Well, if it's not real You can't hold it in your hands You can't feel it with your heart And I won't believe it
Eveline Valdigraph Eveline's eyes widened when Dadrik came forth through the flame and attacked the guards in the room. She looked away when his sword went through the guard's chest and shuddered at the sounds that he made thought his blood. She closed her eyes as he worked on the guards. She was never a fighter and the carnage was making her sick.
Then she caught the smell of fire. Not like Dadrik's fire but fire that was burning up things and cheating smoke that was rising and filling the room. She started to cough and her eyes watered. "Dadrik!" She called out to him. "Untie me now! Let me take care of the fire down stairs! I can do that. If it doesn't get put out this place will cave in flames on top of Beatrix!" she yelled over the commotion. "Cut the rope! I can put it out before it gets too bad."
But if it's true You can see it with your eyes Even in the dark And that's where I want to be What a shame we all became, xxxxxxxxsuch fragile broken things, A memory remains, xxxJust a tiny spark, xxxxxxxI give it all my oxygen, XXXXXXXXXto let the flames begin, XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXOh glory... ~+~Beatrix~+~
Beatrix silently stared off in the the darkness. The pain from her wounds left by the whip sting making her very uncomfortable. Her hands that were changed above her head made tingled as they started to fall asleep. Her legs were chained around the ankles and they gave her enough room to stand on her own if she chose but at the moment she just didn't. Her ears lowered as did her head. Rage and hatred started to build up in her small frame.
She let out a scream of frustration and she started to thrash around in her chains. Sparks of her flame shot forth but they quickly died out with the last bit of her energy. She fell back into silence and closed her eyes. Her body shivered and her lower lip quivered to the cool temperature in the room. It was done on purpose to keep her body heat down which made it hard for her to summon her flame. She lived in this sort of condition of years so the cold was something she had experienced before.
"Right back where we left off aren't we now Bea. Now didn't I tell you if you rely on someone else you'll always end back here. You can't trust anyone...you can never fully be safe with that family around..You should have let me kill the girl..then you would have no reason to come back here." The voice said in the back of her head. "Shut up!" she screamed. Her ears twitched as she heard the yelling of he guards down the hall but nothing they said made any sense to her. Their words started to blend together in her mind forming some sort of jibberish to her. "~I can't take this anymore...I just want to sleep...~" she whispered but not in her normal common tongue. It was in her eleven tongue now. She picked up the faint scent of the smoke but didn't put another thought into it.
Memories of her time before in this place flashed through her mind making her cringe and leaving behind a headache. Her ears lowered and let out a soft whimper. She could smell and taste the blood she had spilled the day that she had escaped from him. She couldn't remember her doing but she remembered the result of her crime. His body mangled and slashed from head to two. The blood on the walls, her body, in her mouth. She let out an uneven sigh and tried her best to get comfortable in some way that she could for the time being. She didn't know when Eve's brother would return but at least now she could try to sleep. I should have stayed in bed with Dadrik...it was so comfortable there...and warm...I want to go back there. It was the thought until she fell in to unconsciousness

No sleep No sleep until I am done with finding the answer Won't stop Won't stop before I find a cure for this cancer Sometimes I feel I going down and so disconnected Somehow I know that I am haunted to be wanted . Dadrik's stance did not move one bit. His nose took in the scent of the fire burning. This would be a bit of a damper on things. He could choke out the flame with his own flame but then the guards would be a hassle. 'Maarick I would appreciate some help.' He thought echoing it through they're communication. Dadrik's head shifted toward Eve when she shouted at him. She would deal with it? But how? Does she have some sort of power? He had to see this. But there was no time. As he was about to make his way toward Eve to help his eyes widened and he shifted his head to the doorway. He felt something just now....just as he felt when Beatrix was training with him. Although they were a bit apart they were still in the same house. "Wh...at..." he accomplished to get out. There were a few guards in the way between him and the doorway. His sword vanished in a burst of flame and he started to circle his arms and hands, moving his upper half of his body. Moving elegantly but at the same time it looked dangerous. As he moved his arms and hands, black flame embers followed his movements. He finished by pushing his arms outward causing his flame to push out and engulf the ones who stood in the way, incinerating them. No sooner then the flame died out, his body became a blur as he ran out the door. He was not moving as fast as he could but the guards wouldn't of noticed in the outburst. He had left Eve there tied up, but only because he knew she would get out because of something on it's way.
