Cancer didn’t seem inclined to retaliate against her, or at least not immediately, and that was something Mica would’ve been a fool to not take advantage of. Nodding briefly to Painite - there wasn't much she could do about magic bubbles - Mica began to slink away, searching for another target. She didn’t think it cowardly to attack already weakened Senshi, not at all; it made perfect strategic sense.

And for that brief moment something besides absolute anger shone in Quail's eyes.
Sadness.
Regret.
But the words of Cancer brought the fury of battle right back.
"You did not come to PROTECT, you came to take over and claim. You only realize now the mistake you made...at least some of you do."
He glanced back at Castor who apparently needed some air bullets. To the face.

Serandite could fly. Her bunny, however, could not. Meaning it was a physical fight with Serandite handicapped. Pegasus could fire dream shots in the air. Serandite could not.
But at least they weren't warmth-homing missles of destruction. She could avoid them if she played her cards right.
"Elysion-- Even if it needs to be taken by force, at least we wouldn't blacken this place with their carelessness and disregard for dreams." Serandite voiced to Pegasus, her wings beating furiously to head into Pegasus's direction. "Our queen's desires is only to keep this safe haven just the way it is-- without people who disrespect it--" She aimed an accurate kick towards Pegasus's gut. (She would have preferred to dislocate her hands to prevent attacks but one couldn't choose.)
But in that moment, when Serandite's back was turned, Nemesis's kick met her spine. In a spinning circle, Serandite's wings topped, leaving her somewhere to the side of Pegasus and Nemesis.
"Goddamnit Alkaid---" Serandite muttered, heaving an aggravated sigh. Nemesis always re-entering. "Alkaid, would you please," She spit out the word through gritted teeth, "take care of Nemesis? I don't know what you're feeling-- but an enemy is an enemy."

Painite was surprised when a bubble formed around her, remembering that this had been around that other senshi and was meant for protection.
Except now it seemed more like a cage. Painite did not like being caged, and she jabbed Mr. Saddles into it relentlessly.
"Oi! Let me out of this!" she called, to anyone who might hear her. That senshi was so dead, if she could just get herself free. She saw the other Negaverser begin to move off, on top of everything else, throwing her hands up in frustration.

Making sure his airbrush gun was loaded, Bismuthite charged. Forget finding Captain Wolframite - mindlessly searching the battlefield wasn't earning the Negaverse any ground! And they'd get no where with this damn Quail attacking any and everybody, no matter what faction they were from!

Alkaid grimaced as the wave of Nemesis' attack hit her, rolling over her body and bringing every nerve to a standstill. She was a living statue in the middle of a war, and her eyes were only for the blue haired senshi as she whirled away from her. There was nothing left to say, not with the void growing between them.
Still, her immobility gave her a moment to look at the world around her. She took in the fights, the people slowly beating one another to bloody bruises. And then, somewhere in the distance, a bird she vaguely recognized. He looked, for the most part uninjured, and the longer she stared the more she remembered - he was one of those guardians, wasn't he?
She could feel the immobility slowly wearing away, first in her fingers and then crawling up her arms and legs until she could move herself once more. Then, a general was yelling at her. The indecision was clear on her face - protect Serandite as she commanded, or go for that fluttering fool.
"I'm sorry," she would take whatever punishment later, but her gut was telling her there was no gain in attacking Nemesis, "but I think we have better targets." She turned away, narrowing her eyes on the blue bird, and trying to tell herself this had nothing to do with her connections to the senshi of decay as she burst off in his direction.
With no warning, no words, she drew back her fist and aimed for the little flurry of wings - Quail.

Preoccupied with Biotite, Sinon failed to notice a woman with a curling iron sprinting straight for her. The weapon bonked the redhead on the head and she yelped, a gloved hand immediately reaching for the bruise already forming. “What the?!” she yelled, scrutinizing the woman before curling her free hand into a fist and immediately called out, “Sinon White Lies!” The strings slithered around Kutnohorite.
Luckily, the sudden arrival of Kutnohorite had also pulled Sinon’s attention away from Captain Biotite. Lucky duck.

