Sera was enjoying herself, despite some of these really weird songs the DJ was playing - she made a mental note to fix that later - even if Rosie was busy with other people. People she was hardly paying any attention to, so the mention of impersonators and foolish things like that didn't reach her ears at all. Or if any of it did, it went in one and right out the other. What she did notice, however, upon finishing another spin, was Dani. Dani dancing with a guy. A cute guy. Actually, he looked like he could be sort of old. But still. Dani found one first and that was absolutely unacceptable.
With a huff she turned around to go hunting looking for cute boys, but paused. A lot of pokemon were out, and she couldn't help but think Anastasia would have fun being out too. Isabella was still too young, and Jacques would cause too much trouble. Mordecai was-- well, not that he had hands he was much more useful. With that in mind, the spoiled teen released both pokemon, then knelt down briefly to stroke Anya's head. "Go have fun Anya, okay?" She told her beloved dark-type, who trilled happily in response before trotting off to find Rosie's pokemon. "Mordecai, go get me some punch and then come find me." That done, she turned and danced off into the crowd. Let the fun begin...
(Punch bowl club)
Mordecai whirred happily before he hovered over to the punch table. He was about to grab a cup to fill for Sera when he spotted Miss Izumi! He happily floated down, waving at the blue-haired angel eagerly. "Meta! Metang!"

the twins repeated in unison. They looked at one another.
we tools, Kururi?> Mairu asked her older sister.
The darker Purrloin shook her head.
by being useful?>
After Umbreon had made the consequences of what happened to disobedient pokemon quite clear, the feline girls contemplated his point. Yes, that was true; neither twin wanted to be stuffed into a storage box or experimented on. They might not ever see each other again. As far as some of the other things, though, there was disagreement. To them, they were just pokemon. How could they cause the entire downfall of Team Rocket? And, if they really were just 'tools' as Umbreon said they were, then how would it be their fault?
When people and police started pointing fingers, it was usually at other people - not their pokemon. As Purrloin, they figured they were too cute and innocent-looking to be hated, even if Umbreon believed they had reason to be. The girls really couldn't see how they had anything to worry about, so long as they did what they were told when they were really needed. Right now, though, so far as they could see, no one needed them to do anything. They hadn't even played any pranks on anyone yet! What was Umbreon so worried about?
)...too much (excessive)...human (with Faleen),> Kururi told Umbreon.
sound like one of them,> Mairu added, looking at the eeveeloution with an almost concerned grin. pokemon. If we're not tools in Team Rockets hands, then someone else will want to use us, right? And what are the Galactics?>
don't want)...dead (killed),> Kururi cut in, looking distressed as Umbreon stated something about wanting Galactics - presumably other people or pokemon - dead. How long had this pokemon been a part of Team Rocket? Was he always so blood-thirsty? Neither twin had taken him to be that sort.
Of course, neither really knew what he had been through during all his time as Faleen's pokemon, either. And, though all they really wanted was just for Izaya to like them, they would have never admitted it to anyone.
the younger twin argued, smiling again as they continued to follow Umbreon. It was a somewhat more unsettling smile this time, though, as if it were made of mischief.
Luxury rolled her eyes, but was unable to stop the words that poured out. "Father left before I knew him, Mother blamed me and abused me, brothers, both of them, beat me on a daily basis, and family in general doesn't exist in my world." Why on earth did she tell him this?
She allowed the boy to haul her up, and followed without protest to the table. Sitting sounded like a good idea, her ankle hurt. Mumbling about a stupid skateboard she rubbed it, then looked up at Shadow. "I'm sorry. I'm not... I'm not a party kind of girl. Or a dancing kind of girl. Or a social kind of girl..." Her voice dropped in volume as she went on. "Thanks for bothering with me. Maybe after I rest my ankle we can dance again?" She knew she needed to be nice, there was no point in being grouchy all the time.

Shadow, who had not been expecting such a detailed and devestating confession from this girl he'd just met, could only stare in silence for some time, contemplating what her words meant. He tried to picture what her life might have been like, but as he hadn't had his own parents around for very long, it was difficult. He didn't know what it was like to have any sort of family, let alone an abusive one.
"That's..." he began, searching for words. "Damn, that sucks, Luxury. I'm really sorry. Life can be a b***h sometimes..."
At her apology, he shook his head. "I'm not a party person either. Don't worry about it. We don't dance, we don't party. Sounds like we're birds of a feather." He didn't mention he was a lonesome sort who kept mostly to himself, too. Mentally, though, he noted that as another thing they had in common.
"Don't say that," he told her at her thanks. "You're not a bother at all. I'm the one who came up to you and made you drop your drink, remember?" He shook his helmeted head. "Don't worry about the dance. We've done enough for tonight, I think. Are you...thirsty, maybe? I wonder if I can head to the table now without knocking things ov- "
Hey, what was that? A Golbat with a soda can? And a pink one, no less. "Dude, what're you doing with that thing?" he asked the poison and flying type. "You're going to get a numb mouth that way. Need someone to open it for you?" He glanced at Luxury. "This guy yours?