Dadrik made his way through the hall then down the stairs, actually running past the flames. He was making his way through the house to the basement, where Beatrix was. Only reason why he knew where he was going was because of her sent. " Hold on Beatrix. I'm coming.." He finally made it. Breaking through the door he saw her hanging by her arms, and chained at her feet as well. " This is wrong...he's...going to ******** die." He said lightly. Her mind seemed to be absent right now, meaning she was unconscious. Dadrik came slowly walked up to Beatrix, rubbing the back of his hand on her cheek. "No....no.' He said shaking his head slightly, his eyes started to swell with tears. He lifted his arm up to his side bring forth his sword. Two quick strikes that could barely be seen. The cling of breaking metal echoed through the ground and on that sound Beatrix started to fall. Dadrik quickly put his hands on her back and under her legs catching her. As he caught her, he fell to the ground sitting opened legged with her sitting infront of him. He put his arms around her, trying to warm her up. Dadrik's black flame emanated from his back then came from it and circled them making a sphere of black flame, with them in the middle.
 Maarick noticed Eric following him after he took the money out of the pouch. He was going to pay for the meal as well but he had already left the money. Maarick slightly looked over his shoulder as Eric followed and asked his questions. "You must be watching Beatrix. I only say this because you only say you think My brother is involved. Considering you can't see my brothers actions." He stopped and turned to face Eric, his look was calm but not worried. " I already know, that is why I got up and started to leave. Something has happened, I see it through my brothers eyes. But I wouldn't worry about him. Especially since Beatrix is in trouble. To protect her, he'll go to drastic measures.....do what he has to if it means saving her. Infact....you may want to be worried about the rest of the Valdigraph's more then him or Beatrix." He said with a nod turning away from Eric. " If you want to see whats going on, Go to the Valdigraphs house. I cannot wait for you to follow, I must get there quickly. Sorry to have to leave you like this but Come if you want to." He said shooting one last look over his shoulder at Eric. Right then his body flickered into nothing.
As Dadrik dashed out the door, leaving eve it would seem to anyone else that he was abandoning her. But before he even made it out the door, another body flickered into place where Dadrik once stood. Maarick showed up his scythe out and held to his side with one hand. He slowly looked over to Eve. Maarick lifted up one of his arms to his chest clenching his fist. At this point the wind started to be pulled toward him. As his arm tensed he pushed outward with his hand and the wind stopped being pulled toward him, but instead it was forced outward. Pushing everyone back, besides Eveline. Maarick lifted up the scythe toward Eveline and brought it down toward her wrists. It embedded into the chain and chair. He then quickly did the same thing to the other one. It was so close to her wrist. It was pinpoint precise considering the amount of space there was between the two objects. " Eveline I suppose?" He said with a Bow of his head. "Introductions later, You said you would deal with the fire. I have faith in you, I will deal with the guards. But, I must insist, please hurry." He said turning to the guards and taking a few steps. As he stopped, Maarick brought his scythe up twisting the handle making the Blade in a slanted position. He then brought his free hand to the rod of the scythe, holding it with both hands.

Selael The Pyromancer
"It's the Quiet Ones you have to watch out for..." Selael watched... Chaos, absolute chaos. Just what happens when idiots with no self-control are exposed to danger; they panic and run around like ninnies. Perfect... He slowly approached the house as the panic and chaos ensued within, holding his hand out at the top of his house... He then muttered the incantation "Ignus." After he did so, he released a spark that flew to one of the walls, then rapidly exploded, creating a hole in the wall for him to walk through.
Selael walked through, pulling out a red handkerchief and wrapping it around his face, then tied the back of his hair and stuffed it into his robe. He looked around, watching himself either for the guards or for the two girls that were kidnapped... Not that it mattered, though. He was more looking for the guards and whoever employed them. Chances are though, with the house being torched, they'd probably die off anyway. Dirty thieves deserved exactly what they get.
The Pyromancer held out his hand, noticing that most of the guards have been scorched anyway... He pulled out a bag of sand, pouring it out and casting his Ignus spell, turning the sand into a spike of glass, looking around the room for someone else who would be nearby, keeping silent and scanning the room with his glassy, cold eyes as the house burned down...
He reached out his hand and used another Ignus spell nearby, a massive explosion echoing throughout the house, as though trying to flush out the person responsible for the kidnapping and kill the mastermind behind the attempted theft of the feather... Two birds with one stone. He held out his hand and used Ignus another time, this time destroying one of the support columns... If this doesn't get the attention of the employer, who knows what will.

Well, if it's not real You can't hold it in your hands You can't feel it with your heart And I won't believe it
Eveline Valdigraph Eveline watched Dadrik run out of the room and she opened her mouth to call after him when she heard another voice. She looked over to find a man with a scythe. When the man said her name she gave him a slight nod. Green...The Emerald Reaper? She thought as he cut the rope around her wrists. She quickly got up and nodded to him again. "Thank you." she said and she quickly ran out of the room. Instead of using the main entrance stairs she used the servant stairs to reach the lower floor which brought her to the kitchen.
