Now that Vlad had the first stage of the style done, he opened the book up to the first skill. This skill was simple dodging and attacking skill, so he had the hologram punch at him. When the hologram punched him, Vlad rotated his shoulder to the side, so that the hologram hit air instead of Vlad's face, and Vlad extended his arm out to punch at the hologram's neck.
1/1 Shifting Punch learned.

The next skill was similar to the training he did for the first stage of the style. All it was was a quick chain of punches to the chin and thought, and followed up by an elbow. So Vlad practiced this on the hologram, and eventually knocked him off his feet.
1/1 Straight Blast learned

The last skill was probably the that he liked the most, because it was straightforward and could be pretty damaging. It was a skill where you quickly launch yourself towards your target, and punch them in the face. Nothing much to it, and yet it would most like cause the person to go tumbling backwards. So Vlad Tried it out on the hologram, launching himself towards him, and punched him in the face, causing him to fall back.
1/1 Lunge Punch learned.

After he learned everything that he could in the Wing Chun book, he walked out of the training room and towards the gates of the school.

FENRIR
Only through howls of lust and fury

Fenrir moved onto his next technique, known as the Guillotine Choke. This was to be his first choke hold, or submission hold for that matter. He was excited to learn. Quickly an enemy was formed by the Training Room to charge him, and Fenrir raised his hands up to his face in preparation for the conflict.

He waited for his chance wisely. The enemy swung wildly at him, but Fenrir just batted the fists away. Then Fenrir struck. At the most opportune moment Fenrir kneed the man in the stomach to make him bend forward, and then like a guillotine his arm came down on the back of his neck and slid around to capture the man in his lock. With just a little pressure the man passed out. It was quite the effective technique.

The next submission hold worked much the same way. An opponent came, Fenrir waited for his chance, and when the opponent got restless and threw a wild punch Fenrir was there to grab it. Fenrir listened to Alistair's instruction carefully as he initiated his attack.

Fenrir latched onto both arms of his opponent and pushed his foot on their midsection to bring them down. From there he pivoted and locked the opponent's neck down with one leg while the other locked their arm and pinned their chest. From there, with both arms tying the arm straight up his body, Fenrir thrusted his hip forward to snap the opponent's arm like a twig.

(Guillotine Choke, Arm Break learned)

Vlad walked into the training room, and opened up the general skills book. The first skill was to make bladed weapons dull so that it wouldn't kill the person they are sparring with. It wasn't something he would normally learn, but he didn't want to kill anyone during a friendly fight. So the room created a hologram sword for him, and Vlad focused his ki into it. He then gripped the blade of the sword and was relieved to feel that it was dull.
1/1 Dulled Edge learned

The next skill was actually one that taught you how to hold a weapon in a reverse grip. Useful if he needed to make a strong downward thrust so he thought he would try it out. So he switched his grip on the sword, and swung it around until he got used to it.
1/1 Reverse Grip learned.

The next skill was one that he liked more than the general skills he learned before. It was a skill to block a person's punch with his own forehead, and possibly damage the person's fist in the process. So Vlad tossed away the hologram weapon, and waited for the holographic person to appear once again. Once he did, Vlad waited for him to punch, and then angled his head down so that the punch connected to his forehead.
1/1 Hammer Head learned

Then next skill was a pretty useful one too. It was a skill that added your own body weight downward punch, but had the downside of possibly causing him to lose balance. But Vlad didn't care, so he practiced the move on the hologram and was satisfied to see that the hit knocked him down to the ground.
1/1 Hammer Fist learned

The last skill was similar to the wing chun style in that it was a skill that it was just a rapid fire of punches. So Vlad practiced in a similar way by just dishing out a lot of punches to the hologram that was formed in front of him. After a while of punching the tree, Vlad could do the skill pretty well.
1/1 Violent Fist learned

Once Vlad was done with those skills, he left the training room.

(( Had to do a double take when I looked at the Nine dragon's list and saw Angel's name up there.... XD ))

Sonya read her skill book. She was having trouble choosing a skill. So she decided to choose randomly. She closed her eyes and pointed to a skill. Then she opened her eyes and saw that the skill she had chosen was called Break Fall. (1/6)

She read the skill and the stood up. She needed someone to throw her. So she took off her right shoe and threw it at a random student. When the person turned toward her she smiled and waved. "Come help me train!" she said. (2/6)

Angry the person came over and attacked her. They tried to throw her and she tried to fall with the throw. This resulted in pain since she hadn't done it right on her first try. (3/6)

Seeming to realize that she wasn't going to fight back the person kept throwing her in a wide varity of ways. Some how Sonya was enjoying this. And each throw resulted in less and less pain the more he did it. (4/6)

By now Sonya was starting to figure out how to move her body with the throw. For the first time she was thrown with out getting hurt. She grinned wider. Just a little more practice. (5/6)

The more she was tossed the better she became at falling with the throws. Finally she could do it properly and no longer got hurt when thrown. That was a massive relief. She drop kicked the guy the next time he came at her and knocked him unconcious. After dragging his body our of her training area she started reading more skills. (6/6)

Break Fall Learned.

