"Know your enemy?" Julian repeated lowly before looking to Sin, then a glance at Alcie when she spoke. They were the only ones he knew here.

"M-Makes me less incline t-to talk anymore, how ab-bout you?" He made sure not to say either of the ghouls' names when he glanced between them, directing his question to them. He started a mantra in his head, that this was just a game, treat it like a game with his brothers. He'd been captured by a rival family and they were pumping him for information. Give them nothing they could use. No names, no information, no details. Don't tell them you're in school, don't call them teachers, don't let them know you're afraid, don't let them know you're clueless. Be vague, shut up. Much as it was a useless question, the ghost dog (Tybalt) had something of a good idea. Well, maybe it was just a stupid question, but... Okay, so it was a stupid question, but at least it didn't give anything to the hooded figure.

The owl demon's eyes narrowed on the new-comer. He settled his crossed arms on his knees and tilted his head to one side, considering him.

"Th-That isn't polite. You're the ones who put us in cages. What does that make you?"

Sin felt her chest tighten, her heart seemed to pound in her chest as the hooded figure spoke. The hooded cloak, the weapon, and now...'they are possibly the same things that managed to wreck their place'. She had never wrecked anything intentionally, but two places that had ended rather badly were Santa's Workshop and The Island...and these didn't look like jolly elves.

"They're the reapers from the island?" She bit her lip and glanced at Julian. She was afraid now, because these things had managed to kill...and as Alcie could probably confirm...when these things put you down you didn't get back up in the pumpkin patch. As angry as she had been about the island fiasco, she would always be eternally grateful to the staff for saving them. She hoped that the short hooded figure would deny it, that he would say that this was in no way shape or form related to any island ever. Then maybe she wouldn't feel so terrified.

Wait...oh jack, if they didn't know for sure who they were...then she might have just confirmed it. She wrapped her arms tighter around herself wishing she felt...different. Without her natural abilities Sin didn't look or feel as appealing or powerful, she felt hollow inside, FEAR starved.

Tybalt gave Jove a sympathetic look. The idea of being caged and finding no way out was terrifying. Hell, the pup was scared of tag! He could only imagine what this was going to do to him... He only hoped it wouldn't be for long and they could all escape and get away from these reaper look alikes... Them and Sin's group. But how? How could they do that when they couldn't use any of their Fear or natural abilities? He felt weak. Weaker than he had ever felt before! It was uncomfortable like a part of him was missing... and he hated it!

His ears twitched back at the sound of another stranger entering the tent; immediately causing him to freeze.

Was it a 'higher up' or--

"Monsters is it? Looks like we're not the only dumb ones here." He gave a dramatic sigh and shrugged, giving the others a look that said 'they can't even get the species right!'

But geez, another one! Just how many of these strangers were there? Why were they here...? And what did they hope to accomplish by caging--or even killing them all?

"Oh leaving so soon?" He asked the cloaked 'reaper.' "Just when I thought we were starting to get along. Hope we didn't upset you. I mean---I'd just feel sooo bad. Crushed really." He added sarcastically.

((Entering from THIS IS A TRAP. And oh, it was.))

The Fear particles hovered in the air as they floated into a cage, reforming into the heavily injured valkyrie that had just given her life to give Calder even the slimmest of chances at saving Barth.

But when she looked up and realized she was in a cage, the only thing she could do was slap her forehead in defeat. What good was it that she helped them save Barth, if now SHE was captured as well? Wouldn't that mean they'd now have to come try to save her?

Or, perhaps she was wrong. Perhaps Freya was no Barth. Perhaps they would just let her rot.

She couldn't decide which fate she feared more.

She crawled closer to the bars, keeping herself from touching them, and stared up at the other captured students. There seemed to be more, this time, didn't there? She couldn't be sure - the last time she was in this room, all she could see was Lattice.

A quick scan let her breathe as she found no trace of the engraver in the cages this time around. No, it was just her, and a bunch of strangers.

Maybe someone would come for her. Maybe they wouldn't. Freya couldn't decide if it mattered, anymore.