She took a breath and exhaled while her own body temperature dropped. She placed her hand over her heart summoned coolness from her core to her hands. There she started to dump any water source she could find on the floor. Her water ability was not as strong as her ice ability so any help from her surroundings would make it easier to create and manipulate. Then walked out of the kitchen and down the hall where the flames where sprouting and enveloping the household. The water that she had dumped on the floor followed behind her as she walked. She used the coolness in her hands ran her hands along the walls where the fire hasn't touched creating ice. Though it didn't last very long. The heat of Seleal's flames quickly melted but it didn't worry her. At the moment she needed water. She then started to her hands and body in a fluent motion and manipulating the amount of water in the room making it grow. She then motioned towards the flame with her whole body and water formed wave crashing into flames and putting them out.
Eveline started to cough though. The Smoke was making it rather hard for her to breathe. She ripped off a piece from her finally tailored dress and tied around her mouth and nose in an attempt to help her breathe. She continued her movements trying to put out any flame that she came across. Though the smoke she saw a man that had a red handkerchief over his face. He must be the cause of this. She thought. Anger sparked in her and she sent the wave of water direct at his lower legs and feet. As soon as it make contact it froze. "You Idiot!" she yelled over the commotion and flames that still ate away at her house. "You're going to kill innocent people in here. They did nothing to you! Are you that heartless or just stupid?"
Beatrix felt her body fall then being lifted. For a few moments she didn't stir. Her body was cold and she had stopped shivering. Dadrik's voice echoed in her mind causing her to stir slightly. She felt warmth from his fire and body around her. Her body started to shiver once again, trying to warm itself up. She rested her head against him and gently grabbed on to his clothing. Her eyes opened a bit and she looked at him. She was far too tired to keep them open and her vision was too bury. Trix tried her best to give him a smile but it was weak. One of her cold hand slowly reached up and touched his cheek. "I'm sorry, Dadrik...I should had woke...but you seemed to be sleeping peacefully..I was only going to be gone for a little bit..I didn't want to bring any more trouble on to you.."
Then something in the back of her mind gripped her and pulled her into her darkness once again. Her eyes closed and grip loosened slightly but her breathing was soft and steady. Her hand slid off his cheek and fell to her side. Her body shivered and slowly was gaining some warmth again. The wounds from the whip didn't seem to bother her much anymore but they still bled on to her clothing. The fear of being kept in the darkness again had faded from her mind and she seemed content for the time being.

Selael The Pyromancer
"It's the Quiet Ones you have to watch out for..." Selael stood still for several moments, being kept in place by the freezing of his legs. He seemed to ignore Eveline, though. His quarry nears... She had her miraculous escape, and the two over-endowed idiots managed to get here in time. It was nothing important. The hunt awaited... He held out his hand and muttered, his voice distorted by the mask.
"Ignus." He released another spark, the tiny flame heading swiftly for another support column. As he flipped his hand upward, the flame expanded rapidly... If doused, it wouldn't cause any fire, but the force of its expansion would likely break the column, or at least damage it heavily. The first guess Eveline made was more likely than the others... Heartless. He had to be heartless... Not that rubes like them could possibly understand. They know nothing about having to actually sacrifice something of their own for the sake of something greater... They never truly lose anything.
The fool, the blue-haired girl focused on insulting him rather than putting out the fire. If she was so concerned, why did she not put out the fire instead of jeering at him? Idiot. All of them, idiots... He pointed his hand down, muttering the incantation, Ignus, and having a flame dance around his feet for a time, hoping to melt the ice. If she was anything like the other over-endowed idiots, though, there was probably some idiotic trick behind it to make it so fire can't melt ice.
He then looked at Eveline with those cold, doll-like eyes that seemed to reveal no heart behind them... Though on some level, he was hurt. He knew just what he got into becoming a guardian of the Royal Secrets... It was thankless work. The authorities overlook his actions, but in the end, that was essentially his entire existence, both a blessing and a curse to be completely ignored by the Kingdom... No seat as a noble, and yet no prosecution from the Royal Court. He's never scolded for his actions... And never thanked for protecting his charge. Looking away, he then held out his hand and muttered Ignus once more, blowing a hole in what remained in another wall... He'd find the ringleader and destroy them, whatever it took to do so...
One less fool to worry about.

