"The only name i had is the one i gave the people, they need a name to go with a face" The man said with a shrug "i gave them one, Jack Runner, nice to meet ya." he said before it donged on him "ah yea...iv seen you around the school, what was it...a teacher? nah...you look higher up....the VC?" he asked with a chuckle "maybe if i kill you here...i can on your form and bring a little more...reality to that school, what do you think?" he asked slowly moving tword him.

 Len pulled back. There was no way he could die here and now. He had his children and students to think about. He had Ren too. He would never die because of her love. Though he knew that he would go to hell because of his powers and she would return to heaven. "You'll have to kill me first." The man said pulling his wand to his front to remind the other man that he had a wand between them that would have to be cleared first.

Jack Runner "Death isn't overrated...see for yourself." Jack stopped as Len put his wand between them "that can be arranged." He said as he closed his eyes as a red glow began to emulate around his arms, suddenly 2 red glowing double ended scythes appeared hovering in the air around him, they didnt seem real, by that, they seemed to be made out of energy. "Well Mr. VC, say your prayers" Jack said crossing his arms as he turned back and slowly began walking back to the book as the scythes suddenly began to spin wildly before rushing at Len.

Len was just not a teacher he was also theorist and he knew that with energy it could only be fought with energy and being a wizard he had that. The man didn't even flinch as a magical force field appeared around him. It was clear that the wand was more of a prop than anything. He didn't even wave his arm. This man needed no wand to control his powers. He was high level wizard.

Jack Runner "Death isn't overrated...see for yourself." "...." when jack didn't hear the scythes pierce the man, he turned, and was surprised that his scythes were being blocked by a barrier "ho?" he grunted turning around "no incantation, no words, and unless hes faster then my magic, no use of that wand?" he thought "humph, not to bad" he said as the scythes slashed into the ground in front and behind them as close as the barriers would let them "hmmm...first lets analyze how strong that barrier is" he thought as the scythes began to glow red "bombs away" suddenly the scythes exploded into a small yet heavily dense explosion, he still had his arms crossed, waiting to see if the barrier held.

Len barrier was strong, but because of the magic the island had there was no way for his barrier to pierce the earth. Bomb could get him from the ground for sure. The man dropped the barrier and jumped in the air. He didn't need a broom to fly. That was another feature of strong he was.

Jack Runner "Death isn't overrated...see for yourself." Jack watched as Len flew into the air and put his hands on his hips "my my...your nerdy appearance led me to think this would be easy, and here you are making it difficult for me" he said as he calmly picked up the book and began to walk into the air, almost like he was walking on steps before he stopped at the same altitude as Len "so Mr. VC, why dont you run away hmm?" he asked as he held out the book "i was innocently doing some....reading before u came to interrupt me" he said in a teasing manner.

Len knew there was no point in keeping his wand out. They both knew he could do stronger things without it. A barrier was no use in the sky. While it could protect him from an attack, it would fly with the wind. "Never judge someone by their looks, they may be the friend that you need." The man said like a teacher would. "Also as the protector of the island it is my duty to know who is here." He added.

"your the protector of this island...well... i have a question" Jack asked "when i burn down this entire island, will you still protect it?" he asked "friends? my oh my, you really are a nerd" he taunted before reaching behind him, chuckling softly. ((so outta curiosity does the island have some sort of magic that prevents it from being damaged?))

"A protector does not stand alone." Len answered with a smirk. "Maya Angelou has said that 'Children's talent to endure stems from their ignorance of alternatives.' Remember there are other teachers here an students that will protect the island. I'm just the first line of defense." The man responded to the other. He pulled off his work coat and dropped it. There was no point in wearing it if it got in his way. "There are much more powerful creatures then me. Some of them dark and ancient, some fresh and young, but you'll never get to fight them." ((Yes the island has it's own magic, but it's not a predictable magic and it's also a powerful magic))

Jack couldnt help but laughing "im not not worried, believe me...not with this anyway." he said glancing down the the book "history can be a very powerful tool." he said as he pulled something out, it appeared to just be a engraved piece of wood, shaped like a gun though it had no barrel, not place to put bullets, nothing like that. "Its been awhile since i'v used this." he said. (so basically the only thing u might be able to destory are trees..)

Len wasn't going to trust the think that he had seen being pulled out. He was going to be on his guard. "By the way, I was a football player in high school. Not so much a nerd." The man added as he watched Jack. He was on guard and going to be ready for anything. ((Yup))

"lose the glasses then we will talk about what is and is not a nerd" he said still staring at the strange piece of wood before looking at Len "you seem high strung, something the matter?" he asked as he chuckled "your too far away..." Suddenly Jack was much closer to Len, Len hadnt taken his eyes off Jack, he was just sorta...there in a split second" he then suddenly aimed the gun shaped piece of wood at Len, clearly getting red for something. (yikes ill have to change my battle style a bit then ^.^'')

Len moved. He needed to be back a bit to use the force field he had properly. It only covered his front side. The down side is that it didn't allow him to use his powers while using it. That was a different type of energy that he needed to use and only his son could use two different types at once. This form was also slower than the other on. "But then I wont be able to see you when you're defeated." Len joked about his glasses.

Jack Runner "Death isn't overrated...see for yourself." "think so?" Jack asked as suddenly without warning a beam of red energy shot from the end of the wood and smashed hard into the barrier, creating a small explosion. He put the gun on his shoulder as he waited to see the results.