"Tybalt," said Ren, in a toneless voice, as he folded his wings around his body like a brown cocoon. "Kindly do me a favor -

"Shut. Up."

He found - at least right now - that he would not really care if Tybalt was walloped across the head by the little cloaked figure; the black dog would certainly deserve it, for the way he was acting. However, if it came down to it, Ren couldn't really deny that he would do anything and everything in his power to defend him either - no matter how he looked at it, he had made a pact to protect and stand by his teammates, even if one of those teammates was the obnoxious ghost boil.

There was a clattering noise to his side as Jove - once again - through himself at the bars. The sound of electricity sizzling made Ren wince visibly, turning his head to look at his little brother. He caught his eye, then shook his head - an almost imperceptible movement, as if to say Don't - not now - before giving Gabrian a miserable, disparaging glance, wishing he were anywhere but here.

There were a few more awakening now - two more, to be exact; a ghoul with pale skin and fins protruding from the sides of her face, and a golden eyed, owlish looking boil, neither of whom were familiar to Ren. But he gave them both what he hoped was an encouraging, half smile anyway, though he felt neither reassured nor optimistic at the moment.

The tent flap was pulled back, a dusty, dim light filtering through as someone stepped in. Ren's eyes started at his boots, moving upwards until he could see the boil's face - or what was visible of it, at least, since his eyes and most of his nose were shrouded in the shadows of a hood pulled up over his hair.

And he was missing an arm.

He's not one of us.

That thought, at least, was obvious. Ren's fingers were trembling as he pulled his tail into his lap, his eyes unmoving from the one armed figure.

He's one of them - the ones from the island.

Just thinking of that place made his chest constrict, Ren suddenly finding it very hard to draw breath. He put a hand against his sternum, attempting to calm down, but the panic was welling up in the pit of his stomach like an ugly dark cloud.

He turned his face away.

There was a tiny, barely perceptible flash of light - one of the cages had been filled, a figure beginning to form. Ren's eyes traveled the length of the cage as the FEAR particles melted into a winged ghoul, one that he had never seen before.

"What's your name?" he asked her, though she was several cages down from his. "Are you all right?"

Freya didn't realize the voice was meant for her, but she looked at Ren anyway, though she remained clutching her stomach on the floor. When her sluggish thought process finally registered that she was being asked a question, she flashed him a weak smile.

"Hah, none of us are all rights, friend." Her hoarse voice cracked out. "I am Freya." She flickered her gaze to the bars for a moment, before her eyes refocused on Ren. "And yeh?"

It was almost laughable, making acquaintances at a time like this.

A rather weak and somewhat strained smile graced Ren's pale face - odd, especially when they were in the situation they were in, but the ghoul's reply, combined with the irony of everything, had managed to at least make him crack a smile.

"How very true," he murmured, reaching a hand up to push his long hair away from his face. It felt limp and damp with sweat beneath his fingers, one ear flicking in the direction of the winged ghoul to listen better.

"Ren," he answered her quietly. "My name is Ren. I'm here with my teammates - they're in the cages around you; Gabrian, Coralie, Tybalt, and Jove. And there are a few others here that aren't in my group, but that arrived soon after us."

He gestured towards Sin's cage first, then to Alcie and Julian's.

"What happened?" he asked, looking at Freya, although the question was directed at Sin as well. "Who caught you? Did you see them?"

Freya's slow gaze followed to each student as they were named, and then rested on the cages of the unnamed students. Each was an unfamiliar face, as was to be expected. This was her fault for signing up for a field trip before she had even stepped foot in the school for the first time.

"Nice to meets yeh, Ren. Even if it is on the floors of a dirty cage, bleeding my life out my stomach, hah!" After the outburst of a laugh, she heaved herself up to a half-seated position, lying heavily against the wall. "Nice to meets all of yeh. Sorry it has to be in place like this."

She reached up and ran her fingers through her hair, lamenting the tangles, and loss of her thick braid keeping the hair at bay. "Oh, I saw them all just fine, theys the ones that captured Barth. We were savings him, but, hah, lot of good that did now that I gots captured." She slumped down further, her attitude darkening. "But I thinks I kept them all busy while Calder gots to Barth. I don't knows if they gots free, though."

