"Are you trying to leave?" Rachel asked, eating her own sandwich.

Hazel eyes glanced up, Timothy staring fearfully at the thought of Daren leaving him alone. Part of him didn't mind but another part wanted him to stay.

"Only guilty people leave." Amanda said. "What are you guilty of, Daren Aomine?"

"Juice." Timothy spoke up suddenly against his will. If Daren wanted to run he'd let him. "I'd like some juice and there isn't any."

Rachel looked at the pina colada flavored drink. "Yea I suppose this was a big step, and your soda can is nearly full. Poor dear, start with baby steps." She stroked his hair as Timothy gave a final glance to Daren, eating his sandwich.

Amanda sighed. "Well you heard him. Go get him juice. If you're not here within five minutes your sandwich will be gone."

"So how have you been?" Rachel asked. "You have more color in your face today."

"Yea, I've been sleeping a lot and I've always given plenty of food."

"This isn't cucumber!" Amanda said, looking at the pepperoni before looking up at her son sadly. "I'm sorry, Timmy-Bear. I'll make them better tomorrow."

"Don't worry, Mother, they taste delicious. But, you're not really going to eat Daren's are you?"

"You have to live with him for at least three ears." She said irritably, tearing into her sandwich. "That makes me very, very unhappy."

That was true. "But I'll have a job, and I'll pay my half of the rent and utilities."

"Andrew was on the news." Rachel said. "They're trying to make sure he isn't offered bail, but it's a very hard battle. He was a major CEO. he has friends."

"He has lots of friends." Timothy agreed softly, nibbling on a pepperoni slice.

"I'm sure he won't get it, look at what he did to poor Timothy! Sweetie if that Aomine treats you terribly or even raises his voice you call me and I'll whoop his a**."

He raised an eyebrow. "Whoop his a**, mother?"

"Yea you're too tiny, Amanda. Let me do it." but the officer's voice made her turn. "Oh, welcome back."

"You're lucky, everyone is still eating." and shoved the plastic wrap sandwich at him.

"Thank you, Aomine." the man smiled at Dare before taking the paper cup and sipping. "Mom said Andrew was in the news. Did you know?"

"I don't want to be known." Timothy murmured, taking another small bite of his sandwich. He should really thank Iroh when he came around again. He was leaving tomorrow, maybe he would come visit then.

"If Timothy is on the news there wouldn't be much we could do about it except maybe take a back entrance or something to get him out tomorrow." Rachel suggested.

"I hope Iroh keeps his promise." Amanda said "Or he'll be recieving some very nasty calls."

"Mother, he's a nice man." the auburn-haired male reached out and grabbed her hand gently, sitting up to do so. "They're going to do all they can to protect me and you two."

"Oh!" she moved and hugged him tightly, crawling into bed with her son. "You grew up to be so wonderful. I'm sure the man who donated you was also very nice and considerate."

"And handsome." Rachel put in, looking at Aomine. "He'll be moreso when he's gained his weight back so if in two months he's still like this." and grinned, letting the unspoken threat hang in the air as she took another sip of her own drink, finishing her sandwich.

Amanda seemed uneasy from her spot on the bed. She didn't want to teach her baby boy to be a fighter, she wouldn't even let him get close to BB Guns let alone teach him how to fight. But then again, considering everything Andrew had done, how had Timothy defended himself? She looked up at her son who looked down at her and smiled, quickly hugging him tighter. "I don't want my baby to be a fighter."

"Nothing but your boxers, eh? That and we'll find the slutty nurse to let her watch." and took another drink. "Speaking of Slut where is she with Timothy's medication? Damn nurse. Bet she's blowing another patient." and stood, exiting the room to find the whore leaving Daren with Amanda and Timothy.

"What sort of fighting styles? Just to defend?" Amanda asked. "I don't want him fighting, he's too frail and fragile."

"She pulled me out of Taekwondo because she watched me during my first day of practice get beat by a girl." Timothy murmured with a smile. He'd forgotten about that. "But, but I'd really like to defend myself. I don't want... to be that way again." bruised, broken, apologizing because his life really did depend on it.

Rachel's yelling was starting to be heard outside, Amanda thinking. "I suppose, if just for defense. But it has to be somewhere with lots of cushion like the training center at the police station or something!"

Amanda listened as Daren explained. She didn't like it. Not at all. She'd prefer somewhere public so Daren didn't try to make a move on her son but... but still. What did she know? "He has confidence, you don't need to work on that." she snapped.

His confidence? Well, Timothy supposed he could use some polishing. Did he have confidence with Andrew? What if Andrew was bailed out? Would he come find him? Would he hurt Timothy? The man hoped not, he didn't want to be hurt again.

"Just walk in and walk out!" Rachel yelled, stalking in quickly behind. "No one wants to smell what you've been swallowing!"

The patient was surprised at his mother's yelling, it was loud and demanding and wouldn't take any sort of bs. "N-No. No thank you." he murmured weakly, giving a smile and a faint blush at her wink. "Th-The medicine is, is all I need."

"C'mon, out with you! I don't want you wrapping your legs around my son now out!"

"Then please get out." she hissed, growling until Kathy was out. Honestly, how did that slut work here? Daren made her smile though, relaxing and fixing her hair. "Yes well, if I left it to Amanda she'd kill them."

"Would not!"

"So it is my job to yell. I'm practically the man of the relationship." and sat down again. "Huh, not a bad idea."

"Y-you can't!" Timothy exclaimed, suddenly receiving weird looks from everyone. "W-Well she has to harass me first? Right? You guys would be lying. All she's done is flirt."

"Timmy-bear," Amanda cooed. "Flirting is practically the new sexual harassment." She turned to Daren. "Let's put her a** in jail. her and Andrew will have a great time."

"I'd really rather not press charges. She's just flirting." he mumbled.

Amanda stroked her son's hair. "You're so nice, Timmy. Oh we raised you good."

As Aomine sat himself on the ground Timothy could only stare, a smile trying to force its way onto his dry lips. Why? Because he'd just, just plopped himself there and didn't seem to mind. A small giggle managed to escape but he looked away, biting his lower lip.

"Aw, Daren," Rachel cooed, looking down at the officer. "If you needed somewhere to sit you could sit on my lap. C'mon, plenty of room." she teased, patting her thigh.

Amanda frowned at this, wanting to sit in her own wife's lap but then Daren would get the bed. This wasn't good. She didn't like it. Getting off she shoved he teddy bear at her son, seating herself politely onto her wife. "There," she said stiffly. "You have a seat."

Amanda brightened from her spot on her wife. "They're doing great. School doesn't start until next week but this week we had to go in and discuss lesson plans and start to decorate our classrooms and the hallways." she thought a moment. "I have a class of nearly thirty kids though, planning where to put the desks was really hard, the classroom is big but in the back and along the sides are computers for them to use."

"We never had computers in my classroom." Rachel muttered.

"I always used the computers in the library." Timothy agreed. Kids sure had it easy nowadays.

"But I suppose it's still big enough, I just don't want them too close together for chatting. I haven't decided whether to go alphabetically or boy girl boy girl or if they grew up who would look cute together."

Timothy laughed with his mom. "They're to young, though!"

"Please, my first crush was in 1st grade." Rachel said, chin resting on the small shoulder. "You boys don't start to mature until college, if even."
