"Sorry.." Shadow said as he let her go, holding her hands gently. His ears were a bit limp, as if sad. " i know. But im fine, really." he said acting cheerful. He had a big smile on his face and his ears perked up. He didnt want to worry Yuzi in the slightest, especially after the previous day. All he wanted was to make sure she was ok.

Yuzi stared up at him with sincere eyes before looking away,her ears laying ontop of her head. "I don't know if I believe you,Shadow." She said as if she was disappointed in herself. She wasn't sure if she wasn't thinking straight or she just didn't want to believe her own words.

Shadow looked down a bit, closing his eyes. He seemed to disappear in the darkness for a few seconds before he opened them again. He was looking at her with a saddened expression. " its... its just... well you saw how everyone reacted when they saw me.." he said.

Yuzi bit down on her lip as she slightly shook her head, "I know,but why do you care what they think? They obviously have not seen the wonderful person under your appearance." She said as she looked back up at him. She didn't want Shadow to look sad anymore,it'd kill her to see a frown on his face.

Shadow shrugged slightly and looked back up at Yuzi. " enough about me. how is your chest..?" he asked trying to change the subject. He didnt want to cause any concern, so he tried to make her the topic of interest instead of himself.

Yuzi rubbed her chest and let out a sigh, "Can we not talk about it? You really don't have to be concerned about it,Shadow. I'll be fine." She assured him as she gave him a two second smile.

Shadow nodded gently and sat on his bed. " ok.. sorry." he said. He looked down a bit towards his hands and then back up at Yuzi. He couldnt help but feel responsible for her getting hurt.

Yuzi leaned in and gave him a kiss then laid her forehead on his. "If you're still tired I can go. It'd be easier for you." She suggested as she looked into his eyes. She parted her lips but didn't bother saying anything else,since she knew how he felt and wanted him to know it wasn't his fault.

Shadow held the kiss for a few seconds and looked back after she put their foreheads together. " no.. i dont want you to leave. im not tired anymore." he said softly. He got up and started to get dressed, putting on his normal clothes. " if your leaving, i want to come." he said putting on his shirt.

Yuzi twiddled with a piece of her hair as he got dressed. "Are you sure? Because I can't bare seeing you sad,Shadow." She replied as she shifted her weight on her other leg,her eyes never leaving his.

Shadow nodded slightly. He was sure he didnt want people to see him, but didnt want to make a big deal out of it. " im...im sure" he said. I want to go out of here with you.

Yuzi nodded and smiled, "Okay,but if you feel like you want to come back,tell me. There's nothing to be embarrassed about." She said as she grabbed his hand, "Should we wake up Drake?" She asked as she gestured to Drake who was slumped in his bed.

Shadow nodded a bit and looked up at her. " i will, dont worry." he siad softly, He brushed of a few specs of dust from his shirt that seemed to blend with his skin. After hearing her next question, Shadow glanced at Drake. He began to walk over to wake him up when Drake spoke. " wake me up and i'll end you, Shadow." He said. This was merely a phrase not to be taken serious. It was Drakes way of saying let me sleep. " looks like he wants to rest. Lets just get outta here, where do you want to go? " Shadow spoke.

Yuzi grinned at Drake's reply to Shadow waking him up. She looked over at him once he asked her where she wanted to go, "I'm in the mood for some ice cream and I heard there was a new ice cream shop built somewhere near by. I was thinking of checking it out." She replied as she laid her back on the wall next to the door. "Sound good?"

Shadow nodded with a smile. " that sounds great. Lets get going." he said walking up next to her and opening the door. He was being polite and opening it for her to go out first.
