"A car accident?" Sora struggled with this concept. "Is he okay?"

As soon as he'd said it, he realized that was a stupid thing to say. Riku's mother wouldn't be here without him if Riku was okay. He clung to hope though...

"I'm sorry, Sora," Yukita sighed, "He's been flown to the mainland for emergancy care."

Wait, that wasn't what Sora was expecting. "Then he's alive." Sora was so confused he couldn't betray himself by giving his words any sort of tone.

"We're going to take a plane to Radiant Garden and stay with him at the hospital. All of us." Sora took note of who was there. Sephiroth, who was Riku's uncle, Rikku, Yukkita, Amora, and himself. "But you don't have to come with us if you don't want to. I know you're mad at Riku, but he's very badly hurt."

Sora could tell his mother didn't want to say it, but it was apparent that her best friend's son might die.

"They want a blood transfusion," Sephiroth begain, "and I'm the closest match in the family. If you're going, grab your backpack and come on. Otherwise, you may go home, you'll be excused for two days."

Sora picked up his bag. "I'm ready to go."

The secretary signed out for him. There was a plane that needed to be caught.

Dying didn't feel the way he'd expected it would. He found himself standing in a world of white, alone and... Not really afraid. The feeling he got there was neither pleasant nor unpleasant. Just white. Nothing but white for miles in any direction. All the white... It was sufficating, really.

He could vaguely hear a loud roaring noise in the background. And he could feel a little bit. There was something odd about his face. It felt wet and there was deffinately something covering his mouth and nose.

Was he being forced to breathe? That must be it.

He tried to reorrient himself, but that was a difficult thing considering he couldn't see anything. Not anything that wasn't bright white anyway. He wondered if he was dying at all.

He tried to say something but all he could hear was incoherrant babbling.

"Hold on little guy," he heard an angel say, "We'll get you through this."

Reclining in his lazy-boy, wearing a pair of shorts, some dirty white socks, and a white tee-shirt that could only be used as an undershirt, Axel turned the channel on his tv. Nothing quite like skipping a day of school to make you realize how long a day lasts. At one side, Axel had a bag of cheesey poofs and at the other, a nice cold sweaty can of Dr. Pepper. The only thing that could make today better was-

Ding-dong.

Axel checked his watch. 3:40. The only person he could think of that'd come visit him after school was-

"ROXAS!"

He opened the door gleefully only to find a very low spirited Roxas at the doorstep.

"Axel..."

"What's wrong, honey?" Axel asked, pulling Roxas into his appartment.

Roxas scratched the back of his neck. "Sora just left for Radiant Garden. Riku's at the hospital."

"The hospital?" Axel was surprised. "What happened to him?"

"I dunno, but Zack said it was bad. The principal had to go give him a blood transfusion."

"Wow." Axel said, "Have you talked to Tifa about it?"

"What?" Roxas was startled, confused.

"She tends to know the details. About everything."

"Oh." Roxas said, seeing the logic in this. "No, but we could call Aerith, she always has the 411. Whether she wants it or not."

"Let's not bother." Axel whispered, at first defeated. "I know where she works, I could drive you over there. We could talk to her and then maybe have dinner."

"Where does she work?"

"Someplace fancy."

Roxas smiled for the first time in over an hour. "I'm totally there."

The Turks (Reno, Rude, Elana, Tsing, their leader Rufus Shinra the II, and a few others that hadn't earned their street cred yet) were loitering. This was one of the most violent crimes the Turks had pulled off yet. They loitered better than any other gang on the block. Organization XIII beware, The Turks were in the his-ouse.

Reno was especially keen on loitering today. He knew Demyx would be coming into work any minute.

He always thought Demyx was sort of a mean flirt. For example, one day, Reno brought Demyx flowers and Demyx thanked him by kicking him in knee cap. What a tease!

Reno wasn't quite sure what he was going to do today, but he certainly didn't want to give Demyx any more flowers for a while. He still had a bit of difficutly walking. He silently wondered if perhaps he should have gotten that looked at.

Regardless, he was happy to see Demyx coming. "Hey there, Ditty Moore."

Demyx gave Reno an incredulous look. "What was that?"

"Ditty, you're looking possitively delicious today. You got some chicken and dumplins for me?"

"Excuse me? Don't I have a restraining order against you?" Demxy had to admire Reno for his sheer... Stupidity.

"Not really." Reno said, "You love me too much for that."

"Is all of this some kind of joke?" Demyx asked. "I know I told on you about the test and everything, but I mean... This is taking it a bit far. How long have you been stalking me now?"

"You're so funny," Reno giggled.

"GAH!" Demyx ran inside.

"See that, boys?" Reno nodded to them all. "That's my man in there."

Rude couldn't help but snort at that.

"Hey, boys." Aerith winked, "What can I get you?"

Axel smurked. "A nice cup of your smile'd be a good start."

She giggled, "Axel, really!"

"That's the ticket. I'm also going to be wanting a Dr. Pepper, and my- Well, Roxas will be having a Diet Coke."

"I'll have those for you in no time."

"Wait, Aerith!" Roxas stopped the waitress and asked her what she knew about Riku.

"He was in a car accident. Tifa says he swirved out of the road and hit a tree, we're not sure what he was trying not to hit. The lady whose tree he hit said it might have been chipmunks. I dunno. He hit his head on the windshield, the air bag inflated late. Something about trauma to the head and neck. Tifa's Dad said he'd lost a lot of blood, that Principal Sephiroth had to go give him some blood. It's bad. Really bad."

With that, Aerith took their orders (They ordered small appetizers. The food was incredibly expensive and Roxas had invited Axel back to his place for dinner with his Dad) and went to the kitchen to post them. 'Wonder why Axel came to a fancy place like this in a white tee shirt and shorts?'
