"I shall choose neither. For I have lost nothing to avenge, and nothing is left for me to protect. I am a shell of a man that walks in solitude, I protect nothing, nor do I care enough to avenge what is gone from this world. The path I choose, is Isolation."
As the shattering battle of the demon and demigod came to an end. The world seems to froze in awe of the results. Drak, dis-equiped from Michi and turns to look away from the two corpse disappearing. Their souls were shattered and were returning to the life stream. Like fireflies Sanctum and Atticus wither away slowly. "So long, my dear friend..." Drak wasn't crying nor made an emotion. Though there was tears rolling down his face. He wasn't crying but his heart was, at the lost of a dear friend.

Eric looked over as the portal opened up. "Sounds like a plan," he said, starting to walk towards the portal.
Harold walked forward and grabbed Eric by the arm. "Eric..." he said, holding him back. Eric turned back to look at him. "I know what you're thinking. Don't." Eric and Harold stood looking at each other for a long moment, as if having some kind of silent conversation. Finally Eric nodded. "Ok," he said simply before turning back to the portal. Sarah clutched Harold tightly as reality began to crumble. "And please....don't tell the past me about how I am now....if he finds out...he'll think it's a bad thing and try to fight it..." he said to all of them. Eric nodded without looking back. "Of course," he replied, standing before the portal.
As Shira stood up and frantically looked around for the past Atticus, a small portal would open up in the same place that the Future Atticus has vanished. From within the portal, an unconscious Atticus would emerge barely breathing, but still alive. It seemed as though his will to live had allowed for him to survive with what little organs he had left. As the portal vanished, Atticus would use what little strength he had left, to open up his eyes. Looking around he would see everyone there, gathered near him. For the first time in a really long time, Atticus would shed tears of joy as his friends were safe, "L-Lets, go home." he muttered as he would then close his eyes and rest, as the injuries from Shira's blast was still apparent as he spit up blood.

Marai looked down at the younger Atticus and smiled slightly before looking at the others "The portal will lead to my home, we can heal your Atticus there and then send you guys back to your time, let's get moving." She said as she walked up to the portal, waiting for everyone else to leave before her. Once they would enter the portal, they would fin themselves in a gigantic looking house with items floating everywhere, much similar to Charlotte's taste in style. The ceilings looked like they were the sky above, occasionally changing colors.
Shira relaxed in slight relief when she saw Atticus was still alive. She quickly ran over and managed to lift him onto her back. She glanced at the others for a moment, glad to see that they all managed to get out of there. She walked into the portal then and stepped into the house. She blinked a few times as she adjusted to the change in atmosphere.
Eric gave a smile as he saw how happy Atticus was to see him. Then he, Harold and Sarah stepped through the portal, coming into Marai's home. "Woah! Awesome!" said Sarah in wonder, following around some of the floating objects. "Don't run off now, Sara," Harold told her as he looked around. He had actually never been here either.
Eric stopped and looked around at the floating items. It did remind him of Charlotte, though he had never seen her house except from a distance during their fight. He put his hands in his pockets, following the various items with this eyes, determining whether each one was dangerous or not. Despite Harold managing to talk him out of his plans, he still felt distinctly uncomfortable with Marai and her being the Head of the DMA. Now they were directly in her territory. "Is this within the DMA or is it separate territory?" he asked, watching the sky change colors.

Drak, would move on towards the portal. He hesitated and stops. Turning around and look at Michi standing there. He knew that he may not be Gin. Nor her partner, but he made a promise...and he plans to keep it. Drak smiled a bit and turns around and enters the portal to the Mistress's house. The past may not be where Drak belong, but he had to go there. Not for himself nor for his duty, but Michi.

Marai stepped into the portal and appeared behind the others "Separate territory..." she said in response to Eric, she lightly patted his back "Quit acting so tense... I am not evil or anything..." She said as she looked around and opened a door "Put him in here I will start healing what injuries he has left. All of you are free to come in as well." She said as she entered the room which had a bed as well as a table and chairs. She snapped her fingers and the floating objects went back to their normal spots.
Shira walked into the room and laid Atticus down on the bed. She looked out a window and saw nothing but stars and rays of light. She was in awe for a moment before looking back at the others.
"I will fight for what I believe in no matter the cost."

Eric was about to object to suddenly throwing Atticus in a random room when he remembered that Marai had referred earlier to Atticus as her brother. Okay, he's safe with her then I guess he thought. He felt Marai pat him on the back and tell him not to be so tense. Sorry, it's more the "nurture" side of "Nature and Nurture," he replied, referring to how he had been raised in the arenas. Unfamiliar territory had always been a bad sign. If the arena masters changed the terrain of the arena it meant a particularly grueling fight. Nevertheless he relaxed his guard slightly, as an olive branch to Marai. I better not regret this... he thought. He noticed Shira looking at them and turned to look at her, wondering if she was getting ready to say something.
"Aww..." said Sarah as the floating things all returned to their places. She had been following a lamp burning with a purple flame. She reached out to pick it up when Harold called out to her. "Sarah, you know better than to touch other people's things without permission," he said. Sarah turned to Marai. "Marai can I touch your things?" she asked with a big smile, illiciting a sigh from her father.
"Everything in here is harmless." Mirai said to Sarah as she sat down next to Atticus. She placed her hand on his chest and muttered a few words before a warm gold aura seemed to illuminate from her hands as she healed his wounds "Hopefully this helps make his recovery much faster." She said "Go ahead and have a seat if you want, we may be here for a little bit... I have to finish this as well as make the portal for all of you." She told them politely.
Shira decided to sit down then, she glanced around before looking at Mirai healing her partner. She watched quietly before looking at the others "Is everyone alright?" She asked, making sure none of them were injured.

"Yay!" said Sarah as she picked up the lamp and held it up, looking into the fire.
"Nothing I can't handle," Eric assured Shira with a tired smile as he took a seat. He looked over at Dara, making sure she was okay and gave her a quick hug. Harold folded his arms as he looked around the room. "I'm okay," he said, thankful that the battle was over. The potential effects of their knowledge on the future worried him, however. If it were just himself to worry about he would be okay. But what if they changed something and caused his family never to have existed, even without meaning to? A worried expression crossed his face as he thought. He glanced over at Sarah, not knowing what he would do if he lost her and knowing he would be helpless once they went back to their time.
