Still the walls yielded nothing. He was sure his fate was to mine and find nothing but plain rock, the sugary goodness ever to elude him. Israfel shook the thoughts loose, stepping to the side. No, he would get something for his work. He'd be damned otherwise.

No candlejacking way he'd walk from this with nothing. His outfit was filthy, and if it was to be ruined it would be ruined with purpose. But as his axe came down, it mocked him silently, the echo of rock tumbling to more rock.

Going back to her spot from before Attica started to get right to work on digging. After about 5 minutes of finding nothing she started debating with herself on whether she should move to another spot or not.

She decided to not move from her spot. She was going to stay where she was. She didn't feel like moving further down the mine. She chipped away and whistled trying to think of nothing but good thoughts.

As she was angerily beating the wall two pieces of rock candy flew out. "Thank you Jack." She grabbed up the pieces and stuck them in her pocket with the others and continued to beat on the wall.

Ikki wandered into the junkyard and balked at the brute shouting at her, hiding behind the hologram her collar emitted while she waited for his aggression to pass. She cringed behind the transparent image even afterwards until the collar gave a plaintive little beep before the image shimmered into nothing and exploded into digital bits, the projector not holding up properly. Once she had no shield, the fox peered around in a panic before following the precarious path, eyeing the piles of trash all around before she came to the tunnel, staring at the vagabond again and wondering how he had beaten her here.
... Particularly in a full body cast.
What was this weird creature doing out of a hospital bed, anyways?
She listened to his plea, finding herself sighing and making the leap to dislodge one of the lower lamps from the string they hung from, catching it carefully atop her head so one of the others in the area could attatch it to the cart, ignoring the pickaxe, the sack wrapped about her Kimono while she yanked and tugged the cart after her, not minding the passenger. Particularly since the cart would keep going when she hopped off the moving piece, wincing apologetically after the travel device and testing the walls with her sharp claws.

After a long moment, the Scareon panted and let herself slide to the floor to rest her paws. After her rest was over, she raised her maw and peered over the damage to them, and then to the damage the wall had taken. The opposing results apparently unpleasant to the creature, she wrapped her long, flat tail around the handle of the pickaxe, a heavy device for such an appendage, but a task she somehow managed.
Her next move somehow mimicked a tail whip, and she proceeded this way with alternating blows for a minute before resting again, her tail easily uncoiling from the thing so she could coddle it.

Disappointed yet again, the Eevee snarled and decided instead to just beat and bludgeon the wall. Her shoulder and most of her miniscule body weight landed against the wall a few times before she peered around to try to find the dodgy candy.
The vulpine creature grinned down at her findings, tucking them into the bag and stopping for a few moments to let her shoulder rest, curling up against the wall for the wait.

One more try. Malodore was so close - it was possible that it might achieve its goal today, but it would have to be fortunate. The plague doctor entered the mine with grim determination and selected what it thought might be a good starting point.
One candy greeted its first attempt. Hm. Not bad, but still not quite enough. It would have to find a motherlode...

Malodore pulled the pickaxe back and tapped the wall once more, more gently this time. It didn't want to shatter the candies before they'd had a chance to be found!
One more candy. Slow and steady won the race, Malodore supposed, but... well, it was better than nothing?

Gingerly, Malodore tapped the wall once more, hoping there was more to be found here. But, alas, only ordinary rock tumbled free this time.
