Running off, Nakano would find the Scizor rapidly disappear into the distance. It wouldn't be long before the titan was out of sight completely. They were large, but comparatively slow to rise as well. They were machines, not living beings, bound to the limits of their design and programming. Resistance against the elements had been key....movement speed, not so much.

Injured in both body and mind at the moment, Nakano would sit down. She would look to the gapping wound in her shoulder, and without any other things to work on it ....as it hissed and burned thanks to the salt water, she would turn her head away for the moment.
There was nothing else she could do at that moment as she continued her movements.....
"That wasn't fun at all."
She would declare to her .....as she rest against Suzaku. The pokemon would turn her head and clack her beak.
(Not at all)
Nakano would smile lightly. She had almost forgotten about the Pokedex that allowed her to understand and hear her pokemon now. The item clipped on the side of her face as she limps with her weight completely on her.
"So, what did you get from that?"
Nakano would ask her.
(Harder than me, bigger than me, and most important of all .....adverse to element powers. Lucky should have knocked a hole in that thing the size of ...well me.)
Suzaku would comment seriously. She chirp her answers as they walked, and though to one ear it sounded the same with Skarmory ...mory ..skar....it was completely different when she was talking to her other ear directly.
It was an adjustment as they continued onwards.

The walk along the coast was now much more slow going. They had managed to outwalk the Scizor, but, with an empty coast like this ...it wasn't hard to see it in the distances ...nor her.
"I wonder why they are going nuts like that?"
Nakano was talking to herself as she lean and walked. Suzaku was holding herself steady and making her steps with her, the bleeding hadn't stopped yet, and the girl was thinking about ripping off a piece of her own clothing to try and stop it.
IF nothing came up soon, she would have to do just that.

Travelling as she was along the coast, Nakano would soon find her path blocked by an outcrop of spiralling, pointed rocks, like the jaw of some horrible beast. Above a cliff, it's surface too slick to scale up or down.
With such a block the child would be lead back into the Jungle. Perhaps she'd have better luck finding what she wanted in there.

One thing was becoming quite clear, this was taking a long time. A much longer time, and with the injury to her shoulder and her pride ...that wasn't a realization she was happy to come up with. She would continue to move slowly, and allowed herself to continue on her pathway ....her partner, Suzaku would mush up her hair every so often to make sure the girl was still awake and willing to continue.
A flicker of wings, and much more solid body to rest upon helped a lot as they would have to reenter the jungle. In her own mind, a better place if she ran into another of those giant pokemon ....because, she could literally play hide and seek.

It would take a moment to reach the safety of the trees, and the girl would smile at the foliage as they walked. Each step though would make her shoulder ache as they walked slowly yet surely though the forest.
"I can't take on a whole one, but if we find it's pieces ...I can get what I need from there."
She would talk to Suzaku as she would look back at her.
(I don't like fighting something I can't defeat.)
She was obviously not over her own failed attempt. Her feathers would be ruffled for but a moment at the memory, and then she lay them flat. She didn't want to accident cut the girl, considering the sharpness of her feathers.

The relative silence of the Jungle would abruptly cease, the sharp snap of wood filling Nakano's ears, followed closely by the rumble of trees striking against the earth. A deep hiss filled the air as the massive tip of a purple tail landed in the midst of her path.
Looking up she would bare witness to an immense Arbok, standing as tall as the Scizor from earlier. Much of the trees in the area had been snapped, uprooted, and ultimately crushed by the creature's massive coils, and although it hadn't noticed her yet, it had also destroyed most of the places to hide nearby.
Oddly flexible tongue flicking out between it's metal teeth, the mechanical monstrosity seemed to be tasting the air...searching for prey!

Slow and steady was the thought running through her head ....as the girl would literally take one look and try to limp away. She had learned her lesson, and unless there was no way to escape .....she was going to try and slip away from the mechanic monster.
She wasn't going to take more injuries fighting a pointless battle.

The moment Nakano moved the Arbok would turn. She'd made a mistake. Indeed he'd been tasting the air, but serpents hunted by two means. Scent...and the vibrations in the ground. Snakes didn't see very well, nor did human's tend to smell that strongly, especially one so small....but the Arbok had detected the slightest tremor in the ground. The faintest movement caused by her footsteps pressing against the ground.
Turning his head the Arbok would now seek out it's prey...

Though vibration was a poor way to hunt when one was as destructive as this creature. A tree that had been broken in two, and hung by it's barest pieces would finally collapse to the ground. The upper half only, since the lower half though shattered was in tact.
It would hit the ground with a huge thud, and allow her and Suzaku to sneak away in the underbrush. That Arbok would have to find another target.

The girl would count herself lucky ...as they would seek to put as much distances between the metal monster and themselves as possible. Limping further and further into the forest ....they would continue their search for the monster's parts.
Then they can get the hell out of this place.

Yet, how long her luck could hold out was hard to tell ...as they walked onwards. Suzaku would start to chirp a bit ...a song given to hatchling as they walk. The melody itself was a sweet and simple one, and she had to admit she was enjoying herself .....as they continued onwards and onwards.
If only her shoulder didn't hurt so badly.

Deeper and Deeper the two would travel together ......though everything seemed to have gone quiet after their run in with the big one.
The girl wasn't interested in complaining. It was better that things had gone towards slow ...than if it continued to be as sped up as before thanks to their short encounter.

(I wonder if any other students had to go through this?)
Suzaku would ask suddenly as they were walking. The bird would fan her tail a bit, and give her beak a bit of a clack. She was starting to wonder if this wasn't impossible, their luck hadn't been to good so far, and she wasn't how long they could go at the pace they were going.
Maybe, it was time to turn back around and get medical help for the girl.
Though Nakano couldn't hear those thoughts, since they belonged in her head.
"I don't know, but if so ...then that means this isn't impossible, and if we are the first ...we got to succeed for the academy's reputations and my own."
She would dash any of the Skamory's hopes with those words.

"Foooooooood...." A groan would abruptly come from the area up ahead, the grass rustling up ahead.
"Waaaaaaaater...." The groan came again followed the snapping of several twigs.
"Manicure!!!!" The last exclamation came as a wail, and Nakano would learn swiftly enough why. Out from the bushes would appear a girl, scarcely older then Nakano possessing blond hair streaked with pink. It only took one look at the girl to tell she didn't belong in such a place. Dressed it what would have been the trendiest clothing without the tearing, a shimmering purse over one shoulder, and sporting a pair of broken lifts, she looked like her greatest effort before this had been taking the stairs rather then an escalator.
Above the girl's head a Volbeat danced happily through the air, wiggling his glowing posterior about as he morbidly sang ">You're gonna diiiiie, you're gonna diiiiie. Then I shall fly! Fly away!!!<"
"Be....quiet....Antwaun..." The girl moaned, placing a hand on her head.
Groaning again the girl's eyes would open lazily...then burst wide as she caught sight of Nakano. There was a crazed look in that gaze.
"Potato...." The girl muttered as she looked directly at Nakano "POTATO!" She lunged...and immediately tripped. Even in their best condition the teen's shoes were not made for such a maneuver. "Antwaun! Get the Potato! Don't let the roast quail stop you!" The girl half shouted, half groaned as she lay there face first in the dirt.
">Aye Aye Captain!<" The Volbeat declared with a sloppy salute. Either he didn't care what he was actually facing, or he'd become just as crazed as his master.
