Sammy spread her arms wide hip popped to the side the perfect image of cocky confidence. "Sorry Thackery. We wanted to make it a big surprise. And ahhh it worked I think." She poked her stomach, "Don't worry though, hardly felt a thing, well a little bit but like I said, pumpkin pills do wonders."

Mot returned the high five wearily, but snapped back into a semi-sturdy state after ward. Right. Time to get back in the saddle! He nodded to Sammy from his curled up pose, and rose up into a sitting position. Hel and Chuppi were coming backstage. Narrator - MotMot stood up, brushing himself off, and stepped out to the stage after the lights faded. He took center stage where a spot light waited for him, squinting slightly at the sudden light in his eyes. "And so, The Cracker of Nuts, the Prince, was released from his curse; turning from a wooden doll into his true form. He took Cloodia back to his home, The Kingdom of the Dolls for a celebration of their victory over the Rat King. Awaiting them was the Sugar Pumpkin Fairy..."The reaper stepped off the stage, his spurs clicking as they always did. The lights came back on, the stage ninjas having switched the scene to that of the Land of the Dolls. haliekins Be a fruity lovely fairy!

((Proxy Posting for Ice! Excuse me if I mess up OTL)) MUSIC/THE PITDanny hummed softly along with the songs that she had practice so hard. As the Sugar Pumpkin song came on she couldn't help but sneak a look at Rikki. He was working so hard! Their practice time (however slim they'd had) was really paying off. Danny did have to kick a gnome through it.
She couldn't help but grimace through the Crushin' Dance. She had messed it up so badly. No one could notice that, right? Uhhh ... just focus on Roch's beautiful playing!
Danny purposely scowled through the Waltz of the Snowflakes. Reasoning should be obvious.

Sugar Pumpkin Fairy - Tsetsiliya
Tsetsiliya had been busy frowning worriedly over Charlie when her cue had been announced. The jingle of Mot's spurs as he crossed the stage alerted her, and she immediately straightened up. She was on? It was time? Oh Jack.
A million questions ran through her head as she hustled back towards the curtain (after a momentary nod of apology to Xiu and Charlie). Was there time to shift? She patted herself down hurriedly. No time! Just as the cowboil reappeared behind the curtain, she slipped past him and onto the stage, the Sugar Pumpkin Fairy's theme (lovingly remixed by Roch) playing her on.
And momentarily froze in the glare of the stagelights.
Oh Jack, why had she done this? Oh Jack, oh Jack, oh Jack, oh Jack --
No. No, no, no.
Do not be an idiot, she chided herself. She couldn't mess up what everybody had worked so hard for. This was a time to be brave, be confident! She could do this. So with a nervous smile, she elevated her arms and began her entrance dance. Quite honestly she felt much more comfortable in this form; the dancing felt less laborious (then again, she wasn't struggling to maintain a form now). She stumbled at one point but made a swift recovery, pausing for a moment to hold her smile and nod graciously at the audience before moving towards center stage, towards Temes and Hel once they had reentered. When her music had finished playing, she stopped before them, clasping her hands together.
"Our prince," she said sweetly (and perhaps a bit too loudly, Jack her nerves), extending a hand to touch the side of Hel's face affectionately. Tsetsiliya's skin was prickled with nervous goosebumps, but she marched on through her lines diligently. If anything, she was a master of repetition. "We have spent many a night waiting for you to return to us, watching the darkness for the glow of your eyes and the gleam of your sword--" She stopped, amending hurriedly, "-- er, spear." She made a sweeping motion with her arm towards her court (consisting of the few cast dancers and many a gnome in ramshackle costuming), turning towards the audience to finish out the grand gesture. Finally, she turned towards Temes, and gave her a smile that was more genuinely concerned than it likely should have been. It might have looked mothering to the audience, but the poludnica could not be sure.
"And Cloodia. Dearest little Cloodia, you have saved our beloved Prince." Her hands pressed together over her heart. "And for that, the Kingdom of Dolls is eternally grateful." She paused awkwardly for a beat, and then recalled just what the dancer had done in the performance she had studied so hard for this one - she reached both arms down to secure Temes' shoulders in a gentle embrace, taking care not to hug too tightly because of her quills. The ghoul straightened up and indicated the two youths before her when turning to her court with a rallying cry. "A heroine for all of Halloween!"
With that finished, she offered each a hand and led them towards the fairy's throne and guest chairs at the back portion of center stage. She was less than delighted to see the gnomes had made some, er, rather interesting touch-ups to her throne. They had gone pretty crazy with the glitter glue, hadn't they? The patterning in some parts was also rather.. er, questionable, but hopefully the audience couldn't see some of the rather rude shapes visible in the glitter glue mess. Perhaps she should have had better foresight in using something less expensive than some of her favorite sashes. Regardless, she reached for the item sitting across the arm rests - the fairy's wand (really just a redecorated conductor's stick) - and returned her gaze to the audience as soon as the couple has taken their seat.
"And you are deserving, dear Prince and Cloodia, of such a celebration as has not been seen in the Land of Dolls in our time!" She clapped her hands together once, and waved towards the first dancers, the fallen angels, in the wings so that the celebration dances could begin with the musical cue. Plopping into her seat, Tsetsiliya let out a long, shaky sigh behind slightly parted lips. She had sat down rather fast, but only because her knees were quaking so badly.

