I am a bass clarinet player. i started out on the b flat clarinet. I am the only bass clarient player. my director calls me "The Solo Amigo" insted of the three amigos. LOL haha, anyways, I just started this year but i rok at it. I play a Vito. it is a cheapo brand but im borowing it from the school and my cheap-a** principle wont give us any money for our music programs. I hate him. I plan to take over the world with Penny (my clarinet) and Big Papa (my bass clarinet).

I play the bassoon. It's safe to say it's a love-hate relationship, cause it's fun to play, but hard to put together and away. ><;

I play the Tenor Sax..im thinking of swithcing to th Alto Sax or Clarinet..but idk if my BD will let me considering im the only tenor sax except for Jazz Band which starts monday...The Tenor Sax Case that i have really sucks cuz the latch on one side is broke so it doesnt stay shut..and our school district wont give the band any money so if we need money for the marching band trips we have to do a fund raiser and hope there is money left over from the trip...we barely got uniforms for the marching band about 2 years ago and the high school i go to is about 50 years old so the marching band wen 48 years without uniforms...oh my sister was in marching band one of those years..they were getting ready to go to a competion and the school district wouldnt give them money for uniforms so the band director (not mine) had to tell them to wear a white T-Shirt and black slacks to the competition..but the bright side is they won the competition even though all the other bands had uniforms..so my sister told me it doesnt matter how the band looks its how they sound that matters..
special thanks to my Band Director for believing in me and giving me confidence to do things that i would never thaught id be able to do..

i play the bass clarinet and the normal clarinet YAY FOR CLARINETISTS
we played the final countdown in our band . its kind of a stupid song but the band arangement is AWESOME!!!!!!!! while my bass clari was in the shop i had to play my norma clarinet and they dident have enough trumpets on the main riff so all the clarinets got swiched on to that part (YAYZ!!!) but i got my bass back right before the concert so i had to play the bass line which is still cool.

I was the lone bari player in senior band, till I got a grade seven instrument buddy (we still played in seperate bands of course; though I also had to double as a tenor sax)... >.< We had to share the stupid thing (we had different mouthpieces of course, and reeds too); and we couldn't play a mid D because the keys were so messed up, we were using elastics and such.
And this year I still get the crappy bari; pieces keep falling off of it. And Alex got one that had just gotten in from being fixed, and Simon got the new one... oh well, it is better then the one I had in junior high. *ish Canadian; no middle school here*

Bass Clarinet is the best though cause it sounds rich instead of like a dying duck. well if your tenor sax sounds like a dying duck then either your putting way too much air or not enough...i play the tenor sax and omg its sounds beautiful..your probably spending all your time on the bass clarinet and not practicing the tenor if thats the way its sounding cuz if i sounded like a dying duck i wouldnt have been offered to be in marchin and jazz and advanced band in one year...its the way the saxophonist plays it that makes it sound the way it does its not the instruments fault its yours..
