"Sure," Tennessee agreed as he approached his siblings and did an amazing job of ignoring Violet. Of course, he'd had a lot of practice at it by now. "I don't know if it'd work too well with just three people, though..." He glanced around to check again in case anyone else had shown up who might be interested. When he saw no one new had shown up (particularly a certain 'French state') he couldn't help a small, disappointed frown. "Well, I guess we can figure it out," he said with a shrug.

George "Christian" JonesGeorgia, U.S.A.Freshman I said where I come from It's cornbread and chicken Where I come from a lotta front porch sittin' Where I come from tryin' to make a livin' And workin' hard to get to heaven Where I come from Tennessee was right. With three people, they wouldn't be able to play a game. If they had four, then they could have at least had teams of two.... An idea popped into Georgia's head and he grinned proudly. "Why don't we play a game a' "Horse" then? The only limit on the number of players is that you need at least two people. Well, we got three now! So we should have no problem doing this~! Charlotte, since you said we should play basketball, why don't you be the one to set the distances and angles and add any tricks that we need to do."

"Michigan the Wolverine/Mitten state." Melody walked into the locker room, already changed. She was pretty sluggish. She had wanted to skip Gym, but she was caught red handed going to her dorm. She strolled into the gym, spotting quite a few of her siblings. She softened up a bit, so that she didn't look like a very angry girl. "Hey!"She shouted over to them, walking faster toward them. She was really bored at the moment, and would do anything just to amuse herself. Even if that meant she had to actually go to classes. It was her first day, after all.

"Horse sounds good to me," Andrew agreed with a short nod. Any game to pass the time would be good in his opinion. Tennessee paused when he noticed Michigan and smiled at his sister. "So you got caught?" he greeted, remembering earlier when she had talked about skipping classes. "I told you it prob'ly wasn't a good idea."

North Carolina, USA Charlotte Wilson (Jones) Freshman "Oh that'll be fun. I haven't played Horse in a long time." She smiled liking her brother's idea. "Fair warning I'm pretty good at shooting some hoops." Currently basketball is her state sport although there are talks of it getting replaced by Nascar. Charlotte waved to Melody "Sis, you wanna join us?" she asked getting ready for her first shot. everyone is called 'darling', "yall" is a proper noun, sweet tea is the house wine, and you never EVER disrespect your elders...

  Lili oooLichtenstein
Freshman / Ninth Grader Garden Club Member Lili smiled and gave a small giggle and nod of her head. "I know what you mean. I'm more for Winter Sports and Foo- Uh, soccer myself. I actually managed to make Latvia's manager quite after I beat their team and qualified to go to the World Cup once." She didn't say it proudly or say it in a boasting way. Yeah, she was proud to have proven her worth that year and then again when she played Iceland and moved on, but she wasn't the type to brag. If anything, she was just making a statement to give the state a good idea of her abilities. "Maybe sometime, when it gets cold, we should go ice skating. That could be pretty fun."
"I love to see you working hard, ...but please don't over do it. I'm worried sick about you."

"Yeah, I know how good you are at this sort of thing, Miss Char, but don't let that trick you into thinking you've got this won just yet. I may have been practicin' for all you know." He heard Andrew address someone and saw Melody taking her time to stroll out of the locker room. He grinned and waved over to her. "Hey, Miss Melody! Long time no see. My, you look like you're bored out of your mind. Come play with us~! It'll be a lot of fun~!"

Leah Sky-Robin Jones
Massachusetts Leah Smiled at Lili, "yeah that would be fun, but I might have to leave the school soon so I won’t be back for an awhile." she said, she would still love to go skating with Lili. "And maybe you could try to teach me some Soccer, Massachusetts has a soccer team, Revolution, but we don’t have that many soccer fans in America." she said.

