Pegasus' arms were there the moment she felt Chibi's legs start to buckle, feeling the arm around her waist even as she reached behind the pink-skirted senshi, one arm cradling her shoulders, the other sliding beneath her knees. Without a sound the senshi of dreams lifted the shorter girl into her arms, already crouching even as the other girl spoke, lingering only long enough for the other girl's message to reach Juno and Hugbell before she kicked off the icy ground and into the air. The distance was shorter than it would have been unhindered -- although she was a few years older than the pink-haired girl, Rea's athletic frame could not compensate completely to the weight of another human being, even one as light as Chibi. Still, it only took her a few more shorter leaps to reach the rooftop, Pegasus panting a little through her nose, the exertion well worth it to have her newly self-appointed charge away from the battle.

Glancing down at the form in her arms, then back to the crumbling ice queen, giving Kaguya as cool a stare as even the ice queen herself could give.

With everyone running around, it was nearly impossible to keep track what was happening now or next. Val had her hands full trying to protect herself. She struggled to land the offensive but the ice simply wouldn't break. Was this queen ever going to die, she wondered. Attacking her simply wasn't enough!

The glimmer within Kaguya's eyes intrigued Val; rumors among the crowd was that it was a crystal.

She had never felt a crystal's star signature before-- though she had heard of it at their last meeting with Captain Zinkenite. A smile crossed her face, "Interesting." She murmured in a sly tone. It would make for fabulous Christmas gift for their Queen.. On the offense, Val struck at the base mercilessly with her staff. She might have begun to climb as others would have but as she had learned once before...

Boots did not go well with ice. It was quite the tragedy.

Days like this were when Scheelite cursed his love of things like fingerless gloves and fishnet. Neither provided much in the line of protection against the cold, and he could swear his fingers were frozen underneath the fabric and metal spikes of his gloves. But..at least -frozen- it didn't hurt them nearly as much when he punched things.

He was sure he'd be feeling it the next day though, when he was all thawed out.

Another hit on the 'enemy' ice brought back a glove with fragments of ice stuck upon the spikes. Growling a bit Scheelite shook his hand to try and dislodge it, to no avail. Oh well! It'd break on the next punch!

The Negaverser shivered violently as further wind was added to the assault. ******** ice queen thing, ******** -senshi-, and ******** crystal that just had to appear here. He may have been a party kid, but some things could throw even him into a foul mood. Freezing cold and surrounded by Senshi was a good one.

Still, he'd make the best of it! He lashed out at ice queen and Senshi alike, trying to keep all but his own side away from the crystal. Yes, he desperately wanted it for himself, but the good soldier inside said any victory for the Negaverse was a good one.

...He still wanted that ******** thing for himself though.

This wouldn't be the first time the senshi of storms came fashionably late to a fight club party, so to speak. She had received a phone call the last time a crystal revealed its menacing glow in Destiny City, and while she was able to lend a hand at eating cake then, tonight she'd only be catching the very end of the show. This was no longer considered preferably fashionable; embarrassingly, should have just stayed home and forgotten about it was much more descriptive of her dilemma.

While the voices that rang in unison within her snow-globe collection pierced her heart until it ached, she held a hesitation. It had been too cold outside, and she was still unsure if she truly wanted to give up one of the few things that allowed her to sleep peacefully and carry on into that warming beach breeze of her vivid dreams. It was selfish, she knew, but wasn’t she allowed to only consider herself from time to time, particularly during holidays where she should be spending with her parents and abuelos?

She knew the answer, even if she didn’t like it. Alba had to coax herself every step of the way: from layering up, to grabbing a few of the snow-globes (in the end, she couldn’t bear to part from all of them), to marching all the way to Town Square. Alba held a hope so fierce of good things to happen, that the beautiful lady of her dreams would really be the princess that they were searching for. That she would be wrong about her.

Those hopes were dashed as she saw the panic and chaos that lay before her around the fountain. She could hardly believe such a scene; it was just like the Convention Center, only so much worse. Whatever had been building up with each lullaby she cranked shattered, much like the snow globe that fell from her grasp should had done. Instead, it bounced from the impact of the snow and rolled down the hill.

This would be the time to consider turning around and going back. Unfortunately for Alba, she was not the kind to ignore her sailor soldier duties, however late to the problem she was. She transformed with silence and with ease as people held their attention towards the colossal ice princess, and she sprinted towards the eye of the storm. Alcyone recognized many people in the fray, all struggling to win the battle: her dear friend Pegasus, assisted by the pink-haired princess of the future. She gasped as Merope was flung into the air, without his intention; and….was that a clydesdale?