Sin was loath to grant anymore information out loud with their captors taking notes on them. She bit her lip and glanced at Ren with a shake of her head.

"We didn't see anyone...just walked through a door...everything went black and we woke up here. Guess they couldn't take us in unless it was with trickery, they probably know we'd have beaten the snot out of them in a fair fight."

It soothed her battered ego just a tiny bit to let off some steam, but she was a long way from her relaxed self.

More scribbling on the book, through the awkward silence, before the hooded figure looked up, tilting their head one way and then the other, as if stretching a sore neck cramp. "Aw, don't be like that. I'm not done with you yet, though I will be soon. Just a couple of more notes and-"

- Something shrilled loudly, similar to the sound of a dying cat yowling, or really, the regular sound Demon Cats make prior to their mating rituals. The figure started for a second and then began to pat down their cloak. A few seconds later they emerged victorious with what looked like a teal blue Skellyphone - though a lot more advanced than Halloween models - flipping it open.

"Yes, I'm doing as you said, its just me here and to be frank your backup is kind of lous- no, I told you I'm working - what do you mean more important matters? Look-" A pause. "Yes. I mean yes sir. On my way sir."

The hooded figure, still on the phone, gave the prisoners one more look before suddenly fleeing out of the tent.

Entering from Trap

Barth was back at the Hunter tents, and reassembled in the position he had dissipated in, which meant dropping with a thunk onto the hard cage floor. He was not feeling much better than he did when he came apart.

He covered his mouth with his claw. Could he still feel - only the phantom of Fear, and that, probably in his head.

They were all still back there.

There was nothing he could do about it. Even when he'd had the chance. Nonaction was what he had been lacking in. If only he'd stayed at home. Stayed in the room initially. Stayed with Calder or Christof on the field. Stayed out of the way during the battle. It was the moving and trying that had gotten him in trouble. And he felt drained - so drained and weak. He thought about his thorns, and it was like mentally touching an empty pit.

Freya was back to staring up at the ceiling when Barth appeared in his cage, and she gave him a quick glance before returning her eyes upward. It took a fair few seconds before she realized it was Barth that had just shown up, and the realization had her eyes widening, and her body scrambling to crawl up to the side of her cage, the one that was nearest to the boil.

She reached out, and the bars shocked her painfully. Then she slid her hand carefully between the bars, reaching out to Barth.

"Not fair.." She whispered hoarsely. "Why are you caughts? We came to saves yeh. I died so Calder had a chance to saves yeh.. why are yeh caughts?!?!"

She slumped, and made a horrible sound of distress. "It's not fair.."

"Guess I'm not very good at staying saved," Barth groaned. He reached hesitantly out to her, then withdrew with a flinch of pain.

"We can't stay here. The weapons they were using, they're us. They turn us into weapons. You were there, before. How were the cages opened?"

Toshihiko Two

Julian have been quiet since the last time he spoke. Until he caught what Barth had said.
"They do what?!" he cried, eyes wide as saucers as he stared at the other demon, fear crawling up his spine and causing him to shake. He wrapped his arms around himself and then his wings. No, no it couldn't be true. That couldn't happen, it wouldn't They were just kids, the lot of them. Why would anyone want to... to make them into something? It was... it was beastly! It couldn't be possible, could it? No, no, Barth was mistaken. It wasn't possible, there was no way that could happen.

"No... That c-can't be possible. Are you... You didn't s-see r-right," he stuttered, shivering.

Freya's hand pulled back in and she rested her chin on the floor as close to the bars as she could, and looked up mournfully at Barth. "The tiger ghoul, she founds a card and used it likes a key. It opens all the cages at once."

Weapons? Them? Turning into weapons? There was something that wouldn't connect in her head, wouldn't let her accept it. She did what she would always do with information that traumatized her - she ignored it as if it didn't happen.

But it was still there.

Her hand reached out to pull her hair into her mouth, and she chewed on the ends nervously. Her voice was quieter when she inevitably asked the next question. "Is Herryk coming? Did yeh sees him?"