AUDIENCEOn his way back to his seat, Sparrow had snagged Jove, dragging the pup gently but firmly with him. It was clear that Wren would not be joining him - a depressing thought - and he could certainly use the company, especially from someone whom he had not seen in quite some time. It felt like ages since he had last spoken to the younger boil.
"How are you, Jove?" Sparrow whispered as they took their seats again, Sparrow slipping into the one closest by the aisle.
The play, however, soon took his attention quite a bit.
First there was the yelling (Sparrow had no idea who started it). And then some more yelling (even more clueless about this), some strange stomachaches (he could not figure out why he had a sudden bout of nausea overtake him, though it seemed to pass rather quickly...), a song from Hel that made all of them sort of lapse into this sad sort of trance, and then, once the professor had demanded their quiet, the first act had managed to go on, sliding into the second easily.
Just as easy as the spear that Hel had thrust into Sammy.
Sparrow stared blankly at it for several seconds, blinking in his seat, then sighed, leaning down to whisper to Jove beside him.
"I think this play is a bit...er...extra exciting, don't you think?"

AudienceThis ghoul was touchy. Why was she so touchy? Again she had laid her hand on his knee, her fingers seeming to fit in the exact same place they had before. This time he didn't flinch away, what was the use? She'd probably crush his damn knee and he'd be limping for weeks. Hell he'd be limping now. The demon watched with mild disinterest as the play continued hoping it was going to wrap up soon. He had a feeling the only interesting part had passed. Though when he heard a ghoul's voice behind him that wicked smile returned to his face. Oh dear, another victim. " Sure, screech heart," He nearly cooed but instead of moving out of the way Titus moved from his slouching position to sit up a bit more blocking most if not all of Astra's view of the stage. Never not making an a** of himself.

AudienceWhy was Shun not panicking? Wasn't there cause to panic? Hel had just run someone through and...and .....Mitsu looked around. She seemed to be the only one phased other than those onstage. W..was it just really good acting? It seemed so real. A little shakily she sat back in her seat finally looking over to see the damage she had done to the armrest. Releasing it the poor bits of plastic and metal fell to the floor completely destroyed.....whoops. Maybe no one would notice.

Backstage - Actor
A quick glance out at the audience proved that nobody really seemed too bothered by the unexpected attack-and-injury combination, which helped calm Thackery a bit. The last thing he wanted was to have everyone all upset over a trick. A very good trick, but still a trick.
He considered going back to browsing through the sale papers and circling nice things with his fakeup, but decided that he owed it to the other performers to watch the rest of the play.
Shoving a gnome away angrily, he kneeled down to watch the action from the sidelines. It was such a nice story, really. How romantic, for the Prince to sweep Cloodia off of her feet like that...
He sighed happily, putting his chin into his hands in a show of the most stereotypical daydreaming pose in existence.