Despite the confusion of a horse amidst the battle, nobody surprised her more than her comrade Sailor Atlas. It had been a long time since Alcyone heard his attack’s conjuring words, and she was both proud and afraid from it. It couldn’t possibly be a good thing if her normally pacified friend felt it necessary to fight, but fight he did, and it inspired her to join him as well.

“I’m sorry,” she began, apologizing to anybody that would be hit by her wide-range attack. “Strike of Tempest’s Thunder!

Oh, so that little gem was important to all these terrorists? He couldn’t fathom why. What would terrorists want with a gemstone? Unless they all robbed jewelry stores, too.

After tonight, Paris didn’t think he’d be surprised by anything anymore.

It was pretty, though. He’d noticed that before. He didn’t know what the point of it was, or why everyone else seemed to go crazy about grabbing it first. It would make a very nice necklace, he decided, and after all the trouble these people had put him through tonight, he thought they deserved to be disappointed. It was their fault all this s**t was going on in the first place, wasn’t it? And now they thought they should be rewarded for it by claiming a pretty crystal as their own?

How completely selfish. Who did these people think they were?

Paris considered going for it. He was close enough. He could push people out of the way. He did push some jackass who bumped into him, too focused a grabbing the gem to notice an innocent civilian was standing right there. Paris continued to stare at it wonderingly, then casually stepped forward. Maybe if he moved just a little closer…

Stop, stop, stop, please stop…

Tinsel didn’t bother lifting her hands to wipe away her tears as she pressed her tiny forehead to the shattered cheek of her Princess, her hands still caressing Kaguya’s icy face, as if that would help her, as if that would heal her. The dancer already knew that she couldn’t do anything, knew that she wasn’t strong enough to help… She was already too injured, herself, to do much more than stay by her Princess’s side and whisper softly to her, as though that would make her suddenly come to her senses.

But nothing was working… Her Princess was completely out of her mind… She wasn’t thinking, wasn’t feeling it seemed. “Please… please, Your Highness… please leave this place… At least for now!” she begged, trying to convince her that it was a good idea. “You can get stronger and come back… You’re so hurt right now… Please, Princess…”

The tiny dancer shot a glare over at the other dancer who was just standing and doing nothing to help. “This is your Princess!” she cried at her, remaining perched on the princess’s shoulder, even as attacks kept being thrown at her. Things may not be as perfect as they could be, or even should be, but this was their Princess… They lived for her, and only for her…

She swallowed again, as though trying to build up her courage, before pulling away from clinging to Princess Kaguya’s face and leaping into the air, growing to full size once more.

“If you want to hurt my Princess, you’ll have to get through me, first!!” the dancer cried, her arms spread as she floated in front of the crumbling throne.

It took only seconds for her to receive a response.

Something was hurled at her, (an object? an attack?) but what it was, she wasn’t sure… She didn’t really have time to even think about it. Tinsel felt a crack along her pelvis, and then began to crumble, falling in pieces to the feet of her beloved Princess.

She wouldn’t be seeing the end of the battle… but with the last bit of strength in her heart, she hoped her Princess would see reason and escape before it was too late.

-It was amazing how simply a message could carry such weight, reassuring and pushing her simply because of who they'd come from. Before she could reply Pegasus was fleeing with the princess in tow, off to someplace safe and warm were she could rest much like she had after the Halloween masque. Her eyes turned for a moment to her new mini companion in arms, answering her voice thick with her Brazilian accent.- "She needs sleep now, so we do as she says now."

"Finish the battle but stay safe." -Her fist reached out in an action she'd learned not long before through some of the other girls on her volleyball team. Hand lingering, waiting for the tiny one to fist bump it back.- "We can do, just dodge and use all things around to help you."

Her storm hit fiercely. Anybody within a close proximity to Kaguya, including Sailor Alcyone herself, would feel the icy grasp of wind pick up and whip against their skin. What had started out as rain transformed into sleet in reaction to the freezing cold temperature, and while it stung, it wouldn't cause a remarkable amount of pain to anyone; most especially the ice princess. Alcyone had been worried that her attack would help her foe, but she focused her attention on the more important part of her supered storm: the lightning bolt.

It was difficult to aim, even up close, but she managed to directly strike her target with one bright zap! She could only hope that it was enough to counter the ice storm she had caused.

Istas looked slightly confused, as the other held out a fist. However she nodded at needing rest. "I'm glad she's okay." She replied with a smile.

