Then the results were announced, and you could just tell Lou was happy more than a seed went into buying him. "You got me at a real bargain, ghoul." at least, if they had been measuring his value by self worth. Which they weren't.

Sure. Her comments were ominous, but this ghoul was probably just trying to intimidate him. Well, she'd have to try harder than that!

"Servitude, huh? I like the sound of that. Chaque fois que vous me voulez, mon cher." The boil took a little bow, grinning up at Shehk with those pearly whites. "Though, preferably a day when you'll be exceptionally desperate and lonely."

What was even. Shik was still nursing his concussion and snarling obscenities at Shaheen backstage when a gnome told them to go on. And when the chieftain forced him up and restricted his wings with her own body, well, the curses only increased.

Shik was in the worst of moods as he was pushed into the open, hands tied behind him, his waist bandages missing, and most awful of all a smug Shaheen to blame for it all. "What is going on?" he hissed to her, turning a baleful glare at the audience. There were more than one of them and...

Goddess of milk? Bronze hair?

"Is this...Are you selling me?"

Freya was pretty sure Muka was hitting on her boilfriend.

But more importantly. People were yelling bids and trying to buy people. And Freya wanted to play the buying people game. She looked out at the six people on stage, held her finger up in front of her face, and pointed it at each person suspiciously...

"Eeny.. Meanie... Miney.."

"Lan." Invictus's voice was much harder than it normally would be.

"We do not need to possess War." he said, a steely grate bleeding into his tone, an audible displeasure that Eris would likely get quite the kick out of if it wasn't highly likely she was determining the best method of murder herself right then. Yet Invictus kept his arm around her waist, still as devotedly attached to the heiress as he had been the entire 'auction'. A petty game, really. Eris would grow bored of her playthings as she always did and then she'd be back where they all knew she belonged.

Invictus had never needed to try and possess her, as she was already his. His, and False was touching her. Sharp as well as pressing his luck, and the gravity field around the protector steepened for a moment, just long enough to make anything small and not smart enough to get away from him in a hurry go splat into the floor.

"Do not touch her." If his possessiveness had been playful before, his annoyance made it less of a game.

Muka turned his head to slowly blink at Freya as her boilfriend bid.

Of course it wasn't easy getting Shik out onto the stage. He was large. And heavy. And, well, there was just no way he was going to go peaceably, was there? She did manage to get him out there, though. He was likely still weak from their earlier fight, and hopefully dizzy from the concussion she had given him.

At his question she just smirked, and leaned her face forward to whisper in his ear. "I said you should smile, Shik. Let all the lovely people see how pretty you can be." She had no doubt in her mind that he was scowling.

Oh my, but there were a lot of students and horsemen in here! The room had really filled up after she had made her way backstage!

"DON'T LET HIS EXPRESSION FOOL YOU! SHIKOBA LEN MIGHT PUT ON A FIERCE FACE, BUT HE IS REALLY NOTHING MORE THEN A GIANT TEDDY BEAR!!" She shouted this all out to the crowd, smiling brightly.

He was so going to try and murder her after this.

"Why, hello, Lan!" She hadn't noticed the conquest woman until she had spoken to Shik. "Still searching for the perfect moving target with which to practice your archery on?"
