Shiara smiled. "I'm here to take you to your room," she offered. "I've already made up the bed, so once you move your things in, it will all be ready for you. I can help you to carry things, if you like."

It was one of the longest speeches she had ever made in front of other people, and it was a testament to how far she had come since joining the ranch.

"Quite a bit," Earendil admitted. "I've been collecting in preparation for the different weather we're going to be going through. The closet is fairly full, and the dresser, too ..."

It would take them a few trips to bring it all.

He smiled at Shiara. "Which room is ours?" he asked her.

Shiara picked up the book off the bedside table. "Come, I will show you," she murmured.

Earendil took his cue from her and picked up his bag so that he could bring it on this trip to the room. It would save them another trip later.

Shiara led them towards the stairs and up to the next level. It was the fourth floor, the highest one, and the only floor that had the larger beds. The rooms themselves were also larger, as were the closets and the rest of the furniture.

"Here you are," she murmured as they entered the room. "If you find that there's anything more that you need, just let us know. Or tell Haradhel, at least ... Ahren and I don't live here anymore, so I might not be able to help you as much, but Haradhel will be happy to get you whatever you might need. I only put one blanket on the bed, but the nights are quite cool ... if you need another, I can get another one for you ..."

Earendil smiled softly. "Thanks. I'm sure we'll be all right."

Shiara nodded shyly. "All right then. I'm going to help Haradhel with dinner, I'll see you downstairs when you're ready to eat."

And she set the book down and left them alone again.

Earendil smiled and set his bag on the bed. "Miyuki will probably be back by the time we go down for dinner," he commented. "We should try to work quickly."

"Which is good," Earendil chuckled, heading for the door again, "since we'll want to fit your things in here, too. If we're going to be here a few weeks before traveling, I'm sure you won't want to be living out of your bag."

For a few weeks at least, it would truly be their room. Filled with their things, and that reflected them.

"Though that does bring up the question," Earendil added, heading down the stairs again, "of the future ... I would imagine that we probably don't want to spend all of our lives traveling, that we would want to take breaks sometimes, and perhaps someday just settle. We would be looking at having a home of our own, and I was wondering if you had any thoughts on where we might look at building one?"

Earendil nodded thoughtfully. Both suggestions were very good ones. For himself, he would say the Borderlands, but that was because he had family here. Putting that aside, Amon Darthir was the place where Miyuki had many friends, so it might be the best for her.

"What would you think about checking out Caras Galadhon?" he asked hesitantly. "I mean ... I know we don't know a whole lot about it yet, but we know it's already a place full of mixed marriages, and Luk says it's very peaceful ... and with the technology that they have there, it might be more like home for you and Miyuki."

Earendil smiled. "Perhaps when Luk returns home, we should take some time to really get to know the place," he suggested. "Perhaps spend a year or two there. Get to know the people, the land ... I'm sure Shiro would want to spend at least that much time there."

If not more. Shiro was hard to pry away from certain places sometimes.