The child listened to the quail, her grip around him tightening for a moment as she considered his words. She whispered a "You promise?" to him as she buried her face into him so that she would not have to watch as he attacked someone. She just had to keep what he said in mind. No one would be hurt. No one would be hurt. No one would be hurt... Her eyes shot open though. Mister birdy could be hurt!
"What about you?" She cried out.

Rock in air space. Rock hitting head. Find target. Target found. He wanted to punch a bird. He wanted to punch that nega. Bird with a chibi or nega?
Castor picked nega. A nega with a fist aimed at their face. that was great feeling. Until his own face was hit. s**t. s**t s**t. Castor called out once more. "PEGASUS GOD DAMN IT- ********- DUDE WHO RUN THIS FOR EARTH'S PRINCE-" He wasn't sure where she was. "GET YOUR BIRD TO STOP THIS BULLSHIT!"

Mica saw the corrupt Senshi abandon Nemesis to attack the quail. Worthless. The quail had repeatedly attacked Castor, so why risk drawing its ire before it might potentially eliminate the Eternal Senshi?
On the other hand, that meant Nemesis was clear for her to attack again. Mica thought the Senshi deserved a good kick in the back to show her appreciation for the earlier punch. Mica flew towards the Senshi, aiming a kick at Nemesis’s ribs.

The pain of another body hitting your own was one that many people took for granted. For Pegasus, she felt this underestimation acutely as Serandite's shoulder slammed into her gut, and she felt the muscles of her wings seize, causing her to fall a good few feet before she recovered, swooping into a glide before beating them to regain the distance she had lost, spinning in the air to face both her and Nemesis. It seemed her friend had attacked the sunset-haired girl not long after she had taken her own blow, which was perhaps the only thing that had saved her from being taken out completely. Still, she could only offer the Senshi of Decay half a nod before she froze but for the beat of her wings, hearing the words Serandite had uttered and bearing her teeth in anger, eyes flashing dangerously.
"You think I would let anyone sully this place?" She replied, her voice like a razor, spitting the words with a newfound anger towards Serandite, "You, who cannot keep your own dreams from becoming black and plagued, think you can do better?"
Beating her wings hard, she propelled herself into the nega, grabbing her around the waist and bringing them both into a nose-dive towards the ground.

Irony, that she would ask now...
"I...may be hurt, but it is for a good cause. A guardian's purpose is to protect, to be hurt, possibly even die, so that what they guard can remain protected. I am not afraid child, do not worry."
He was afraid though. Deeply afraid. If they could get here, wage -war- here, what could they possibly do to protect the land they called home?
The attacks hit, Quail turning his body to take them rather than avoid. If he avoided, Hypnos could be hit, and that was something he wasn't willing to risk. The boy cried out in pain, but still stood strong.
This was HIS land, and he -would- protect it. No matter the cost.

Alumo smirked to himself as he retreated away from the Chibi and the Quail, bored with their existence already. They were little. They were annoying. And as much as he would like them to just… shut up… he would rather let someone else deal with silencing them for good. Their whining and crying would grate on his nerves.
The Captain looked up when he heard a high-pitched voice nearby, seeing the General he’d first run to aid at the beginning of this whole mess. Serandite was her name? He was pretty sure, at least. She probably didn’t know his, since he didn’t exactly talk to many people, much less parade around his super long and really pointless name, but that didn’t really matter at this point.
To be honest, she didn’t look so good. Well, she looked good, but not very well. And certainly didn't look like she was enjoying the nose-dive.
He frowned to himself, pondering what to do for a few moments, before flapping his wings and making his way over to her. No, it had nothing to do with the fact that she was really cute and had a bunny and kicked a**. Of course not. No, Alumo had one thought, and one thought alone:
The chain of command must be preserved.