Tell them all to never fear Tell them what they want to hear Tell them all the blissfull lies Watch them leave with hopeful eyes... Eric Halen Your Fortune awaits --------------------------- "He just left." Eric stated to himself as he wached Maarick flicker away. He stood still for a a moment, contemplating his next action. Was he to go to the Valdigraph house? Was he to back off and leave it? He was already far to invloved to just back out now. On the other hand, if no one knew about Eric, no one would worry about being watched by a skilled psychic who was always getting better. That would also make it a lot safer for Eric. Eric thought about it, weighing out the pros and cons, trying to evaluate his situation. As he worked on making a decision, he predicted that he would meet more bizarre or interesting people at the Valdigraph house, but would be in much less danger if he stayed away. He narrowed his eyes, staring off into space. Everything mesured out, and Eric had finally chosen his next course of action.
Rapid footsteps sounded on the road as Eric sprinted over to the Valdigraph house. he didn't really want to go deal with nobles, but something told him he'd have little to do with them on this particular visit. Nobles had always irritated him in his childhood. They were rich, and pretentious, and thought themselves higher than the people who had to actually work for a living. Eric found himself not knowing why he had chosen what he had. What he did know was that he couldn't bury the incident with the feather. He couldn't bury memories of the castle halls, and Beatrix. He couldn't bury how he had abused his ability to convince her to let him go along. What he could do was try and accept that those things had happened, and make sure that they turn out for the best.
The heat struck without warning. Eric could feel the fire before he saw it. Turning a corner, he saw what he knew to be the Valdigraph house burning up. Though not really surprised, Eric was still unsure of how this happened, and what he was going to do next. He didn't think about it. He just went off impulse and ran towards the entrance. He knew that he couldn't risk dealing with any guards, so he did something that he rarely did. He took his crystal ball from his cloak and held onto it tightly. Instantly, he could feel it. Not exactly power, but an extra boost of confidence that comes from power. "Move it! Let me in!" He commanded, adding his psychic influence to the mix. Unlike his previous attempts without the crystal ball, in which the ordered party would have a small amount of doubt in what they were being told, this ordered was obeyed without thought or question. The crystal ball that Eric clutched increased his psychic output. Of course, more psychic energy used, more exhaustion. Eric would feel the drawbacks soon enough. Right then, what mattered was getting in the building. He plowed though the doors, ordering guards to stand perfectly still and not move, hoping that they would listen. The chance that they would disobey was fairly low though, so Eric didn't worry about it too much. "Hello!" He called out, looking for someone that wasn't a stupid grunt. "Anyone need some help?" He looked around for anyone that was in need of assisatnce. maybe he could save them then use the gratefulness to get some sort of payment. That seemed like a good idea. Unfortunately, that didn't work to well. As he raced through halls, stairways, and more halls, he found himself with no idea of where he was in the building. No idea of what wing, floor, or anything. He stopped for a moment, already starting to feel tired out from the running and the mind influencing. Suddenly, he saw a wall be blown out. He jumped back, shocked by what he just saw. He peered into the hole, and saw a man in robes, and a woman. That woman seemed familiar. Was the Valdigraph daughter perhaps. Her clothes seemed too good to be any lower in class. That had to be it. His face changed slightly to show his curiosity. ...Let them waste their wealth on you though you say what isn't true Go and live to your delight The fortune teller strikes tonight

No sleep No sleep until I am done with finding the answer Won't stop Won't stop before I find a cure for this cancer Sometimes I feel I going down and so disconnected Somehow I know that I am haunted to be wanted . Dadrik's swelled eyes became overflowed just after she spoke and fell back into unconsciousness. That overflow turned into a tear, falling down his cheek to fall off of his chin and hit Beatrix's cheek. He could feel the blood coming from her back. Slowly and gently he lifted her up as she sit in his lap. His hand started to radiate with a white aura and he ran it across her back, healing it. But the pain would still be there a little when she woke. He then got out from behind her and lightly set her down on the ground. As he laid her down his teeth clenched at the sight. His body started to shake. " That b*****d...will pay...With his life...I'm going to wreck it." He muttered under his breath. " I promise you this Beatrix. I won't loose you...Not again....I won't loose someone again.." He said standing up. The flame opening up for him to walk out. As he exited the fire, it closed back up and formed a tighter sphere around her. Almost like a cocoon. Dadrik stopped just before the door and closed his eyes. He lightly opened his mouth and took a slow breath. At the same time he barely stuck his tongue out and licked his top lip. His eyes quickly opened and he clenched his teeth. This time, his body flickered and not just blurred off like when he left his Eve and his brother. Dadriks body flickered into place infront of a doorway. At this point the smoke began to die down it would seem. Inside the room, before Dadrik went in, a man seemed to be doing something within. The gravity began to increase even through the door. Dadrik was pissed, he wanted to destroy this man but instead he was going to play with his mind, and make him suffer for the rest of his life. Much better then just killing him. As the gravity got heavier, he made his move. He put one hand on the door and it ignited in black flame. Pushing forward with his energy flow, the door bursted in a explosion. The concussion pushing roughly through out the room. In the midst of the explosion, Dadrik slowly walked through the door. His eyes engulfed in his black aura as well as little strikes of electricity flowing around his body every now and then. This was a sign he was ready to open up his percentages. " Is your whole family demented or something. Or are they just to ******** stupid to leave well enough alone. You just want trouble to head to your stupid name don't you." He said acidicly as he walked toward the man.
