Mirana found Marius in the living area downstairs, reading a book.
"I have finished, Sahip. Kız yeni gibi," she said in Turkish. 'The girl is like new.' Marius stood and took Mirana's hand in his in thanks. He offered her something to drink, but she refused. "I feel there is something more you want of me here. Tell me."

Marius shook his head in astonishment. "Nothing escapes you, Mirana. There is something else I'd like for you to look into. You know of my other slave, the raven-haired one. Rose is her name. I'd like you to erase her memory of a few things. Can you accomplish such a task?"

Mirana curled her eyebrows in heavy thought. She closed her eyes, and Marius watched as they flittered beneath closed lids for a few moments. It seemed as if she was searching for something inside her head. It quite intrigued the half-breed.

Mirana opened her eyes and took a deep breath. "Yes, it can be done."

Marius smiled delightfully. "Delightful! Come, let me explain what I would like removed...."

For approximately an hour, Marius sat with Mirana and explained the events corresponding to the swimming pool and punishment night. Other than asking a few relevant questions pertaining to erasing the girl's memory, Mirana's face was expressionless.

When he was finished, Mirana searched about in her bag and retrieved many ingredients from it. "Bring the girl to me. I require none but her company." She began feverishly churning and mixing potions together, drawing runic symbols on the tabletop in salves and creams, and began singing some rhythmic chant while she brought a kettle of water to a boil in the stove.

Marius bowed respectfully and went up the flight of stairs, searching each room until he found the twins with Rose. He knocked, but didn't wait for an answer.

"Rose, my dear. You are wanted in the dining room. If you please." He stood next to the doorway and motioned for her to venture out of the boys' room.

When she began moving, Marius turned back to the twins. "I see the small, fluffy one is still without a cage. There is some thin fence and wood in the basement. Why don't you do something nice for both Gracelyn and, was it...Cutie? Go make him a house. I'm sure you can find some old curtains for cushion as well. That way, he'll have a place to sleep during the nights, and do his business."

Marius chuckled as the boys fell over one another to reach the small creature. Marius stood still as it scurried up his body and began to squeak angrily at them.

"Now, now, I don't tolerate that sort of language in my home, little one." Marius turned back to the twins as the fuzzball began to groom him. "Go on then, make him a home. Do stay out of the dining room however, and let Gracelyn sleep. If you do not wish to create such a small abode this evening, then I bid you goodnight, as it is becoming increasingly late."

Marius left the boys' room and headed to his own. He unlocked the door and locked it behind him as he walked in, Cutie still on his shoulder. Marius plucked the tiny thing from his shoulder and placed him on the bed.

"Now then, you must be hungry. I may have something here somewhere." Marius went over to a nightstand in the corner of his room and started shuffling through the drawers. "Aha! Here's something." Marius withdrew an unopened package of sweet crackers and walked back over to the bed. He opened the package and set it down near Cutie. "Enjoy. Just try not to make too much of a mess. I'd hate to get crackers out of my fur in the morning. And if you feel you need water, I'll fix you a bowl on the nightstand where I retrieved these. Not exactly sure you understood all of that, but there you have it."

Marius did as he said and went to pour some water in a shallow coin bowl that he had in his room. The water from the sink was crisp and cool, and he placed it on the nightstand where the crackers had been. Marius knew it would end up being too late for Mirana to travel back tonight, as well as the fact that there was no dirigible for her to travel upon. She would more than likely find a room to rest for the night and travel home in the morning.

So Marius fixed a fire in his room, and he had forgotten to tell his housemates to do the same, stripped, and then took a brief shower to rinse off any grime. He shook himself dry and licked at his paw to fix the fur by his ears. He wrung his tail dry and settled in bed, naked, and fell gently to sleep to the hypnotic sound of Cutie nibbling away at the crackers.

Mirana sensed the girl coming into the room before even seeing her. "Come. Sit," was all she said.

"Sahip requests I listen to you talk. So come, speak."
Mirana continued singing her song, but lower now, as she sang a diminuendo of the lyrics. The tea kettle screamed and she went to fix a cup of dandelion leaves and crushed periwinkle petals, with a hint of rosemary. Each ingredient was selected as they are wonderful remedies to increase memory and concentration. She let the concoction steep while waiting for Rose to sit.

As ironic as it was giving the girl a drink to enhance her memory, it was needed so that the events lay fresh in her mind for the moment they will be erased. Mirana also fixed another cup of tea, this time with a crushed mixture of chamomile, opium poppy, and lavendar. This drink is designed to present a tranquil healing.

As such, the process would go like this: the girl would sip the rosemary tea and recall a painful memory. She would verbalize the memory, and then sip at the lavendar tea. Instantly, the memory would vanish.

"Come now, before your teas cool, and I shall explain what we shall do with them."

Mirana finished her chanting and sat across from the girl called Rose.
"There are two teas because there are two parts to your healing. You drink this tea here," she pointed to the rosemary tea, "and then you tell me your secrets. Then you take this tea here," she pointed to the lavendar tea, "and your pain will be gone."

The gypsy pushed the girl to being talking and then slowly began to lead her in the direction that Marius had wanted to be eliminated. If the girl cooperated, the process would be finished before the kettle cooled.
