The overpowering pressure of Tyler's ki subsided, he put both hands in his pockets once more, a frown crossed his face, as he wasn't able to deal sufficient damage before Darion withdrew. He cleared his throat before Darion left. "I've told you of my ability, I believe you should honor your agreement." There was nothing more Tyler could do, or would do since the battle had ended.

As the sky blackened and creatures began to pour from it, Tyler smirked...his calm in the face of danger was astounding. Tyler walked back in to the warehouse, but forgot Tohru was having a fit, he just barely dodge a box thrown his way. "I can see you've calmed down." Tyler said, walking forward so she didn't get a lock on him, hitting a moving target was more difficult after all. "Perhaps you can stop throwing things long enough to look outside." Tyler suggested, she'd have to see it to believe it. This wasn't in any of the files they had, it was probably restricted...damn Akasun. "Come on, we should get going...we've got to do what we can." Tyler wasn't obligated to help anybody, but when every student on the island was attacked for no reason, Tyler found it a bit insulting. Akasun had gone to far in allowing this to carry through.

"I know that, we're as safe as could be here...and it's easily defensible, so even if we were attacked we'd be fine. I don't believe we've been targeted...yet, because we're working for Akasun, but that's not to say he won't attack us." Tyler crossed his arms before shaking his head. "I don't know...and that's the problem. We don't know everything, and at best, we're just pawns being allowed to know what we've learned." Tyler went silent for a moment and focused on Tohru's features before shaking his head once again. He sighed before uncrossing his arms and putting his hands in his pockets. "If you want to stay safe, then stay here. I won't put you in unnecessary danger. Not while there's still something to lose." Tyler returned his focus to the creatures, the stream of monsters seemed endless, but Tyler resolved that he had to help. He believed in strength in numbers, but when you put your boot to somebody's head just to show them how helpless they are...it disgusted him.

When Tyler finished talking and walked up to Tyler, he flashed her a bright smile. "True, I'm just doing my job as a leader." Tyler supposed that was only half of a truth, so he'd give her the story she wanted. "You are...important to me, that's why you're wearing that." Tyler pointed at the cross. "The last person to wear that was my sister, she was my entire world. I suppose I was trying to give myself something else important, though, it's not befitting of a leader to fall in love with his subordinate." Tyler spoke with a straight face, and an unreadable expression. "I don't know why I'm telling you this now, but you've got your answer." Tyler actually hoped this would wait until he was off this island, and now was certainly not the time, nor place for this conversation.

Tyler, in response, copied Tohru's expression before placing his hand on her shoulder before she could walk away. He pulled her back towards him and wrapped his arms around her waist, he looked directly in to her eyes, his face becoming a bit easier to read. "I certainly hope you're not mocking my words, after this, I promise I'll have a better way to prove it. Until I finish up here, you'll have to take my word for it." Tyler's smile never vanished, not even now. "Since I'm not one for empty promises, I'll give you a bit of incentive." Tyler stated, before moving to kiss Tohru, but stopping part way. "This is my way of at the very least ordering you to keep yourself alive. This isn't a goodbye, and I'm certainly not letting you go, even after the Red Suns are finished."

Tyler started off with a small chuckle, but eventually broke in to lighthearted laughter. "Wow, that's actually the first thing I expected, but I didn't know it was going to happen." Tyler calmed himself down and took off his jacket, leaving the crimson undershirt since he didn't need too much range of motion. "I'm heading out now, you stay here! Don't die!" Tyler ordered before setting his jacket and aside and leaving the warehouse. He took three weapons with him for this...longsword, scythe, and a bow. He'd never used any of the three weapons, but it was enough.[/exit]
