The Doctor's face became stern.
"No, you need your rest," he replied quietly, "your body is still recovering."
He placed a hand on her head and gave her a soft smile. "You can get in trouble later."

Ally looked at him seriously "Your going to wake up soon and I'll be here alone for hours in the real world but days in this world. Would you rather me be in pain physically or suffering mentally?"

"That's not a fair question," he frowned before giving a defeated sigh, "ok Ally, you win. Here, take my hand."
He focused his telepathic abilities to form a path out of the dream.

She took her hand and tightened her grip as a sign of thank you. She started to walk on down the path out of the dream. Just before they were close to the end she stopped and looked up at him. And placed her hand on his face tenderly. She transmitted many thing through her actions now without saying words.

The Doctor smiled at her and kissed her forehead before stepping through to the other side. He awoke slumped in a large comfortable chair facing Ally's bed. Outside, dawn was breaking once more.
"Good morning," he called out softly.

Ally's eye's opened slightly but she was blinded by the light. She heard his voice and opened her mouth to speak. "Hi" she muttered with a warm smile. She was overjoyed that she could hear her own voice again. She got up a little then fell back down as the pain on her side overcame her. She crindged and held her side but this time she did not scream out in pain.

The Doctor was next to her in a flash.
"Don't do that... don't..." he placed an arm on her shoulders. "Just relax, you need to rest. I don't want you reopening any wounds."
His eyes were gentle but worried.

Ally pouted, "fine, but what reward do I get in return for not moving?" she said while obviously not happy about not being allowed to move.

The Doctor raised an eyebrow then grabbed an apple from a basket on the bedside table.
"An apple a day keeps the... oh nevermind," he said eyeing the golden fruit and placing it on her tummy.

Ally laughed at him. "i guess I should eat an an apple a day then." she smiled playfully.

The Doctor smirked and sat on the edge of her bed.
"There are easier ways to be rid of me," he teased before thinking, "then again, eating apples would be a first."
He laughed softly before glancing at her. "How are you feeling?"

"On fire? What like literally?" The Doctor tilted his head and placed a hand on her forehead. His arm felt like something with jaws of steel had been gnawing on it and it hurt to move but he wasn't about to let her know that.

"Ya, that's Girmixian for you. When were wounded the body literally uses fire to repair itself. Our blood is after all half liquid fire" she laughed knowing that his hand was being burned and he din't want to show he was being hurt.

The Doctor quickly pulled his hand back from Ally's forehead glancing at it just to make sure he'd not been scorched.
"Odd... I never really met a Grimixian... I should have paid more attention," he said as he poured himself cold tea. As he stared at the cup in his hands his lips twitched in a smile and he placed the cup on Ally's forehead, "heat that up for me will you?"