 Maarick eyed Eve as she left but once she was out of the picture he eyed all the guards. "I don't have time for this." He said feeling the fire start getting worse. The guards started to come closer at this point. There were about 9 more left in the room. Who knows how many more were waiting. But it seemed none were in the hall. Everyone must be running from the fire. As they started to come closer, Maaricks body flickered for an instant. His scythe now at his side after it did. All the guards stopped in mid step. They're eyes started to roll upwards. Moments later they bursted into a gush of blood and crumpled to the ground. Maarick looked at the bodies for a moment then started to walk out the doorway. Slowly he walked through the halls, the wind around him starting to swirl around him. As he came across flames the wind left his body and engulfed the flames, killing them by taking the air supply that the fire used to burn. Choking it, never letting it get any air. This continued to happen as he walked down the halls till he reached a place were the flames barely were, only to find a man, no Eric standing outside a door looking into it. " You run pretty quick Eric." he said with a slight bow. He was not smiling as he did before when they were talking. This was a look of seriousness and annoyance, but not of Eric. Of the man with Eve. " Excuse me please, I must get into that room. " He said walking over to the door. He put his hand on the knob and turned it. Maarick pushed the door open and walked infront of Eric through the door. Maarick's eyes quickly made they're way toward Selael as he blew a hole in the wall.. " You know Selael..." he said as the wind began to swirl viciously around him, then pushed outward and attacked every flame, except the one around Selael's feet, killing them by giving on oxygen to burn. " I gave you the benefit of the doubt. I took in to account what your family has done, how you protected the secrets and precious items of Aden. But your callous attitude toward people, your insensitive actions you take...they are getting out of hand. Your going to far.... Your jumping in before you get any facts. I'm not going to let it go any further. I know you have feelings, I've felt them. You throw them away like they are nothing. And from them I get that you are tired of something. You work in the shadows just as my brother and I do.... I know the feeling you are having. Not being able to be acknowledged by people.....not having people know what you are really doing for them. You don't think the rumors about us get to our hearts? We hide our feelings to you know.. but we do not forget about them.." He said stepping closer and closer till he was just a couple meters away. " But you see, We handle it very differently. You find us insufficient because we use our emotions instead of keeping them locked away."Maarick let out a bit of a sigh but his stare was emotionless. " Your not the only one that does things to protect secrets, to protect Aden. I've given up...so much for what I do.....we all have. So I'm guessing you have done the same thing for your job. Your job is your life, I understand that....but." He said lifting his scythe with one hand and spinning it in to where the blade pointed up. He then lifted his arm a bit higher and put the point by Selael's neck. "As I said, I cannot let this continue. If you need a lesson taught....I'd be more then glad to Do so." Maarick said in a calm voice, but threatening never the less. He knew this would not alter Selael, but if necessary, He would drag him from this place...

Eveline Valdigraph Eveline's anger grew as the man completely ignored her. She started for ward at him, not to attack but to get his attention. Why in the world is he attacking my house like this?! she thought. If he keeps this up the whole place will collapse killing us all. Beatrix is down below...everything will cave in on her....what is he looking for?! She was just about to summon more of her ice when she heard Maarick speaking. She stopped her tracks and looked back at him just as he started to suffocate the flames.
She quietly listened as Maarick spoke to the man and she really had no idea what he was talking about. She threw her hand sup in the air. "I don't care what ever secrets he is trying to guard. Nothing is here!" She said out loud. Her eyes focused on the man whom Maarick called Selael and pointed to him. "Whatever your after you won't get it here. We don't have any silly 'secrets' of Aden in this house. Whatever they are... You are charging into a house of Nobility." Even after this is all said and done the house was still needed to live in and not to mention all the valuable books and documents that belonged to her family was still in here. She couldn't let them burn up or get destroyed. Her gaze shifted to Maarick. "I'm sorry...but if you are planning on 'teaching him a lesson' Sir Reaper then please take it out side. Anymore damage to the house and it will come down on all of us. There are still things here that cannot be destroyed and Beatrix is in the basement...This place will cave in on her. So I ask again. Please take it outside." Then turned away and started to walk toward the door way to get out of the way when her eyes fell on the other man that was in the room. Her eyes met with his for a moment and she studied him for a moment before looking away. As long as he's not harming anyone aright now she wasn't going to worry about him.
