Alex got closer to the edge and she didnt have her weapons which made her afraid,"JACK!" she didn't know what to do but yell his name,'What was I thinking I can't live without him.' she thought and then one pirate shot her in the chest and she fell backwards falling off the edge into the water.

Jack's sword made a gracful swing in taking off the pirate's head. "Never," he growled. "never harm Alex again." He glared at the other pirates and manged to fight them off. "Alex!" He ripped his shirt off and jumped in after her.

Alex was on the floor of the lake the watefall poured into, she had her eyes clothes and she was breathing very slowly.The gun was right below her heart and it the wound was bleeding.

Jack grabbed Alex and swam up to the surface pressing his shirt against the wound applying pressure. "Don't die on me," he warned her, taking her hand and putting it on his shirt. "Keep your hand here." He picked her up and started running back to the house.

Alex nodded slowly,"Jack...I'm sorry for leaving..I'm sorry..I was lost without you." her eyes were still close but she had tears go down her face and she groaned in pain if she took a deep breath.

"Don't try to talk, Alex." He tried to hide it, but it was clear the fear in his tone for losing her was strong. Jack kicked open the door to his sister's home and laid Alex on a bed in the upstairs bedroom. Katey had ran off to call on a doctor. Jack laid next to Alex stopping the bleeding.

Alex breathed normally after awhile but it was painful to take deep breathes."Jack.." she turned her head to him rubbing her hand on his cheek she smiled a little and then she groaned a little cause she took a deep breath.

Jack kissed her giving her his air, his breath, anything to help her stay alive. Katey pulled him back as the doctor rushed in and started to stench the bleeding and stitch her up. Jack went downstairs and waited with Katey and John.

When the doctor got done fixing her Alex sat up,"Thank you doc." The doctor nodded and he looked at her,"Alex did you know you were pregnant?" Alex looked at him shocked and she shook her head,"No..I didn't." The doctor sighed,"Well the gun powder and bullet when it hit you it went to the child and the baby inside you is dead, you can have another just this one is dead." He walked out and walked downstairs. Alex put her face in a pillow and cried.

Jack walked in quietly and sat down next to her. "Im so sorry Alex.." he whispered. "Doc told me..iam so sorry." He hugged her close and let her cry in his chest.

Ale hugged him and kept her face in his chest,"I wanted a child with you!But those bastards had to hoot me!Why did I just run off I'm such an idiot!"she yelled in his chest. Alex clenched his shirt and closed her eyes.

Jack kissed her head and rubbed her back. "It'll be ok," he whispered. "We'll make it okay. We can have many kids as you want."

"That was my first..it was going be our first kid!" she clenched his shirt and cried into his chest,"Jack..please protect me I feel so weak now cause my child is gone!"

Jack laid his head down against hers. "Don't worry Alex. . .I'll always protect you. Even if you leave again, I'll follow you anywhere." He kissed her and laid down with her wrapping his arms around her. "I'm so sorry Alex. . .I'm so sorry i failed..."

Alex kissed him back and stayed close to him,"Its's not your fault Jack...it's mine I left you..I shouldn't have done that..being with you i the best thing that ever happened to me." she looked at him and smiled little.