She seemed to think and finally touched the fist with a curious look to see if that's what Juno was waiting on. "Right, I'll be careful as possible." She said with a nod. Looking around for useful things.

There was no time to question the commotion within Destiny's city, but one thing Clarissa knew for certain--

The snow globe had been but a mere deception.

A voice that beautiful and gentle could not have been such a monstrosity. A cruel and harsh existence as cold as ice itself-- Princess Kaguya. She had read the stories and legends but never had she imagined it would become reality. As she began to weaken and the ice cracked, Clarissa found her chance to escape.

If at that moment, she had left.. What might have happened?

She was stopped by the sight of the dancer shattering to the ground, as she begged her queen to flee. It nearly broke her heart to see such a tragic sight.

"Why?" came the soft whisper, as Clarissa fell to her knees. Tears began to well up in her eyes as she felt an inexplicable anger well up in her chest. Her hands gripped an ice chard, only to pathetically fling it at the queen before her.

"Why must everyone here fight?!" She screamed in a hoarse voice, what would result from these pointless deaths?

Braden MacCrimmon was a coward.

He'd come with his one snow globe and he'd even placed it at the fountain like everyone else. Like a good little lemming. But unlike everyone else, he hadn't stayed to fight when the s**t hit the fan. Oh. Hell. No. Even though he wanted to prove he was brave and even though the thought of how his father's face would look if he came home battered and admitting to being in a fight with a snow monster ... His father wouldn't have believed him anyway.

Braden MacCrimmon was a coward, but he wasn't heartless. Watching the whole thing as he huddled in his layers of winter gear from a safe spot behind everything- Denim blue eyes watched as one little Ice Ballerina threw herself before her Queen's throne and sacrificed herself for the sake of a few second's more life for "Kaguya".

It wasn't a bloody death, but the impact was the same. Unable to control himself, Braden let the tears fall as he stood up and turned his back on the whole ordeal. It was too much- And he shouldn't have been there to begin with.

That was how he left the battle. The same way he'd entered it- A coward. But he was glad to be it.

The wind had picked up yet again. What was with the overabundance of people who could screw with wind here? Geeze!

The next thing took him by total surprise though. The bright ZAP of lightning directly in front of him momentarily blinded the blonde captain. He staggered back, near-frozen fingers rubbing at his eyes and the sounds of the battle all around him muddled by the massive ringing in his ears.

He couldn't hear, he could barely see, and he was still right smack in the middle of a battle for a crystal, or perhaps their lives. One hand stayed up at his eyes, while the other re-summoned his guitar into his grasp. So help him god if anyone came near him they were getting a face full of electrified guitar.

At least until his vision cleared and he could figure out what was going on again.

As the temporary truce began to melt down in the presence of the crystal, Mica debated the merit of using the Amber crystal’s power. It was an admittedly brief debate. She was doubtful that the shield would protect anyone but herself, plus using it would reveal her as a crystal holder to the hordes of Senshi presence; not a good idea. Granted, her new pimp cane was not exactly inconspicuous, but she wasn’t going to push it.

Keeping her hand strategically placed to hide the large crystal on top, Mica whacked at every hapless civilian and bothersome Senshi that got in her way as she edged closer to Kaguya. If she couldn’t have the crystal, then any Negaverser would suffice, so long as a damn Senshi didn’t get their hands on it.

Pain. Burning, freezing cold pain bloomed on his body. Warmth ran down his body until little frozen fleck or deep red fell to the dirty snow at his feet. Most were superficial cuts, the glass and ice not going deep enough to dig in. But a few remained in his skin, digging in just enough to hurt, but large enough to be shaken out with some movement. Overall, as the senshi of hail stumbled back, his thoughts filled with hate and a desire to kill the one time friend in the shadows, was unmoved in it's need. The fresh blood was just a fresh reminder of why he had to kill Tanzanite, why he had to remove her. Take her down.
Why he had to kill her while he could. Kill her, before she could reach a power equal to his own.

A grim, sadistic, masochistic smile was on Castor's face, determination burned in deep blue eyes. Linarite didn't matter. Merope freezing didn't matter, the fallen Chibimoon didn't matter. Tanzanite mattered. Tanzanite was there, and she was distracted. Her eyes focused else where as Castor rushed forward, saying nothing.
Not until he jumped on top of her, hoping to slam her skull right into one of those pillars of ice. Right into a throng of the ******** snow globes that had pulled them together this once peaceful day."I'm going to kill you Tanz."