~~~~~~~~~~~ Upstairs the Nigel spun around and found himself facing Dadrik. Damn...he thought and he took a step back. "What are you upset about? My sister is my own problem and the slave was ours to begin with. She was just happened to be there when we picked Eveline up. Two bird with one stone.." He gripped on to the hilt the sword in the sheath on his belt. "Our name is widely known..not just here in Aden but in other places in the world. I will do whatever it takes to keep up that reputation, whether is to take control of my family or lock away a simple slave in order to destroy something that haunted us in the past." He then swiftly pulled out his blade and sprinted towards Dadrik at a surprisingly quick pace. Nigel was known for his swordsmanship in the family. He figured if he could take down the Phantom Blaze then it would sky rocket his reputation with his skills.
 But if it's true You can see it with your eyes Even in the dark And that's where I want to be
Selael The Pyromancer
"It's the Quiet Ones you have to watch out for..." Selael looked at Maarick, dismissing him, once more, as an idiot. He blathers on about the value of emotions... His father did the same thing. He used to listen to him until he saw just what your kindness gets you... He made it out, once again, as if he never uses his emotions. Untrue. He did just now, and he's done something with a degree of foresight; he destroyed the home of a noble house that tried to steal the Feather. He was sending a message to the Thief Guilds of the world: No one got away with trying to steal the feather. NO ONE. Anyone foolish enough to try would be struck at hard and mercilessly, and everything held dear to them would be obliterated as well. He finally responded to Maarik.
"Really the long-winded one, aren't you. I was dispatching of some hooligans, nothing more." He shrugged it off as though nothing happened, and as though Maarick was overreacting, which, as far as he was concerned, he was. Although, he did not see the greater purpose behind it. Typical of someone who allows their emotions to cloud their judgment. He saw, however, that his flames would swiftly become useless here. What a nuisance... However, it would not stop him from reaching his quarry. He then addressed Maarick, pulling out a bag of sand, loosening a rope tying the bag shut.
"I'm tempted to laugh... I suppose it's to be expected." He shook his head slowly... If he were anyone else, a snicker would accompany the shaking of his head, or maybe a smile. "As usual, you don't really see the big picture, what a pity... Think about it, for a moment. Why would I follow a group of cloaked hooligans to a house and incinerate their quarters? With the Feather being moved soon... Think about it. Why would I do something like that shortly before the FEATHER is being MOVED?" He seemed to put a lot of emphasis on the fact that the Feather was being moved... In any case, he opened the sand bag, readying himself to perform his strike. He threw the sand out behind him, then using his Ignus spell beneath his feet, flames erupting from beneath his feet and going into the Sand. The Sand was being converted into Glass Shards by the fire, then the flames detonated, though not with much force. However, it was just enough to launch it into a Maarick's wind currents... He was hoping that the Shards would ride the currents and then find themselves embedded in the cronies of the thieves holed up here, or even better, in the Ringleader.
"I'm really starting to get tired of you riding about on your high horse. Just because you're endowed with unnatural power, doesn't make you superior to everyone else in every way. You condescend to me as if I didn't think this through, and what's worse, you try to lump your experiences with mine, as if we do the exact same thing with identical experiences. The fact is, we don't, so you have no right to criticize my actions. In burning down this house, I have eliminated a group that would attempt to take the feather. Even if they didn't, the Thieves' Guilds or other conspirators of the world would hear of this one way or another. And best of all..." The sound of glass shards piercing... Something sounded throughout the manor. "...The Ringleader is likely either roasted to a fine crisp or impaled. Or if he isn't... He soon will be."
Selael let out a heavy sigh... One could almost see a smile of accomplishment on his face, though it wasn't actually present.
"Self-control really takes one far."
((Dadrik is not in the room with Selael, Only Maarick. Dadriks with nigel.))
((Oh, and by the way? It says the sound of the shards piercing... something echoed though the house. Is it the pillar or did you leave it open for something someone else had in mind? I'm not sure. I don't wanna post without knowing that.))
No sleep No sleep until I am done with finding the answer Won't stop Won't stop before I find a cure for this cancer Sometimes I feel I going down and so disconnected Somehow I know that I am haunted to be wanted .   Dadrik let out a short winded sound, a laugh of sort. This man was worse then The father indeed. " Your an ignorant fool." He said as the man came at him sworn drawn. Dadrik's hand tensed and his fire ignited quickly forming into his sword. Bringing it up he brings it up with one hand pointing down. He then struck his sword sideways, or more so he moved it infront of him to block Nigels attack. As the metal clashed, he diverted the sword and moved to the side smoothly twirling out of the way letting Nigel's weight continue moving him past Dadrik. "Your name? Your name would be better off without the so called 'Men' Running the house hold. Your sister would do a better job then any of you idiots could do. Your name is not only known for 'good' things your family does. Anyone with a right mind knows the kindness....the good thing your family has done are cover ups to what your family is truly like.... selfish and stupid." Dadrik said in mocking tone. He was going to mess with this guy, bring him up just to tear him down. Nigel would think he had a chance, think he hurt him.......just to have it back fire.