She smirked at his conclusion of her life. 'Sucks' put it nicely. Though... There was something in his voice, something that made her think that she wasn't the only one in a crap hole of life. Suddenly she didn't feel so sad or alone.
Quickly, the grunt shook her head at his drink offer. "I'd be willing to bet the punch bowl... has been... spiked?" What on earth?! She nearly fell over laughing at the poor pokemon who was desperately looking for help. "No, no he's not mine!" Luxury choked out. "Though he seems to like coke as much as I do!"
Holding out her hand, still laughing, she offered to take the can for the Golbat. "If I open that for you, could you bring me one?"

(Claire, Punch bowl peeps)
Eyebrows arched a little when Claire said that she could fix the wings if she wanted to, Faleen laced her fingers together over the handle of her cane, considering the question for a short moment before she nodded. "If you wouldn't mind, I'm sure it won't take me very long."
She stepped over to the closest table, placing her cane up against the edge and while waiting for Claire, reached into one of the pouches she had around her belt, digging out her leatherman. and shifting through the different tools. "I'll be able to make it last longer."

(Purrlion twins)
They took this lightly, and he couldn't be surprised. they had the air that Zorua had when she first joined, even now she was still pretty cocky, yet she had never been on a Rocket mission before either.
He could tell that while the twins were listening to him, they were not hearing him. The comment about him being like one of them, and that he spent to much time with Faleen drew a soft growl from the Umbreon. He answered simply. It was insulting for him to consider anything else. Faleen had made him, he was hers, period!
It surprised him a little though, when they asked who Galatic was, and he turned his surprised look at them as he drew closer to where Faleen was standing. were they really that sheltered, Izaya kept that away THAT much?!

(Dith)
The moment of what seemed to be an unusually amount of talking for the gangster had passed, and the silence of Jerome's listening had returned. The stuff coming from the larger man's mouth gave the impression of utter bullshit, At least this was the initial thought that ran through Jerome's head, inspired mostly becasue of the kind of life he had lived up till the end of his street gangster days... and in comparison that wasn't exactly a long time ago.
Jerome was able to set that feeling of doubt aside though, and considering this dude cared enough to pull Jerome aside, and tell off a hardened gangster like the papa bear he seemed to be earned enough respect in Jerome's eyes. This was the kind of person that Izumi needed to be around.
"You do that." Jerome said, with a nod. shifting his stance, as if getting ready to step away. "M'glad she's got your little posy with her."
it was a relife to step away from Dith, the Large man meant well, but he was still really intimidating... and Jerome couldn't help but feel the weight of guilt... maybe he was mostly scared that their poking at Rocket might reveal a truth he had been keeping from everyone, including Izumi.

(Anyone nearish the drinks)
Dith watched the tattooed man walk away in silence for a moment before giving a heavy sigh and shaking his head. Jerome was all too right for his liking, about what they were planning that was. There was little choice in his mind though; something had to be done, and if they were the only people willing to do it then that was that. Anyway all of them were old enough to understand the choices they were making, with the exception of Citrine that was and he didn’t even want to start thinking about her. The fact that he’d done things just as dangerous when he was only a couple of years older than her was neither here nor there; he hadn’t understood at the beginning and he shouldn’t have had to come to understand, and Citrine shouldn’t have to either. Not yet.
Giving another sigh Dith shoved the bear hat into his hoody pocket and headed over to the drinks table, feeling in need of something potent. Spiked punch just wouldn’t cut it and there was a rather large crowd around the bowl anyway so he didn’t even bother with trying to get close, nor did he notice Izumi – and certain other people he would recognise – standing beside it. “Is there nothing decent to drink around here?” he muttered to nobody in particular as he studied the various cans and bottles. Much as he hated to be a stereotype a large vodka or three would go down rather nicely just now.