"Thankyou-" Astra began, but stopped when she realized that he had just made it almost impossible to see what was happening. He totally did that on purpose, she was sure of it! Frowning, she pondered her situation, and how she was gonna deal with this boil. It didn't take long for her to come up with a plan. Looking at the back of her seat, the fairy ghoul sized it up and, with a nod to herself, she hopped onto the edge of it, effectively sitting on the top of the seat. It was a little uncomfortable to sit on, but she could manage. At least she had good balance, so falling off wouldn't be a issue. She smiled, positioned herself, and continued to watch the show.

AudienceWell, that was rather nice of the wrath demon. Giving the gnome its freedom without some sort of snarky attitude to accompany it. He hadn't flung the gnome back at the stage; the ghoul had nearly thought he would have. Instead, the gnome was just placed back on its feet to walk away. But not before offering Levi a wink and leer (did it also just thank West?). Wha-!?! The little critter was gone before she could even get a full word out, jogging out the exit to freedom. WAS that the one?! The gnome that bothered Xiu? She just blinked between blank staring down at the space where the gnome once was, still trying to make sense of that expression it gave her. Until West spoke up and she returned to the scene. So yer sayin' ya' trust everyone 'ere 'nuff ta sleep? Mighty ... trustin' of ya. Sure there ain't no fakes 'round, huh? She hadn't considered this herself till it came out, really. Levi gave West a long look then. No, he had to be real because of the nose pinch; thing would've broken off otherwise the way she'd held it so- that was cleared. Oh- something else in the play now. One thing Levi could pick up on was dancing and she watched their feet move with some enthusiasm. No interest, eh, boil? She eased back into her chair, allowing her tail to curl over the back of her seat, swaying. Don't tell me ya don't respect how quick they're movin'...The ghoul smirked a toothy grin. ... n'less yer thinkin' "I'kud'do'better >:[" Indeed, the tatzel with the thick country hick accent attempted to mimic the wrath demon's own bastardized speech playfully. It was considerably difficult for her to do; who talks like this all the time?

Ulmuka had flown into the lighting and perched after his role had concluded. He'd watched the fight scenes with rapt interest and was glad to see the audience was behaving. Somewhere in his head he convinced himself he needed to socialize. Make new friends! Congratulate those who had done well!
The strix dropped down with a flap of wings and was once again in his humanoid form. He grinned and gave everyone thumbs up. The play was going great now that the unsavory elements had left the show!

Zar - Fallen Angel
Zar realised almost immediately, now he was actually paying some degree of attention, that his cue was up right now, he wished he could have put it off just a bit longer but it looked like he was stuck with this, that he'd just have to swallow his terror and get on with it, heartened at the very least by Riyo's advice. "I'll erm.. be right back." he stammered, nerves really starting to jangle as he got to his hooves, feeling as if the weight of the world was on his shoulders as he did so.
Before he knew it he was at the side of the stage, looking out on the milling features of students, some he recognised, some he did not. It was almost overwhelming and for a moment he felt the same queasy sensation he'd felt at the sickening scream earlier. Fight or flight kicked in, there was nothing to fight. He wanted to run away, he was backed into a corner. Terror, pure and utter terror. he was underdressed he was out of his depth..and then.
It was like something in his head went ping, some key spring temporarily vacating the clockwork of thought.
It was like he shrugged that weight, and the rest of the world off. Rolling his shoulders back as he closed his eyes, all focus. He was no longer in front of an audience, but instead all the world was his office, there was simply tasks that needed doing reguardless. And he was good at tasks. Something subtle but unmistakable changed in his normally withdrawn and cowardly posture as he positively strolled out onto the stage, tail licking at his heels in a feral little fashion.
The music called out to some lurking instinct in his beauraucratic soul, he hailed from a long line of lust focused incubi and succubi, who had merely..redirected their attentions towards more office based tasks, and for some reason the combination of nerves, chaos and many eyes simply added up to shake the long piled dust from Zar's innermost self.
And as the music cue swelled into the intro to his entrance, he actually found himself carried with it, wings held arched over his back, the false feathers splayed intermittently with his own, his hair, no longer tied back, positively flowing the same way as the silken robe as he light footedly began.
He had no idea where the dance came from, simply that he couldn't think about it or he knew he would falter, simply letting himself be swept along with it, surprisingly graceful and fluid as he went through the motions of what he felt was a suitable routine, his wings and tail merely adding accent to the sweeps of the flowing robe he wore. He was utterly oblivious to everything, even some of the ever "helpful" gnomes who joined him. He even dared a pirrouette. showing off just how good Christof and Barth's handiwork was in the form of his lime green but very functional little hoof-pad boots, not slipping at all as he completed the motion, scattering feathers and tiny bits of paper in his wake in an almost hilariously dramatic motion.
And then the moment was over as he came to a halt as the segment of the music dedicated to the fallen angels came to a close, and once again he was Zar the awkward, self concious paperwork fiend all over again, cringing almost apologetically in a "I really don't know what came over me" gesture as he headed to his point on the stage to get a look at the following congratulatory dancers, still trying to figure out what the hell even just came over him and catch his breath.

