And now poor Otto seemed to be back to the state he was before Chara had healed him. Eva grimaced, and was very seriously considering attacking the creatures again instead of just defending. If she could get two strikes in, then Chara could heal again, and--
Fortunately, she was distracted from her rather suicidal plan when Davey called out to her. Turning to face him, she shot him a reassuring grin.
"I've been better," She admitted, her face taking on a rather sheepish expression, "But my shield is still up, if just barely." Eva ducked to avoid an enemy who had attempted to throw itself at her, kicking it in the back and sending it stumbling in the opposite direction. Right now, avoiding any attacks was the best thing that she could do. Heaving a sigh, she turned back to look at the moon trainee, lips quirked upwards in a small smile.
"Don't push yourself too hard, okay? Not sure if I'll be any good for healing when I'm like this." It was too risky to try charging Chara right now--not unless she wanted to end up either shieldless or passed out.

Davey recognised the guy approaching, though it took him a few moments to recall the name through the haze of battle. "Wilson, looking good." Healthier than Eva and the other guy, at any rate. Not to mention cutting down the enemy at a decent pace, too.
"Be careful," he warned Eva. He'd do his best to keep the zombie-things from getting her, but at the rate the enemy kept coming, Davey might be in the same boat before too long. At least with a small group of them together, they were slightly safer. "Your healing not working?"
Of course Mr. Charge Right In And Die hadn't bothered to give them any bandages or medical supplies before leading them into this suicide-fest.
Davey had settled into a routine. Cut down a handful of the closest enemies, take damage as more surged to take their place. Unfortunately he was taking more damage than he was dealing out - only just, but when the enemy kept on coming, it wasn't a good ratio.
~ Ready, ~ Azrael finally broke out of a steady stream of muttered insults to announce. ~ Could we please show these brainless morons that we're not as incompetent as you are making us look? ~

Rin's intervention in his fight was a splash of cold water to Rep, jarring him out of his single minded thrill of the fight, making him realise as the chaos cleared a little just how much he'd gotten smacked around, aching all over as he scrambled back into the gap cleared by her. But for all her efforts, all she got was his usual vitriol as he snarled.
"I was doing ******** just fine, I don't need a ******** WOMAN to help me."
He hauled himself to his feet, proper, hefting Tracey in his hands. Trying to blot out the angel's crooning about power in his head in what he mentally termed a ******** bedroom voice. It made his skin crawl.

Another step and swing, getting into the rhythm of it now. Jordan grinned at the rumbling roar Ferros voiced, the sense of the dragon seething with steam-heat and feral fury and joy. They'd be ready to hit something for real now.

Otto huffed, glaring at Eva and the guy who was talking to them. He'd never met him before. He didn't know his name. "Her healing woulda worked if she used it on her damn self." Otto grumbled back, shifting about as he wondered what to do.
He knew attacking now was a dumb idea in his state.

He grinned and attempted to give Davey a happy wave. “Thanks! Glad you remembered me, since you can’t see my fa—“ Wilson stopped mid-sentence when one of the creatures whacked him in the face. Askd;flas Okay, maybe he shouldn’t try to fend of zombies and talk at the same time. Multitasking was not always the best approach to doing things. It took him a few moments to worm back into a pattern, though he was still a bit out of it when he managed to draw closer to the other three. Wilson glanced at the moon trainee before he continued to attempt to bash the zombies with his cannons, except it didn’t seem to be doing much.
“They just keep coming,” he grumbled, before he spoke louder. “Otto. Eva. You still alright?”

Maybe it was because the ground was shaking (or maybe it was because of her flip-flops, but either way Ofelia stumbled and missed what she was trying to do against the mindless horde. The reward for such an action was that she got massively dog-piled by the creatures, their jaws snapping at her and their grubby hands reaching all over.
"GERROFF GERROF GERROOOOOOF." She didn't sound pleased, not at all, and Ofelia kicked and flailed in an effort to get them off and back onto her feet. Getting taken down like this was an insult!

Otto spoke up before Eva could reply, though his answer earned a bright laugh and a light nudge. "What he means to say is that I did heal once...but Chara isn't ready right now to do it again. Not unless--" She cut herself off as she dodged another oncoming enemy, using her staff to keep them at bay, "Not unless I want to try taking down any more of these things."
Which was risky, but getting more and more tempting by the second as she watched the monsters go after Davey. This stream of monsters seemed endless, and it was terribly frustrating to sit on the sidelines while her allies were fighting. That being said, she had a firm grasp on Otto's sleeve just in case the teen got any ideas.
"At best, I could wrap up any injuries if I had any bandages, but..." Trailing off as an idea hit her, she suddenly lifted one of her arms to stare at the robe she was wearing. Well, if it came to that...

Maybe working in a mob with only a close combat weapon wasn't such a good idea. Ofelia managed to kick a few of the things off her body but she was getting chewed up in the process, and her results were poor at best. That didn't mean she wanted to give up, far from it in fact, and she grinned as she rubbed gingerly at the bites and other bruises. This was certainly an awesome way to be introduced to one's new division head and, for what it was worth, Ofelia really really liked him.
At least he was giving them matching uniforms and a lot of things to punch and kick. ( the whole being bitten and hurt thing was a sad side effect, but she digressed )

Wait.. Eva was holding him back? Part of Otto wanted to be stubborn and act out, but two could play this game.
With the same arm he was being held with, he grabbed her sleeve.
That's right. She wasn't going to be playing Hero either.

Rue was ready, or at least Ofelia was pretty sure she was ready (also how was it that she got charged again it was something Ofelia forgot) and the red-head giggled long and loud as she charged into a group of creatures surrounding a person she knew (Eva) and a person she didn't know (other guy with Eva). Kicking and punching them away, Ofelia felt pretty damn proud of herself with the body count and turned to look at the pair.
"HEY, Y'ALL OKAY?" Why was she yelling? BECAUSE YELLING THAT'S WHY.

Eva might not be able to heal right now, but she wasn't taking damage either now that her focus had shifted to defense. The rest of them could do the same if their injuries increased. No one's life was in danger yet, so Eva shouldn't be risking hers, Davey thought.
And in the meantime, maybe Davey could drive down the numbers of the undead some more.
'Ready?' he asked Azrael.

Candace was struck silent by the...Sun leader. He...he was..
...
What the hell.
Candace had changed into the outfit without much complaint and with even less shame, though she was curious how she'd be able to fight in this outfit. The billowy pant legs were not conducive for fighting with her feet.
This became even more apparent when she tried to kill off a wave of undead only to get caught up in her own pants. Damnit!

"What--hey, Puppy!" Eva did not look particularly pleased to find that Otto was holding her back (granted that she was doing the exact same thing to him), giving a little tug as she tried to free her arm.
What the young woman neglected to note that the monsters were closing in behind them, and she remained oblivious until Ofelia suddenly appeared to beat the monsters back. Though she jumped slightly at the yell, the large grin that spread across Eva's face was cheerful and surprisingly upbeat despite the circumstance. "We're good! Thanks for the help, Ofelia!"
Though...sigh. At this point, it looked like she didn't have any choice but to stand back and defend. As she sharply jerked Otto to the side to avoid having him mauled by the nearby enemies, she glanced over her shoulder to look at Davey.
"I know. So long as you don't give me a reason to risk trying, I won't." Which was a not-so-subtle way of warning him to be careful. The fact that the numbers were so heavily weighted in their enemies' favour honestly worried her--how long would they be able to keep this up?.