FENRIR
Only through howls of lust and fury

Fenrir returned to the library and started working on his next technique. Luckily there weren't any stages or styles with General skill so he could skip right to the good stuff. First he started out by reading through the details of the Overhead Crush technique.

He started by following the technique forms. He would bring his hands together over his head, and like swinging a giant hammer would come straight down to smash an invisible opponent. Fenrir could feel the wave of power leave his clenched fists as he finished.

As Walt neared the entrance to the training room, what he presumed to be another student darted out of the door just as he went to open it, the other student hit Walt on his shouldar knocking him off balence, spinning him knocking him on his a**. The Other student didn't notice Walt, or didn't care either way he kept going. With a sour look on his face Walt dusted himself off, as he did he noticed that the student seemed to have dropped a book, it looked worn... was one of those old fashioned instructional booklets. "Hmm, well wouldn't want to let this go to waste..." Walt spit out with a much more venomous tone than he intended as he slipped the book into a cargo pocket on his right pant leg. He then entered the training room. It was big.

It was like something out of X-Men he thought to himself. he saw other students do things that just looked unreal. A Spark of interest roused Walts determination as he set up his own little bit of room to practice, as Walt entered his area he felt a little uneasy as the area around him twisted and warped into a familiar place, a place near the town of which he called home. "Oh.. OK, I think I get this place." he rationalized to himself as he then prompted himself to revive his youth and go over his basics. He imagined a book very similar to the one residing in his pocket to his hands, it wasn't worn and looked pristine. It had in big bold letters along the spine reading The Basics. Walt opened the book, only to notice that most pages were blank, this struck him as odd, but what didn't about this place. After flipping through some pages it looked like it wasn't completely blank, a starting point finally showed itself to Walt. Walt read through what equated to roughly five techniques

Walt tossed the holographic book to his side, it landed with a satisfying thump as Walt then brought into existence a long weighted throwing knife into his right hand. It looked real, and it felt real. This was amazing he thought to himself as he toyed with the blade. Walt began to twirl the roughly seven inch knife about his fingers useing the mometum generated by it's weight and velocity to do all of the work for him, Walt stopped this and held the blade in a classic reverse grip position, and like riding a bike it came back to him, like riding a bicycle. This feeling was just right. [Learned: Reverse Grip]

Walt laid the blade out before him in a parallel. Walt slowed his breathe as was his custom whenever he was to draw upon his inner energies. Holding the blades shaft in his right hand, he touched his finger tips to the edge of the blade, and strengthening in his mind the idea that it was not only real but very sharp, the guidance of the book also crept into his mind as he dragged his left hand against the side of the blade. his breathing steady as was his grip and pace as he slid his hand horizontally alongside the blade, amazingly the blade dulled just the way it was supposed to as he slid his hand across. Where once a mighty sharpness called home to the blade, now resided a smooth dulled edge. strengthening his grip once last time on the weapon Walt tossed the dulled blade with all his strength straight down, and it sunk several inches into the imaginary concrete beneath his feet. [Learned: Dulled Edge]

Three images of the same man appeared before Walt. Shadowy figures from his past, faceless images with solid mass. Two of the figures took a step back as one took several steady paces towards Walt. Walt slid his right foot back a shoulders length behind him at a forty five degree angle from his front foot, and balled his fists, instead of following this with a standard guard he merely put a bend in his arms as we watched this faceless visage of past mistakes walk towards him. It was at this point to Walt that nothing else matter other than what was in front of him, and he forgot where he was. The shadowy figure made his move, it was a front punch flung off a similar stance as Walts. Walt stepped in with his ride leg turning his body perpendicular to the punch whilst simultaniously raising his right balled fist to his right ear then dropping it like a hammer across the figures temple. It landed with a satisfying force which resonated with Walt. The Figure dropped like rag doll and melted into the ground in a puff of smoke and disbelief. [Learned: Hammer Fist]

A surge of adrenaline coursed through Walt's body. It felt good, like a pulse of vitality swept through his entire being. He carried this feeling with him as the second shadowy figure made it approach, this time faster than the first. Walt dropped his center of weight as he stepped out at one hundred and eighty degrees, putting himself perpendicular to his opponent, bringing up his balled fists before him in a standard guard.

