The lycan rolled his lips up into a crude smile. "Fiesty. Its a shame we couldn't use you for one of the pleasure slaves." The group of lycans behind him broke out into laughter.
Kouchi dove out from behind his hiding place and dashed straight for one of the beholders. The creature snarled at him as it raised its eye to disintegrate him. The other followed suit. Kouchi ran between the two and grabbed one of the eyes, just as it fired. He moved it around so that the disintegration ray hit the opposite beholder. Both of the creatures disappeared in a cloud of dust.

Takara was about to slap him when he stated that comment, "Well too bad you'll never see that happen." she said and moved away from the ordor coming from his body.

The lycan snarled at her again. "You're right. I don't have the time for the likes of you." He turned on his heel and left...but the group remained behind, eyeing her with their swords drawn. As one, the group of five lycans started towards her.

Looking around to make sure there wasnt anything behind her, Takara stood her ground with sword in hand and watched as the group of lycans came towards her. "Takara you are so hard headed, how in the world are you going to defeat these lycans let alone five at once." she said under her breath.

The lycans moved in closer and closer to her, their musty smell just as overpowering and rank as their larger counterpart's.
Kouchi emerged into the daylight, little girl in his arms. He was covered in dust, as were the remaining survivors from the cave. The little girl gave a slight cough.
The lycans took their attention off of Takara and looked over at Kouchi in shock. They did not expect to see him there.

Seeing her opportunity to strike, she brought her sword forward striking the lycan that was closest to her. Making contact the lycan howled as its arm laid there on the ground. Takara moved back in time to strike again, and thats when she realized the person that caught the lycans attention was Kouchi.."Kouchi.." she whispered softly seeing him with a little girl within his arms.

Kouchi was in shock at who he saw as well. "Takara..." he quickly snapped out of it as the lycans howled and started after the two of them. "Here, take her," he said handing the little girl to one of the surviviors.
He ducked and rolled under one lycan's slash and planted his foot into the beast's gut. The lycan doubled over in pain and Kouchi quickly brought his fist up to connect with its chin with a crack. The lycan went flying backwards, unconscious. Kouchi ran over and grabbed its sword. "One down.."

Meanwhile, one of the lycans turned its attention back to Takara, seeing her with sword in hand, it snarled at her and began to charge at her. Making contact with her, Takara flew back a few yards away from where she was standing, gasping for air, she quickly looked around for her sword for at impact when she went flying her sword also went flying but further away from where she landed.
Crawling from where she landed she knew she had to hurry for the lycan wasnt finish with her yet...looking around she finally found the sword and was about to get up when she felt something breathing down the back of her neck.

"Takara!!" Kouchi started run towards her, only to stop and duck as a lycan blade nearly sliced cleanly through his neck. The blade stuck into a tree. The lycan growled as he tried to pull it free.
Kouchi threw his elbow into the beast's gut once, twice, three times before the lycan doubled over; only to be uppercutted by the butt of Kouchi's sword. The lycan staggered for a moment, before falling to the ground.
Kouchi stood up quickly and looked over at Takara. "Please let this work," he said as he tossed the blade threw the air towards the lycan ontop of her.

Hearing the breathing sound of the lycan above her, Takara closed her eyes for she knew that she had only one chance of delivering a blow to it. As quickly as possible with her hand close to her dragger she pulled it out and shoved the dragger into its throat as she rolled over unto her back. And at that moment she heard Kouchi yelling out her name and before she could respond the lycan that once was over her was now on top of her.
Blood flowing unto her face, Takara tried to wiggle herself from under the lycan but it was too heavy for her to move.."Stupid lycan why do you have to weigh so much." she said as she tried to get the thing off her.

Kouchi sighed. "Maybe I shouldn't tell her that that wasn't where I was aiming," he said to himslef as he felt claws scratch his back. He gave a gasp as he staggered forward. The lycan then rushed him, sword held high and pointed downwards, Kouchi dropped to his knees and sweot his foot along the ground tripping the lycan. The beast gave out a yelp as it landed on its own sword. Kouchi stood up and walked over to help Takara. "Thats all of them...wait," he said, counting the bodies. "There's only four bodies and one arm..."

Shaking her head and wiping the blood off her face, Takara looked around seeing the dead bodies. "Well done, Kouchi,...but where is Chan and who was that little girl you were carrying before I was attacked?"

Kouchi's eyes went wide as the little girl screamed. He turned to see the one armed lycan holding her, blood on its muzzle from killing the human that Kouchi had given the girl to. It snarled at them, foam dripping from its fangs and its eyes going wild. It seemed almost feral. Kouchi put his hands up to show that he had no weapon.
I can't do anything....

Hearing the scream, Takara was about to turn around when she noticed that Kouchi stood there staring and then was slowly raising his arms up as if he was surrendering..
Trying to make eye contact with him she had hoped that he saw she had a dragger in her hand.."Kouchi...how far away is the child from him?" she whispered.

The lycan held the girl close, as if threatening to bite her. Tears stained her cheeks as she looked to Kouchi and Takara for help. "Not enough to give you any room for error," he said, seeing the dagger in her hand.
