I call myself Ginelle But some call me Ginny. [Although I'm not famous like the real Ginny Potter (Weasley) is...] First year. I think that my House is obvious... Ginelle Sighed. She didn't have an opinion about the color she took, so she waited and grabbed what ever was left. A Yellow Salamander. Perfect. It was a bit intimidating to look at, but other than that, it was quite amusing to watch. She set the jar on the ground and sat there for a moment, watching the salamander in the jar. Perfectly harmless, for now. thought Ginelle. It was quite amusing to her.
She had just realized that she was new to the class. She needed to speak to the teacher about catching up in class. "P-professor Kalle, I'm Ginelle. I'm new... I was w-wondering if there was anything I needed to do other than the j-j-j...journal for the salamander? And, would you explain that to me a bit more for c-c..larafication, Professor?" Ginelle had a habbit of being overly afraid of teachers that actually gave out work. It was new to her, so she asked timidly

*Sophia picked up the dark green salamander very carefully and looked it in the face. Not the most attractive of creatures, but she could get attached... Narlambe (Nahr-lam-bay), she decided to name him. An elvish name for Firetongue. She thought it seemed to fit... And if it didn't, it sounded neat anyways. She set him down and started watching the class pick out salamanders.*

 Cloud smiled when she overheard Antoinette. Seeing that the pink salamander was the only one left, and Antoinette was too lazy to retrieve it herself...she got up, and picked up the jar containing the pink one. She lifted it up to her face and grinned.
You're a cute one. A perfect little girlfriend for my Xander.
Cloud pulled out Xander's jar, and put the two jars next to each other. The salamanders squeaked at each other excitedly.

"Look what you DID!" She whispered-screamed. She gave Cloud a contemptuous look, to show that she wasn't affected. AT ALL.

Meiko ran into the forest with her usual quill and notebook to take down notes. She saw salamanders, and said to the professor with a curious look on her face. "Professor, I'm sorry about being late, but what are we going to do for today?"

'Welcome to class Ginelle, and welcome back Meiko. We are currently studying salamanders by caring for one for one week. I would like for you to please write about your salamander's daily activities, diet, and regular behaviour. Be sure to include your salamander's name and a description in your journal. One week from today, I will write up your marks. Every day until then I would like for you to make one or two posts in here including information about your salamander as I described above. It should be in point form. The daily journal can be the only post you make in the class for one week,' Kalle said.

 'An excellent question Eriena! You can tell by looking at the same thing you look at for basically any lizard or salamander. Females are considerably thinner, and if you look right beneath the beginning of the tail, you will see a closed hole. For a male, you will see a raised bump,' Kalle said. She raised her own salamander high above her heead for all the students to see. 'Malinalhach here is a female. Please include your salamander's gender in your daily journal as well.'

Day One:
No noticable physical changes, although the yellow salamander was getting rather fiesty.
Tried taking it out of the jar, and it squirmed and tried to bite me! If it happens later, I will take it to the professor and ask if I did something wrong. Maybe it is just too young?
Diet is normal, vitals are the same.
I named him Sunman, because he was just so bright yellow and pretty. He wasn't as thin as a female salamander, so I decided that he was a male. I guess she could be an overweight salamander, but I don't think so.
I think Sunman is a boy.
He likes to roll and play around in his jar, but he sleeps alot too. I wonder if something is wrong... I hope not!

I've decided to name the dark-green salamander "Pipi", because it matches it perfectly. I'm not quite sure of it's gender, and I'm not checking.
It looks the same since it was assigned to me, same colour, etc.
It eats alot and is huge, so I will put Pipi on a diet; only one meal a day.
Pipi's an energetic little bugger, always bouncing around in it's jar, so I never let it out. It might bounce off into some place I won't can't reach. I don't think it sleeps, another sign that it's had too much to eat.
It's also a creepy little bugger, I think it was watching me while I slept.

day uno
i have named my salamander Romulus, its a rather amusing name that i enjoy. I think it is male and thats why i have named it Romulus but i'm not so sure. it lookes the same to me but it has grown in height an weight (note to self: feed the thing less). It eats a lot of plants and small bugs which i find extremely disgusting, and i feed it twice a day which i think i should make it one. i let it out some times but then it tries to run away, so i put it back in the jar. he loved to run but i think he just wants to get out of here but whatever and he sleeps a lot, maybe somethings wrong but i think he's just lazy.