 EDIT Maarick closed his eyes and shook his head. " You are such a misinterpreting fool...." He said to him as he made the shards of glass. "You claim I see no big picture, but I understand what your trying to do. On any other occasion." His body flickered before he could finish his sentence though. The sound of the shards piercing something was not of wood or metal, but the sound of flesh. Maarick could of directed the shards if he had more time, but they had already taken to the flow of air, making it where he had no time to direct the wind else where. So he did what he had to to keep it from hitting the column he placed his body infront of the shards. Taking them all in the upper left abdomen, right below the ribs. Maarick clenched his teeth and slightly squinted his eyes in pain. But the wounds did not bleed, instead it seemed like the blood swelled in place. But never the less, he felt the pain. The wind died down and Maarick looked over to Selael, his face twitching slighly. He brought one hand and grabbed hold of one of the shards and held on to it. " On any other..." he took a breath. " Occasion, I would not care you burning down a building. But there are innocents in here. Your willing to sacrifice them for a mere example...one that may not even get across. I get what your doing, I don't find myself better then anyone.....Your just to hot headed, to stubborn to see anything other then what your idiotic little mind has set. Your close minded... Sure you will burn this place down, make a warning to whoever tries to steal the feather that they won't get away with it...but that wont stop people...it never does. Infact they could retaliate and leave you in a predicament you won't like.. " he said pulling one of the shards out. His body trembled for a moment. He then dropped it and grabbed another one and took a breath. " Your not going to get rid of this family by a mere fire, And they could have escaped before it was to late. So therefore you would of never taken 'care' of the ones trying to steal the feather. Further more, I am not trying to lump our experiences together, I'm point out a fact in what we do is work in the shadows. If not for your lack of compassion for the lives of others, putting people that are innocent in danger...Like Eveline and the slaves, I would not care what you did. I would not bother intervening with you. But your mistake..." he said pulling out another shard and dropping it. " Your doing it when My brother is in the house...when A part of our family has been taken against they're will. By putting my family in danger is the main reason why I step between you and your goal to burn this place. " He reached down and tore the last one from his body and dropped it with a ting as it hit the ground. " You need not worry about who is next in line to be...'ringleader'. My brother is going to take a great deal of his time to make sure he gets whats coming to him.... " Maarick's body flickered and he was behind Selael, his scythe lifted up and curved around his neck. "Now you heard the lady, not in the house....I'd much prefure to take you else where and finish this. Or, you can walk out now which I'd also prefure.....Unlike you, I have compassion and use my emotions....I don't care weather you don't use your emotions or not...I don't care weather you find us obsolete because we use ours to guide us. I am not going to say I am not criticizing you, because I do have a disagree with how your going through with this. I care not weather you think that I am an idiot, that I have no clue what I'm speaking of, that I don't understand what your doing. And most of all I don't care if you think that I am a condescending, especially when it comes from a hypocrite. When your to stubborn to understand any other perspective. I'm sick of how you treat others and feel as if they are expendable. And don't give me s**t about they are, or thats not what it is...because if someone got in your way you'd take them out like nothing.." he said as the wind began to swirl around them.
Tell them all to never fear Tell them what they want to hear Tell them all the blissfull lies Watch them leave with hopeful eyes...  Eric Halen Your Fortune awaits --------------------------- Eric nodded as Maarick complimented him in a manner. "Thank you." He said in reception. The thing that bothered him about how it Maarick said it was that he didn't smile. Eric almost took the look on Maarick's face as a sign of frustration. Eric peered into the door when Maarick entered it, and watched the interaction between Maarick and the robed man. Eric had gathered that his name was Selael. It seemed as though the man had no soul or something, as he never spoke with any emotion. It unereved Eric. He could read people's voice tone to tell how they were feeling, but that skill would do him no good when dealing with an emotionless man. Eric listened further to the exchange. Innocent lives at stake. Fools governed by emotions. Found insufficient becuase of emotions. Removing the ringleader and saving the feather. It seemed like a very interesting conversation. Then Ssuddenly, Maarick flikered. He heard a noise he had never heard before. He quickly found out that it was the sound of pierced flesh. It wasn't just any flesh that was pierced though. It was Maarick's. Eric gasped, but it looked as though he didn't need to. Maarick seemed fine already. Eric was getting more interested by the minute. Suddenly, he saw that Maarick now had the upper hand, as he flickered once more and had The robed man in a dangerous spot. Eric looked at the situation with confusion. He knew what was going on, but he had no idea what was going on.