Mairu responded, slightly intimidated by Umbreon's conviction. What had they done with the pokemon to make him so loyal? Then again, he probably wasn't an Umbreon for no reason. Didn't they evolve from loving their trainers...?
The girls stared at him blankly. No, they hadn't heard of Team Galactic. What Izaya had discovered about the Rockets' rival team he kept mostly to himself, and the last raid involving the Galactics had occured before the Purrloin twins had been given to him. They were clueless. It didn't really help that their grunt trainer had yet to have any encounter with Team Galactic, either.
the lighter purrloin asked, suddenly sounding filled with excitement.
<...> Kururi remained silent. She was still thinking about what Umbreon had said about wanting Galactics dead. Did he really want them to die? Furthermore, did they really want Rockets to die?
Xander shot Frost an amused look at the wave and more questions then turned back to Izaya. He raised an eyebrow at the other man at the question on whether Frost was flirting or not. "No, he's not flirting. It may seem like it to some but trust me, that's not his flirting." No, Frost was more subtle and quiet about his flirting, haven proving time and time again that he preferred doing it when no one else was around as his private nature called for. "And don't feed me that bit about everything being fine. You and I both know I wouldn't be fooled. The party has been great for me but what about you?" Xander was fully prepared to make Izaya spill if need be.
He was derailed slightly when the woman that Frost was talking to spoke up and greeted Izaya. Any surprise to that fact was turned into amusement when his friend put on a show about being the Human Lover then hide behind him. He was so distracted by this in fact that he didn't notice the Metang or Dith.

(Asch, Presea, Izaya)
Shizuo narrowed his eyes at the list of the mans actions. He had his suspicions as to who it was seeing as the twins were here. "Tell me, does the guy have black hair, red eyes and seem confident that he could get anything he wanted?" The 'blond' asked before looking around as if to look for the same man he described. He noticed that Presea moved and nodded to her. Luckily for Izaya, Shizuo couldn't see him at the moment. He looked back at Asch when the man stepped out of the dressing room.

(Luke, Rosie, dance floor)
At first when Luke started to claim that he just got here, Natalia couldn't believe it. When he started to say something about an impersonator her disbelieve grew. "Luke, there is no way that was an impersonator! For one thing I like to think I know you well enough to see through one and another I was recognized by name. I'm not that well known over here." Even as she said that though, she had doubts. The first Luke did seem different after all. But at the same time there was something so Luke about them...

(Punchbowl)
He had been about to enthuse some more, to ask about power sources and maintenance but then she said that name. The spark went out of the blond's eyes like the sun vanishing behind a cloud and when he turned around to face the information broker he was once again cold, implacable, inscrutable Frost. Xander was talking to the worm, offering him some kind of reassurance? He hadn't heard the whelp ask for it, and even if he had asked Xander shouldn't give it.
"You are acquainted with this man then?" Frost asked rhetorically of Izumi, running his eyes slowly up and down Izaya's skinny form before adding; "Nice costume," giving no hint in inflection, gaze, or posture as to whether this was sarcasm or not. He presumed that Izaya could guess though, it was fairly sure that the grunt was aware that he had a low opinion of him. He didn't know the full story though. Oh no. He wouldn't know that until it was very much too late. Insulated wire would do fine for restraints; strong and flexible, but unlike bare wire it wouldn't slice into his flesh and allow him to expire from blood loss before due time.

(Izaya, Mordecai, Frost, Faleen, Punch)
"Human... Lover?" That was a strange super hero... "A-alright... Oh- Yes, Iz-Human Lover is my friend." It didn't take much to get to be considered Izumi's friend, and since Izaya had found and returned Wheatley to her, he had been automatically added to that list. Izumi hadn't noticed Frost's change in demeanor, and she was kept from noticing when a familiar black steel type found her. "Mordecai!" The girl smiled and hugged the now larger steel type, obviously not having expected that Sera would let the pokemon out.
There were so many people around, and another one was addressing her, a blond woman, who claimed to have met her. "Um-" She started, with her arms still around the pokemon. "I-I'm sorry, I don't remember... i-it was a while a-ago... and.. I-I'm sorry..."
-----
"Jerome! Hi!" She took one of the drinks Mordecai offered with a grin and pat the metal pokemon before it floated off. "I'm sorry, the table was more crowded than I thought it'd be..." Izumi smiled a little, "I wonder where Izaya is running off to..." She followed with her eyes, and noticed Shizuo walking in the crowd.