The Figure lunged at Walt with a phantoms speed. The figure opened it's arms wide open as it rushed in, trying to grapple Walt. Walt had zero ******** to give about this phantoms intentions as he swapped stances as the mans form approached. Bringing his right foot to his left, Walt stepped to his side while driving out both hands, now palms out before him like knives into the figures collar bones. It rocked the form stopping it's progress. Keeping contact with the form Walt grappled the forms lapel. Rage now consumed Walt as he pulled the form to himself. The forms body tried to fight against the force but was unable to to it's poor balance due to Walts strike. Walt delivered a Head butt to the figures shapeless nose, it rocked back. Walt shot his hands up grabbing the formless ears and dragged the head back to Walt, where he delivered a second head butt to the forehead of the man, it started to sag but Walt, using his momentum pushed and pulled the being right back for a third head butt, this time the force caused grey blood to erupt the figures now shattered skull. It fell silently to the ground, once again dishearteningly with a shadow of a doubt. [learned: Hammer head]

PostPosted: Tue Sep 13, 2011 4:05 pm

One shadowy figure remained before Walt. This one seemed to be much more patient than the others, and Walt knew... just knew more dangerous than the other two. It let out an otherworldly roar as it clashed it's two fists together, and in the blink of an eye vanished. Walt's heart raced. Partly from the adrenaline, partly due to subconscious fear.

He felt like he was a child again, it was the last time he had felt such a fear. even taking down two of the faceless shadows he felt powerless. He then felt a fist crack with a heavy thud against the back of his skull. The blow rocked Walt forward, as a second blow was felt against his temple, sending him sprawling against the ground. His sight wavered as the form stepped before him, taking on an even more menacing existential monster like feel to it's very core. Walt steadied his gaze, he stood back up to his feet by will alone. The distant pang of and old feeling now surged through him, along with his adrenaline. The feeling of ruthless, murderous, determined rage. Walt calculated his revenge. Walt crossed his body with pair of balled fists and dropped into his original fighting stance. Putting more emphasis into the bends of his knees he prepared a lunging strike. The figure began to move once again.

It took off with a full sprint towards Walt. It raised it Right arm high to his ear, and left his left hand out in a balled one handed guard. Walt bided his last few precious seconds, as sweat began to pour down his face. He gritted his teeth as he bellowed out his greatest shout. It was Deep and cutting... Like the fist he had just planted into shadow. The being never saw it coming, it couldn't have. Walt pushed forward with his forwarded planted foot, raising his back leg to dash forward, while simultaneously bringing up his own bawled right fist and what appeared to be a single blow to its head, was in reality three swift and seamless blows right past the targets guard. his blows were solid, fierce, deadly. This figure never made it to the ground as it shattered in a plume of smoke, of a shadow of a doubt, Walt raised his arms in triumph, and let out a deep roar. [Learned: Violent fist.]

His surroundings began to warp once more, Walts head spun with disconcerted disbelief. The room around him no longer bore the familiar sight of his home town, but rather then cold clean appearance of the training room. The holograms faded as all that was left, was a pounding head, and shaking fists, along with the weight of the training Manuel in his pant pocket.

FENRIR
Only through howls of lust and fury

Fenrir continued his training against higher and higher stacks of bricks. It was actually quite the trick. He would stand in front of the stack, raise his hands over his head, and then practice smashing through as many as he could.

By the time Fenrir finished he could easily go through a long stack of bricks. He even sent a few down through the floor of the Training Room. Hopefully someone would come around and clean that up later...

With his training finished, Fenrir picked up his things and headed for the dorms once more. He was still planning to meet Angel at his dorm.

Then Elise laughed nervously, "Mi fai sappy ora ... Come su di te mi prendere per il dormitorio e possiamo continuare la discussione lì?"

walking in the training room with book in hand, Travis searched for a comfortable spot to practices for the upcoming tournament. studying his "wing chun" manual Travis walks up to a padded wooden practice post and slowly punched it in the places that was shown in the book.
spending hours in the training room hitting the precise spots, Travis began to speed up with his punches hitting harder and faster understanding the concept of of the "chain punch" combo.
PostPosted: Wed Sep 14, 2011 1:02 am

reading on in the manual Travis comes across a move that he can start of with as a beginner move.
"shifting punch hmm....sounds easy enough" spoke Travis as he practiced the move slowly trying to get the feel of how the move it supposed to be done by shifting ones shoulders to one side and and striking at the neck or head of the person striking at u then the user can then avoid the oncoming punch and deliver one back before the attacker has time to block (but can be blocked under certain circumstances).
1/3

assuming a wing chun fighting stance travis shifts his left shoulder to the back and extends his right fist outward and then back to the original starting position of the move reassuming a wing chun fighting stance.
2/3

facing the padded practice dummy the young boy extends his left fist outward and his right fist slightly lower then the left as he suddenly without warning shifts his right shoulder back and extend his left hand outward in a striking fashion aimed at the dummy's neck region causing the wind to whistle around his hand making a "whoosh" noise as his fist struck true to his target.
3/3

{learned: stage one- shifting punch}

Walt, took a moment to compose himself after his last set of skill training. His breathing was deep, sweat still poured down his face. It was time to cool down. "Man, I wasn't expecting any of that... I gotta watch what I think." Just then a Green duck popped into existance, This song started to start playing out of thin air. "Oh man.... s**t's about to get real." Walt retrieved the book from his pant pocket and examined it. Which just felt like the thing to do. The Duck, just kinda stayed right were it was as Walt examined the book.