"Burning buliding, people in danger, money going to waste. Is now really the time for that?" Eric looked at the two, trying to let them now that there were bigger things going on. "I'm sure this is may seem really important, but I don't have to be the way I am to know that fighting here and now ends in us being burned up." He sighed, and shook his head. Then something lese hit him. He had let the woman walk past him without even saying anything. How stupid of him. He tunred to follow her. "I'm sure you two can handle yourselves," he stated. "Please don't die. Already know enough dead people to fill a large book, don't add to it." He walked off after saying that. He had actually only known one person who had died, but he could write books upon books about it, if he was an author. That one boy. That one poor boy. What was his name again? Eric couldn't remember anymore. Was it bad that his face had faded from the pages of his memory, and that his name was smudged an illegible in his mind? Right then wasn't the time. He decided he would make sure the woman is okay. Maybe she'll go get a reading from him, and he'll get more money. It souded like a plan to him. He began to run, hoping that he could succesfully follow her. ...Let them waste their wealth on you though you say what isn't true Go and live to your delight The fortune teller strikes tonight
Eveline Valdigraph  Eveline she looked back at the man and titled her head to the side. He was following her. She could use the help right now actually. "Excuse me. Could you help me check the rooms in the house. I want to make sure that the servants are getting out. After all of this commotion..I'm afraid that house will still collapse...I need to make sure that we get ever out..along with some of my family records." she bowed her head a bit to show respect. "I would really appreciate it. If you wish to leave I understand."
She then turned away and walked into the servant wing of the house. She peaked into the rooms looking for anyone who still stayed behind. When she found some of the servant children hiding under a bed she tried her best to cox them out from their hiding place. "Come out. Please. If you stay under there you'll get hurt." she said in a gentle voice. One of the children, a young girl, crawled out and ran over to her, tightly gripping on to her. "There, there, " she said and gently patted her on the back. Eve shifted her gaze back to the bed. "Please come out." she tried again.
~~~~~~~~~
Nigel stumbled forward with this sword in his hand. He quickly caught his balance and trued to the man. He grinned his teeth and glared at Dadrik with hateful eyes. "Kindness? This world doesn't need kindness. That's only weakness. Eve showed kindness to the slave instead of keeping her in her place. Because of that the Slave survived. My brother should have killed her, instead he used it for his own entertainment. Then none of this would have happened. "
He gripped on to his sword tighter and charged at him once again. "You show kindness you show weakness and then thats when your competitors step over you. I'll get rid of that weakness. Eve is no longer a part of this family and that slave will never see the light of day when I'm done with her. She's going to wish that she was still in the care of my brother." He swung his sword at Dadrik once again.
 But if it's true You can see it with your eyes Even in the dark And that's where I want to be

No sleep No sleep until I am done with finding the answer Won't stop Won't stop before I find a cure for this cancer Sometimes I feel I going down and so disconnected Somehow I know that I am haunted to be wanted . Dadrik sighed a bit at this mans words. Yes, Dadrik could be cold hearted, stubborn, irrational and very cocky. But this man proved to be something different all together. He was cold and uncaring. To threaten Eveline, his own blood line, was getting to him as well as his words...his attitude. The way he thought just put Dadrik off to the point it angered him. Dadrik could be cold but no where near this man. But soon, this man would see how could he could be..how ruthless. And he would know this for the rest of his life. "Shut up you swine." He said lifting his hand up in the pathway of the sword,catching it. " I need not listen to your ignorance any longer."Right then a force of energy pushed from his body outward, enough to send someone stumbling back. But Nigel was prevented from doing so because Dadrik had ahold of his blade. The sword dug into his flesh as he slid it up the blade, to the point of his sword. Dadrik then brought his hand up to where the point was in the middle of his hand and pushed down. The sound was unsavory as his hand was pierced by Nigel's blade. But he did not stop just as it put a cut in his palm. Instead, he ran the whole blade through his hand and down the length of the blade till his fingers wrapped around the hilt of the blade as well as Nigel's hand, gripping him from letting go. " Your arrogant, thoughtless, and heartless. If you think for one moment that Beatrix was the cause of this you are mistaken. " He pulled him closer bringing his face just inches from his. " No, We were after you before I ever met Beatrix. Infact, We were coming to kill Your father when we first ran into Beatrix. We were not in that open field for no reason." He then let go of his fingers and slid his hand off of the blade but did not let it go. He gripped the tip and slid his hand down the length again but in his fist. " But she will be the reason why you suffer for the rest of your life...you think you can be ruthless, merciless....you should see how I can be." He said pushing back the sword with enough power to send him back.
