Twila shruged "I don't know... magic." She smiled "Solves everything... or not. Though the question is who really cares enough to think of the solution....well there probably is some one...."

Akumi shrugged one shoulder, his gaze rising towards the sky. "Meh, I know a few other tricks that would really startle you, like turning a copper penny to a golden one," he said with amusement.

Twila looked at him. " Isnt that... impossile to change something into gold... I didnt stay in school long but I know basic science..... At least I thought I did...." she frowned abit now even more confused.

Akumi snickered. "Don't ask me how... I know little about chemistry other than how to blow things up, so I frankly have no real idea," he said with amusement. It was absolutely true, since he'd actually found the video detailing what he'd just mentioned online and he knew little about advanced chemistry.

Twila laughed " Of course you would know how to blow stuff up." She checked her wings to make shure they were dry then smiled. " I wonder if theres time to fly some more...."

Akumi shifted before he stood with a fluid shift of his hips before he blinked as his his hand where the 'starburst' markings were began to glow with a prismatic red and gold aura. Almost the same moment a beam of bluish violet light sprang up near the natural theatre some distance away and streamed straight up into the sky. Akumi's eyes narrowed, then widened. "It seems like the gemstones are being drawn to one another, though that reaction only happens when two of them are within feet of each other," he said, not sure why he knew that so certainly, but feeling it deep in his abdomen. He inhaled sharply, not realizing the fur on his head had lengthened to resemble his dark golden brown human hair.

Twila looked at the light and tilted her head to the side. " How many of them are there...?" She also go to her feet and streched out her wings abit.

Akumi tilted his head, his gaze locked onto his palm. "If those gemstones are what I think they are, then there's seven of them, he said slowly before he jerked slightly as if punched. His eyes widened as if he noticed something in the beam as it abruptly faded away, though looking closely, revealed a much narrower beam of pale blue light streaming skyward still.

"So... what happens if you find all of them?" Twila asked " Seven... one for each color of the rainbow... so... you make a ranbow with them?"

Akumi shrugged. "I have no idea what will happen, but I have the strong sense that we are needed where that beam just came from," he said, not even sure where the odd feeling was coming from, but knowing it for an absolute certainty. He heard a faint whisper before he noticed Warren had left, apparently to get help just in case they were actually going to check it out.
Akumi, however, didn't wait and simply pushed off the roof, shooting easily a dozen feet into the air and hovering. A slight ripping sound came from his gloves as the tips of the fingers ripped open, revealing he had short half inch curving claws on the tips of his fingers.

Twila jumped off the edge of the roof and flew up. It took her abit to get as high as Akumi. " Jeeze you could probably set a record on high jump in the olympics if you tryed." She giggled. " Though, probably get disqualified.... they might count powers as cheating... we need mutant olympics."

Akumi snickered slightly. "You should mention that to Jean, she'd probably try to get that actually going... maybe it'd be a way to get mutants to quit brawling with one another every chance they get," he said wryly, half amused. It was actually a good idea. He shrugged at her comment about the high jump in the Olympics. He cocked his head slightly as he hovered slowly, going a bit higher every couple of minutes. He let his gaze shift to the southeast, where the beam had come from. His eyes narrowed before widening. He grunted as if punched in the stomach hard. He saw someone lying on the ground of the natural ampitheatre in the distance he was dead certain he'd never seen before, yet his reaction to seeing this person was too real to be faked. He was absolutely certain he had seen her somewhere before, but couldn't remember from where.

"You alright?" Twila asked. He looked fine... well becides the 'just saw a ghost' look. "I doubt Olympics would stop the fighting.... nothing ever stops that... maybe for a short time but..." she shruged. It was just human (and apparently non human, what with alien invasions) to fight.

Akumi cocked his head. "There's someone there," he said quietly before he shot forward, his fur and hair rippling in the wind. The pale blue beam rippled, deepening to a cobalt color that stood out against the sky's pale color. I recognize her, but I don't know how or why, he thought. Almost the moment the thought flickered through his head another memory surfaced, one that consciously he didn't recognize at all, but he knew deep in his gut that it was absolutely true.
A small hedgehog with dark gold hair and green eyes shifted uncomfortably in blue sneakers and a black vest over a white tank top. His reddish gold fur rippled subtly as the humanoid squirrel female with light brown fur giggled at him; she wore a short pink skirt that fell to her knees and a pale rose vest over a deep blue tank top. She also had deep cobalt blue eyes and red hair that curled down over her neck. Akumi inhaled sharply as the memory-flashback faded. He bared his teeth unconsciously. He remembered her now, as clearly as seeing through a plate of clear diamond. His hand shifted subtly, a corona of prismatic golden red light flickering around his hand and rising up his wrist and forearm.

Twila looked at the light abit confused on how he could see that far. Though not much about him made much sence. She fallowed quietly flying up abit higher to see if low oxygen effected her much.