Actor - SnowflakesSo there were a few hitches here and there. The frost demon just had to follow Roch's cues and play her parts nicely. Edel looked on gingerly at the crowd and the stage when the trouble started, but a good No U from Mr Rengath was all it took to set things back right again. That's a relief, she thought. Act two flew by and Act three came. The frost demon had to relinquish the rest of the violin parts to the gnome, exit he pits and get changed. The ghoul was in the midst of quickly applying the make up when two - one very seriously drunk - gnomes barged into the dressing room. Now what? "Ghouly there isn't enough to go around." "Yea, that snot head just downed the other bucket you were done with. Thought it was shaved ice or sommat so he used it to chill the cider and I don't know what else he does with it." "Ghouly it's almost your cue, whadda we do?" The frost demon was dressed in a rather feathery looking white dress, staring down at the two gnomes as they updated her on the snowflake crisis. The ghoul gave the two an exasperated look which pretty much read: didn't I tell you two to get ready for this while I was busy with the music? Well, there was no time for that now. Summoning her FEAR to her fingertips, the frost demon quickly formed a large block of ice. Edel then picked up a chainsaw - you know, the type used for ice sculpting - and switched it on, allowing it to roar threateningly. Without so much as a bat of the eyelid, the ghoul swung it down on them the block of ice, halving it and creating a fair amount of ice shrapnels in the process. Switching the chainsaw off and allowing it to power down, the ghoul unceremoniously chucked the very dangerous equipment at them. "You know what to do. The giant fans are over there so no more excuses for not getting things done. I'll be doing my part when I get on stage to dance..." The ghoul paused to stare at the two gnomes who were starting to giggle amongst themselves. It couldn't be good, whatever it was about. Was it because the dress she was wearing was so short? Edel glared at the two of them piercingly, yet couldn't quite keep the serious look on her face while trying hard not to blush. "Keep your eyes to yourselves or the backstage security will get at you," she threatened, cocking her head to the direction of G and the rest of the ghoul protection squad. Her cue finally came and the frost demon moved to get into position, keeping her gaze on those two. "Get moving," she mouthed, and then she turned her head around and plastered on a winning smile. Onto the stage she pranced, twirling and jumping and making sure she was not sloppy with those extensions. Snowflakes danced around her and before she began to panic, ice flakes were blown onto the stage after a loud cranking noise indicating the start up of a generator. It was a tiring process, to dance AND produce snow but hey, this was it wasn't it? This show had to go on, and be the best it could be. For the school and everybody. By the time her dance ended, the stage was covered in snow. Half-melted snow. It was a great lubricant. Whoever was coming on next had better watch out.

Actor - Candy Court DancerIt was his cue and Charlie was still on his knees in the back. A gnome had to unkindly punt the small pink haired demon out on to the very slippery stage. The music began, but Charlie just stood there a moment. It took him a moment to process just what was going on. And then he started to dance very not gracefully thanks to the slippery stage. He slid this way and that way and then finally fell face first. "BAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH...." The demon threw up on the front row. Yeah. He wasn't feeling well from earlier still. But the show had to go on! And it did! But very slippery! Finally the demon fell on his a** and slid off stage. His performance was a total bust. The stage was open for the next act.
