*Shortstraw sat there with a smile, "So if you never had a challange you would find yourself thrilled. Becuse once the worlds is a playground and you ravige thorugh you will ge board, and if there was anyone left by that time, nothing would be a challange, thus you would end up laying there stuck inside the same mind, wondering around looking for somthing to face, something to show power over, power is only something over another, if there is no other, there is no power. Somthing i was tought in the two years i was gone. It's called equal ballance. I may not be getting anywhere as far as to a point to you, but i obviously am doing somthing correct if your still liening to me int he first place. I am short, i'm not ever going to be as strong as you, but im not too stupid, stupid yes to you. Your brillant, but that holds nothing over me, it dosn't matter. So it comes down to if you left everything how it was and took over when needed, what wanted, when you could show your power and let loose. To do that you need both of you." He nodded.

Kiera took a second to take the lollipop out of her mouth and lick it, before she put it back in. "I'm not so stupid that I would kill every living being out there. Even I am not that malicious. You're right, power is something over another. And I intend to keep that attribute." She licked her lips, putting her face close to the pocket as she ravaged through it. "And I'm listening to you because the other Kiera wishes me to do so. If me and her do not reach a compromise about our goals then we're never going to get anywhere. This is one thought we have in common, I suppose." She reached her whole arm into the pocket. "But that's where the understanding ends." She smiled, grabbing hold of something. "And I'm not very well prepared to let her ruin everything that I've set up for her. To get what I want, I need the other Kiera. To get the other Kiera, I had to please her for a while. She loosened up as she found you. She became.. weaker. But that is all fine. Her mind becomes weaker as a result of it. Easier for me to take over in vulnerable times, the only time when I am supposed to be of use." She pulled an item out of the pocket. Small, only fit in the palm of her hand. "If I hadn't manifested as I have, then Kiera would probably have been able to live without me and extract me. But since I was close with her for a lot of the time, we're bonded now." She pointed to him. "Much as you have bonded her to you. But of course. More.. direct." She licked her lips and twisted the lollipop in her mouth. "All this information won't be too useful to you when you're dead, though." She dangled the dart Kiera had made in her other hand.

*Shortstraw shook his head, "Then kill me. If you feel it will help both of you out. You see i'm a lesser then you, i oppose no threat through power, yet here it is you have to kill me. So even though i hold no power aginst you, or to match you, you still see it as i need to die becuse of me being around you." He smiled, "Though i heard you say it. The point i was trying to get accross, so i really did all i wanted to do whilest talking to you. But i do ask that if you ever need help... ask me. it seems dislikly, but it's there." he smerked, "and thanks for lisening... keria." he smiled, "it's so hardt o be tough though when five minets ago i was hugging you..." he laughed, "it's so weird and confussing." yep he was shortstraw still in the end, no change in any way, just shortstraw.

Kiera's eyes softened a little, but she snapped back as she shut her eyes. "I'm not going to kill you yet, Shorty." She shook her head. "No, not just yet. I have other plans for now. And it'd distress the other Kiera so bad if I killed you." She shrugged. "She'd kill herself and me. That would prove to be a bit of a hole in the map." There was nothing left but the stick of the lollipop now, and she took it out. "I can't believe she lets you fawn all over our body like that. It's disgusting." She shuddered, before crushing the dart in her hand and letting the remnants of it fall to the floor.

*Shortstraw smiled, "yea well thats love for you. Its kinda funny if you ask me. You of course. i know that a mind is a mind, the consous of a combination of a soul and an organ known as the brain. Each person is born with each. And there is only one personality untill that mind forces itself to split apart. So i find it funny that your are the same as her, you and her at the same and yet you speak like that. So all in all, you only exist sepritly becuse her ind devided that way, and when i say her mind i ment all of you. Probably when the soul was fist messted with, when you desided to make the dealw tih asher for the first time, when what yuji did and ameile, made you cry out for attetnion. Thats most likely when your mind split into a personality, what you want, need, and are is one thing. But how you seperate yourself from good and bad, from one though or choice of one or two, is another thing all toghether. In end, a random thing will make your mind snap back together. It can be fourced becuse of my soul, but i wont do that to you keira. Instead i'll let it works it's self out." He nodded witha smile.

Kiera's expression fell more into bitterness than amusement now, and the turned away slightly. "So there you have it, you think you understand me now. Well, at least a little." She licked her lips. "I don't have any desire to... ruin things for Kiera. However I won't let her ruin things for me, either. We have separate plans for separate lives. How unfortunate that we are together, and how unfortunate that she created me." She swallowed. "For bad times. I'm only supposed to be there for bad times. To deal with the pain, to be the stone cold soul that she could turn to when she is hurt or broken. And as you said, which led to my creation in the first place." She shook her head, and looked to the mirror again. "And what happens when the other self has desires of it's own? Do the two merge and co-operate? No. If this were a perfect world, then yes." She gripped the table. "And this isn't a perfect world. It should burn for all of Kiera's misfortunes."

