Amrita's smile faltered for a moment.
"But um...just as a heads up, so you're not surprised. Things like what we're doing now...usually don't end well." Her backwards hand hooked behind her neck, worrying at some stitched hidden by her dark hair. "We usually end up having to fight for our lives." Granted, even detention seemed that way. Up until Amityville, Amrita had no idea that washing machines could be so evil.
"BUT!" She flexed for only a moment. "We'll get through it, don't you worry!" She almost, almost made mention of Taima sticking around them again, but really...that point had been driven so far in it seemed like beating a dead horse.

Once upon a time, Amrita felt the same way. As it were she just smiled a knowing smile and shook her head. "Maybe~ I hope I'm wrong." So far, she hadn't been...but now was still a good time to start! She didn't mind being wrong, honest!
"Aaaand on lighter topics!" The Vetala paused, tilting her head. Lighter topic. What lighter topic did you bring up in a dead-end cavern?! "Uhh...do you liiiike...minipets?" Smooth.

Those at the final end of the hallway would hear something, a faint hiss and then-
A flash of light, and then the echo of something distant. A familiar feeling, very similar to when they grabbed those fragments, as if they spoke of the same Fear, the same memory, a lingering echo left behind.
It was there, just like how the lockers had been. Proof that through Medea's trance, at least for some students, that everything they had encounter in those fragmented memories had happened. Everything was real. This was real.
For those who had not encountered trance, just the spell of the water itself was enough to compel them forwards. It was calling to them. OOC - For those who have made ALL THE STEPS, YOU ARE NOW AT THE "LAKE", in mint condition! - TREASURE: Treasure, glistening gold, still lies at the bottom of the lake. The golden chalice is gone, and so have a lot of the weapons, most of the treasure seems to be in a seemingly endless supply of gold coins and jewels. - AROUND THE LAKE: Around the lake is empty, though occasionally, you swear you can hear a small beeping noise, though you don't know from where. It doesn't matter what is around it, the waters of the lake itself compels you towards it. You feel drawn into them, as if they have powers you cannot fathom. - AT THE LAKE: You try to dive into the lake. In fact you may even try to heartily jump into it. THONK. You hit something solid with a rather shocked sense of surprise. The entire lake seems to have been frozen over. It LOOKS beautiful, it look serene, but the water is entirely solid. In fact, there's not even a way to chip at the surface, more crystal than ice really. It frustrates you to a degree you cannot explain. - RUNES: There are etched runes against the wall as well, glowing a soft blue. They look familiar... - THIS IS NOW FREE EXPLORATION TIME. All students may explore the (frozen solid) lake. Please put any exploring actions you would like a GM to note in BOLD RED. - If you are NOT HERE, you can still follow the steps on page 1 to get to here. EVERYONE IS STILL INVITED.

Stepping through, Jericho came to a complete halt as he realized where they were now. This was the cave from the trance. It was almost exactly the same as it was then. This was both exciting and very concerning for him. Aside from a bunch of stuff missing, it was practically untouched. Slowly, he made his way forth, spying treasures locked away in the depths of the lake... which apparently was frozen over seeing how he was walking on top of it rather than in it.
There was a sort of weak sense of amusement. The treasure was still out of his grasp. The student he had followed in trance had refused to touch any of it.
Though... an idea did come to mind, despite the warnings that were also going off for him. He just had to try one thing. Just had to.
The dragon drew in a deep breath, and then unleashed a plume of flames onto the ice, seeing if it could melt at all.