The Book appeared to be a collection of throwing knife techniques. Which, seemed kinda cool... and more importantly convenient, considering what this crazy a** room was creating for him. Reading the first several pages he unlockedwithin himself the natural ability to seemingly control knives better than ever before. It felt good, but he needed proof of his readings. A weighted throwing knife appeared in his hand, and he looked over at the duck, a smirk shot across his face, almost as fast as the knife he thought into creation flew through the air striking the duck with the flipped end of the knife. Walt threw the knife as to strike with the blunt end of the handle. The Duck blew up, leaving a trail of oddly large pixels, and a floating number one hundred. [Learned: knockout]

The music just then changed it'self up a bit. as Walt brought to life another knife in his hand. Where the solitary duck once was, a lush if not poorly animated set of brush came into being. Walt tossed the knife up and down in his hand, flipping it exactly once in the air before it fell into his open hand in the same way it was prior to being thrown. Suddenly a duck darted across the pixel drove, But Walt was ready for it. Leading the duck to the center of the stage Walt whipped his new knife straight ahead, this time the blade did not spin. The missile soared across the gap striking the duck mid-center. Again, a boom, and floating number one hundred appeared. [learned: straight knife]

Walt reset the knife in his hands as we waited for his next poorly animate victim to cross his path. It wasn't long until the mallord miraculously sprang into life and started to cross his sight. Walt cocked back his knife and tried to repeat his last throw. It wasn't until he had already released the blade the he noticed that in the shadow of the first duck was a second. Walt braced himself for the inevitable worst.

This happend. Walts shame was clearly visible as he face palmed hard. Hitting himself in the face with his book, a technique caught his eye, it was perfect. He would not be shamed by the dog once again. This time, Walt brought to himself a pair of knifes, and carefully palmed them to layer upon one another. The same pair of ducks crossed his path, as he let them draw to the center of the stage Walt released the knives, which struck both ducks consecutively. The absence of the shameful dog gave peace to Walt. [Learned: Trick shot]

PostPosted: Thu Sep 15, 2011 2:16 pm

Feeling a bit smug at his performance Walt hadn't noticed that the monstrous form of a dog rose up behind the pixel forest, and had stepped forward. Walt began forming more and more knifes in his hands, at first he was setting himself up for the next set of ducks, but now he seemed to be having fun just creating. The Monstrous dog, wanted to show Walt he could do the same, but Walt was not paying him any attention. The Dog wouldn't have that, no he wouldn't. Walt juggled a set of knives, in total bemusement to himself as the Dog raised it's paws, and then suddenly... Ducks.

Much Like Walts first throw, the dog shot a dog forward, the duck spinning once, landed a** first into Walt's face, which did not explode into pixels. But the number One hundred did appear over his head. The Dog laughed its' malicious laugh. Mocking Walt's duck-a** face. Rage filled Walts very being, at that stupid laugh, he tossed the knives he was juggling high into the air, then just waited for the brief moment for gravity to kick in, sending them back into his hands. That moment came, and in a blur of blades and whistling streaks of fury the blades caught the Dogs fur and his right ear. The Force of the blades drove him back, pinning him to the wall, which shuddered with a loud thud, and a floating number one hundred. [Learned: Knife trap]

Vincent Entered the trainign room once ********!! My ribs kept me from training.....

Vincent crouched, and flexed he was pumped up,

"TIME FOR MORE TRAINING MOTHER ******** yelled out, now completely consumed by his fighting spirit,

He started by opening the book he'd gotten from the library and read the pages and decided which one was best and placed the book in his shirt for later and began to train.

He started with hammer head a brutal attack which used his head to strike, he'd easily be able to use it to its full potential. He began with a few very strong headbutts against a solid wall. Again and again and the attack seamed to grow stronger.[1/3]

He began to become good at using the attack as the pain he should have felt wasn't there. He continued smashing his head finding the perfect spot on his head to deal more damage. It looked like a maniac smashing his face into a wall but none the less it was useful training.[2/3]

Vincent finally was able to find a spot where the damage was heavy. He began to smash his face dozens of more times and without even causing his head to bleed. But after all that practice he'd mastered the attack.[3/3]
