She glanced away for a moment, thinking, then she quickly kissed him on the cheek. She rushed back to her regular spot and looked at the TV, looking like nothing had happened though she was bright red in the face. ✼

Marcus face matched the red of Nerines face when she kissed him on the cheek, and sat there just staring at the television trying to process whether that had actually happened or not. He looked over at her out of the corner of her eye and saw that she was as red as he was. He smiled as he pulled her a little closer to him and put an arm around her, getting comfortable and letting his hand rest on her arm, trying to let her feel comfortable with it before trying anything further. He figured it was a sign that she did like him, and wanted to ask her how she felt about him.

Marcus felt happier than he had in a while, and finally decided to break the silence. "Want to see if anything interesting has come on now on one of the other channels?" He could tell it was getting pretty late, and figured she was getting as tired as he was starting to get.

Marcus sat there and stared at the television, surprised by her sudden question. He looked at her for a few moments before smiling, his face red once more. "Yeah I do, I'm just not confident with myself cause I've only really hung out with my sister, so I never have had a girlfriend or anything like that. I know I tease and act like a playboy, but I really haven't even kissed a girl." He looked back to the television, feeling even more embarrassed at having admitted something like that.