Nakura sighed. He should have known better than to think Xander would have fallen for that trap. He didn't even seem offended by Izaya's proclaimed assumption. What did those two had that made them so confident in one another? He couldn't shake them. It was getting more and more difficult to even make Xander wonder. The grunt didn't even want to try persuading Frost of anything. Where was the fun in a relationship you couldn't poke or prod at?
Damn it, he'd had hoped Xander would have at least forgotten his question with the topic change. Even that had been too much to hope for, though, it seemed. Wore yet, the teen continued to read him. The hero turned and shot Xander a very venomous look that seemed to warn him, 'don't go there'.
It was enough that the tall blonde knew something was wrong without him saying anything. Izaya wasn't about to just spill his guts. Xander cared too much as it was. "You worry too much. Go tend to your boyfriend before he turns straight," he jeered, giving Xander a little nudge in Frost's direction.
Said boyfriend, unfortunately, was already regarding the grunt with his sharp, frigid, icicle gaze. The superhero resisted the urge to shrink back from it now that he was caught and instead offered the shorter agent an equally cold smile.
"I was just going to say the same about yours. Though I'd really appreciate if you wouldn't scrutinize me like that; it makes me feel all vulnerable and violated," the informant whined, hugging himself. Of course, it was his own fault he was wearing such an exposing costume; one that showed his midriff, chest, and even part of his thighs. The fact that he was male seemed to make his show of skin just barely permissible, but his skinny frame only put off the whole look and made him appear that much less attractive. It didn't take a genius to figure out Frost was being sarcastic.
Despite his mocking request to Frost, Izaya really did feel uneasy with the way the agent had turned to him. It wasn't for the reason he stated, however. Though Orihara had no way of knowing what the Rocket mechanic was imagining as his fate, something about Frost's cold, spark-less eyes upon him hinted at the cruelty the man was capable of. Luckily, he didn't have much time to dwell on it. Izumi's voice had once again caught his attention.
Friend. She'd called him her friend. Even behind Xander, Izaya visibly grimaced. He supposed he should have been pleased that she trusted him enough to call him such, but after all that had happened that night so far, the grunt just didn't have the heart to deal with all of this right now. Sure, he might not have meant much to her in her eyes, but just hearing that word from her was annoying enough. How could she be so dense to believe he was her friend? Was it because he knew Jerome, and she trusted him?
The blue-haired angel was soon distracted by a friendly steel-type pokemon that seemed to know her. Now seemed the perfect time to slip away once more. This was confirmed once crimson eyes caught sight of a massive figure headed towards the refreshments. Dmitry...? What was he doing here? How had Izaya not noticed him before? Perhaps he had been too preoccupied with Shizuo. And Aila, and Asch, and Faleen. It was a large party.
Either way, it was crucial that the giant not recognize them. Thinking fast, Nakura grabbed Xander's wrist. If Frost noticed, he could take it up with him later, but in the meantime, the grunt needed him to be the distraction.
"Ne, Frosty-chan," the Human-Lover called to the wizard. "Why don't you go offer a drink to that fine gentleman there? He looks pretty thirsty." Nodding in Dith's direction, Izaya took off toward the opposite end of the room, Xander in tow, attempting to cut through the dancers on the dance floor as he did so. If he recalled correctly, Frost had mentioned before that Dith had been 'an old aquaintance' of his.
If this was true, then he felt more than certain Frost would be too concerned about the giant to worry about Izaya or where or why he was stealing Xander. Maybe Dith wouldn't have hurt his 'old aquaintance', but they didn't need him suspecting Xander and Nakura any more than he already did.
Lasi had found some helpful people! Hooray! He gave Shadow a very odd look as he asked Luxury if he belonged to her. Why on earth would he go to his trainer to open a sugary drink for him? He suspected all trainers were the same and Tambrey certainly wouldn't have let him have the coke. He was pretty sure she was still somewhat irritated about the cakes and things. Well.. Sugary stuff was just good; it made him have lots of energy for flying and playing around and he was faster than everyone and the best at everything! That was sugar power! So clearly he needed this coke and... where were these thoughts supposed to be leading again? Oh, who cared, he had people to open the can now! He thrust the can out toward Luxury as she offered to take it and then! Amazing happened! He was being given -another- mission! "GUH!" He confirmed joyfully, before zipping off to get Luxury her can too. Wouldn't Tambrey be /pleased/ that he'd not only completed /her/ challenge but he was being helpful in other missions! He truly was the best on sugar power! Right. Negotiate this giant bear-man, get can, return to the two nice people with his can!