*Shortstraw was opeing a rapper to some candy and looked up, "oh wait... you think that it's aobut the misfortions?" he paulsed and started laughing, "are you kidding me. Thts the lamest excuse i ever heard. Misfortions is only somthing that happens, and later happened. But one thing always leads to another. For instance, if my parents didn't die, i wouldn't have met keria int he first place, nor you. If i didn't leave for those two years, i would probably be dead, becuse i would have torn myself appart, tryingto keep up with you at the time. When things happen, chain reactions happen, good and bad things. you can burn it all you want, afterwords some good will come out of it, some bad may come out of it. When i tree lived for a thousend years. And you burn it. It's bad that i had died right, but it's good that becuse of it burning and turning to ashes, that it regrows into a better stronger and no longer alone tree. Chain reactions. I fyou can't understand that, then i can't understnd how you yourself and judge." He nodded. He had a point and he know that proably would have made more sense then anythig he said so far. he looked back to his candy with victory of getting al the rapper off of it.*

Kiera looked to the floor out of the corner of her eye, then back to the mirror. "Life isn't fair. It isn't supposed to be. And never will be. And so afflicts the different opinions that me and her have." She brushed her hair back off her eyes. "Misfortunes are a part of this unfair life, and such that can't be changed won't be changed by someone like me." She paused. "But some kind of exertion must take place. Every time I let her be herself for a while, I must have some leeway. It is essential for her sanity. And so events like the one where she shot you and the night of the lit sky happens. When it builds up like that. It tends to leave a mark, so to speak." She coughed. "I'm not looking for the good that comes out of the bad. Because that would be far too fair for my liking. I'm not asking you to understand my mentality, either. The other Kiera's is much simpler." She grit her teeth. " 'Be nice to everyone and they will be nice to me. If not, then that is something that a person must always prepare themselves for.' And while you're at trying to befriend everyone, why don't you stab yourself in the back to not give someone else the trouble?" She shook her head. "It's all bull. One thing leading to another. I base my ideas off this, you b*****d. How do you think I could be here right now without it?" She inhaled deeply then sighed.

*Shortstraw nodded, "So we simply won't let it build up. Instead you two can swap out, thats the idea i been getting at. And when i say swap out, i mean in the right timing. I don't me the moment you let out you kill all you can before the time is over and you swap back." He stood up, "I understand what your saying though. I guess theres enough of you in all of us, everyone does the same as you two do, except you two split yourselves to back eachother up. Most of us, can't do that so easly. So we sometimes loose control over ourself when it builds up to, we are exacly the same as you, other then the fact that you know your split appart and such." He nodded, "you are correct however in it all...." He nodded, "but i find it cool that i can see this. And talk to both sides. I mean when someone decides somthing, it either yay or nay, you actully can talk to yourself about it and equal it out before the decitions are made that is a nice feature you can share." he chukkled. "To me your both keria still though. After i leave this room, unless you talk to me as a diffrence in direct, then your keria all the same. You are keria. She is Keria. Your both one life. And untill you accept it as a whole, and somehow, whatever it is that makes i happen, you two will one day becomeone again. And still your be keria. With less complications." he nodded. he was out of things to say really. Quesiton was when and how long untill there mind did get put together again. Obviously it has been spliting apart more and more over time... perhaps thats a sign. he didn't know, but he was goign to let it nataruly take its course. he had 5000 years to figure it out. And untill that day, he would still see her as keria. and when the day came, she's keria, the good and the bad.

Keira started giggling, which lead to a flurry of laughing. " 'Less complications.' So you're just wishing to take away all my complications. The other Kiera is the one you love, not me. I'm not the one you united with the other night. As horrible to endure as that was. However there is one thing that me and Kiera share always, and something that will never change about either of us." She held the lollipop stick like a cigarette. "Our stubbornness." She turned back to him, the redness in her eyes really shining now, even more so than before. "I talk about Kiera like she is someone completely different to me. And you talk to me like me and her are the same person." She flicked her hand. "I suppose I'm in the wrong here, me and her are the same person. Unfortunately, I don't like her. I like her power, and love to harness it. But she doesn't use it enough for my liking. Until she makes her life more... entertaining for me. I will not wish to compromise with either of you." Kiera had bit her lip so much that it had started to bleed, and she licked it all up. "And one last thing." She pointed lazily. "Don't talk about this bipolar-ism as if it's a great thing. If this was happening to you, then you'd see how much hell this really is."

*Shortstraw shied and gave a nod* "you are you. That is a fact, not a opinion. And if your so diffrent, then why would it matter if we were willing to work with you, if your not willing to work with us. Also, your right i have no idea. I'm winging it on facts alone, that really are more of a side matter of the entire talk we had. You know i have no idea, but i figured instead of just taking a side, and doing all i can aginst one side, i would instead take neither side and fight for both. It's fairty, as you put it earlyer. you ahve as much right as she does, that was the whole point to this. And frankly, i figured you would have lost your temper already by now."

Kiera giggled again. "What point would there be to lose my temper in a situation like this? None." Her jaw tightened. "And it matters to me that you're trying to work with me because I have no desire to work with you. There's always reasons. Because I am different, I have no ambition to be easy on you two nor give you any clear solution to your problems, even if I had figured them out for myself." She shrugged. "I'm difficult. ******** me, right?" She giggled again. "I've never had as much right as the other Kiera, nor will the fact remain that I will have as much right. I never will. Kiera will always have the main control, because she is the original. I have no illusions about that fact." She shook her head. "And I don't care. It's time for a change, anyway." If anything, Shortstraw had only enforced Alter Ego's ideas. She sighed and looked to the window. "I've been out for too long, anyway. Kiera will faint for sure."

Kiera paused for thought, then sighed. "My presence surfacing takes a lot out of her. Don't ask me why. Something about the brains rejection of me being split from her, I dunno." Kiera walked over to the bed and sat on it with her legs crossed. "Yes, you are the first person who tried. For that I suppose you've earned some respect from me. However the more you find out the less you will want to know." Oh the joy of riddles.

*Shortstraw shrugged and looked to her, "i'll have to stand up, stay strong and take my chances wont I. All in all, not saying you will or anything, i would rather have both sides like and trust me. I think it's going to be alittle harder when one side hates me, and the other loves me. It's... a scary thought in a humans point of view." He laughed. "Though the brain thing makes sense. Tell me though, what would it do if you were out for a whole day?"