  Lili oooLichtenstein
Freshman / Ninth Grader Garden Club Member Lili's smile saddened a little, but it also held a lot of understanding. She knew that everyone here had all sort of things going on back home, so it wasn't a surprise that an American state would also have things to worry about. "I understand. I hope you get everything done that needs to be quickly. You're a nice person. I would love getting to know you a little better." When Leah mentioned Lili teaching her some soccer, Liechtenstein laughed lightly. "I could try, but I doubt too many people would take you seriously if you said I taught you. Big Brother Switzerland and Germany are much better than me. I bet they would teach you all sorts of techniques." Sadly, though, there were few that could handle when they were giving lessons of any kinds..... Lili just happened to be one of those.

Leah Sky-Robin Jones
Massachusetts Leah Nodded, "yeah but they kind of scared me...they can be nice but still, they would drill me really hard," she said, she was not complaining, she just was scared she would pass out. Her face got a bit red, "Well I’m only nice to my friends....if you have not noticed I don't have many.....It's because I'm insane....Oh look the freak run away..." she mumbled the last part. "It’s all Arthur's fault..." she said quietly.

  Lili oooLichtenstein
Freshman / Ninth Grader Garden Club Member Liechtenstein wasn't going to argue. There were times where even she couldn't handle Big Brother's lessons, and that was just with him talking. At least he was passionate....
Lili tilted her head to the side as Leah said how she didn't have many friends. Was that so? She had noticed she tended to be by herself in class. Then again, so was Lili. Was Leah lonely like she normally was...? "...There's nothig wrong with you. You're just a little different. We all are." Lili closed her eyes and smiled a little more brightly. The light flush that was always on her cheeks darkened a little bit. "But isn't our differences what makes the world so much better and a little more mysterious? It's nice knowing we can all have our own views and still find a way to get along. Don't you think? Even if someone thinks you're odd for being different, that doesn't make you a freak. It just means that you're special and that's how you were meant to be."
"I love to see you working hard, ...but please don't over do it. I'm worried sick about you."

Tennessee hung back as he watched his siblings line up and get ready to play. It was actually kind of rare for them to be together playing games like regular kids. Normally if there was a gathering of states it was for a meeting or some specific purpose. The Volunteer State suddenly felt a little sad to think they didn't hang out more often like this. Andrew glanced over at Massachusetts and Lili and frowned a bit. He didn't know his much older sister very well since she lived in the North. The years of sectionalism between their regions leading up to the Civil War hadn't given them much opportunity to build a relationship and the actual war followed by Reconstruction hadn't exactly helped matters. Pennsylvania and New York were really the only members of the North he knew well. Even so, she seemed a little depressed, didn't she? Tennessee couldn't help staring and had almost forgotten about the game and Michigan as he wondered if maybe something was wrong. Massachusetts always seemed to be a little better informed than the rest of them so there could be a problem at home. Maybe he should call his boss later to check up on things... then again, he hadn't even been gone for a whole day. Surely nothing bad could have happened in that short of time? Violet nudged Tennessee with her nose when he seemed to have gotten lost in thought. She worried when he tried to think too hard since it wasn't normal for him. He could hurt himself if he wasn't careful.

  Lili oooLichtenstein
Freshman / Ninth Grader Garden Club Member Lili opened her eyes and looked to Leah. Leah seemed like such a sweet girl. It was such a shame that she and Alfred didn't get along and that Leah didn't think too positively of herself. "Pleasure to meet you, Massachusetts. I simply state my mind and speak the truth. There's no sense in making up stories."
The bell rang and Lili looked up. Was the last class of the day finished already? Boy, it didn't feel like they had even been there that long. "Oh." She looked to Leah and smiled. "I'm going to go to the greenhouse to water the plants and then check on a few people. I want to make sure Mr. Roderich has been alright on his own today and then see how Mr. Arthur is feeling. I hope you have a good day." She bowed her head to Leah before she turned and went to the locker room. She changed into her school clothes and left, heading towards the greenhouse.
"I love to see you working hard, ...but please don't over do it. I'm worried sick about you."
