Destiny Is Calling Me

Jumping as a blurry figure came into view, he scrambled backwards as it approached. As the girl drew closer, Solo was able to make out her figure much better. He froze as she went for his face, and it took him a few moments to realize that she was placing his glasses on his face. Blushing, he reached up to adjust them correctly, tucking his gameboy away in his pocket. Still sprawled out on the ground, he looks up at the girl to inspect her carefully. She didn't look dangerous, but that didn't mean much around these parts. "Th-thank you...." he stutters, his cheeks still faintly red in embarrassment. It took him a moment to remember her question, and after a moment, he nodded. "Y-yes....yes, I'm fine." he stood abruptly, brushing the dirt and leaves off his person. Reaching up, he dislodges a stick from his hair, running his fingers through it to try and straighten it out. Standing awkwardly, he glances around nervously before his eyes fall once more on the girl in front of him. "S-so.... why are you in the f-forest?" he asked, figuring he couldn't just make a break for it. After all, this girl had helped him, and it would be rude to simply run off.

Sayo couldnt help but mentally d'awww a little as the boy she helped quickly became flustered and shy looking, though she couldnt possibly understand why. She wasnt really used to other peoples reactions and didnt quite understand certain concepts just yet. Regardless, she stood back up to her full height, nodding as he commented on being fine and just barely watching as he dislodged various tree fodder from his hair. She cleared her throat softly, and reached out a hand in the traditional, 'nice to meet you' symbol of the west.

His question puzzled her, though, and she even ran it through a little. Her english was shoddy and his stuttering made it a bit tricky to comprehend, but she got it.

"...That good question. I... um... I lost," she answered, though with her accent it sounded more like 'rost' or something. She fiddled with the hem of her shirt with her free hand for a moment, before turning back.

"A-ano ne... I-I'm Sayo. Ishikawa Sayo. Nice to meet you, ah... You wouldnt happen know where school is?"

Destiny Is Calling Me

Hesitating a moment, he eventually extended his hand to shake hers. Withdrawing it immediately afterwards, he waited patiently for an answer to his question. He noticed her broken English and the accent, assuming immediately that she must be from the East. Sadly, he had only ever traveled Europe and knew no Asian languages to even attempt to communicate. Her English was good enough that he could understand, but he made a note to try and speak more clearly. He smiled faintly at her mention of being lost, knowing the feeling quite well. Solo nodded at her question, as he did know where the school was; he even knew how to get there. "I'm Solomon Griffith.... Are you a new student?" he questioned, motioning for her to follow as he moved back towards the school. He would attempt to make small talk until they got back to the school, though they were fairly deep in the forest; he had come out here to avoid the other students, but he wasn't about to leave someone who was lost all alone out there.

"Is nice to meet you," Sayo replied, making a quick note of his name so she wouldnt forget. Just in case. She nodded at his question, though she wasnt sure he was looking.

"Ah. Yes, I am," she answered quickly. She got the message instantly to follow Solomon and did so, walking roughly 2 paces behind him (not that she was counting). She vaguely wondered just how far they were from the school, or rather, how deep in the forest they were. Sayo had originally figured they werent far, seeing as there was a student out there, but now it was starting to look like she'd just interrupted a random boy trying to get some time to himself. She felt just a little guilty for that, but at least he was being nice enough to lead her back. Sayo made a mental note to do something nice as thanks later.

The silence began to get a teensy bit awkward, so Sayo began thinking of topics... It was surprisingly difficult. She wasnt sure what to ask about. At first she thought of asking what his power was or what he was, but she stopped herself, figuring that that was probably a very rude thing to bring up right away. Then she remembered the game. Maybe that would be a nice topic.

"Oh! Ah... What game you like play?" she asked, gesturing to the game in question.

Nodding to confirm he'd heard her, Solo continued through the forest; he was fairly lacking in the area of social graces, and so didn't try and force it. He didn't at all mind the silence, being the quiet type himself, but he understood when she finally found a topic to speak on. Even if there existed a slight language barrier, silence tended to be uncomfortable for most people. Glancing over his shoulder a moment, the Griffin smiles faintly. Since she had to find something, he was glad she had chosen video games. "Pokemon." he tells her, smiling faintly. Side stepping a large bush, he pulls back a branch, motioning for her to move past before releasing it to swing wildly back into place. He didn't quite trust her yet, but he saw no reason to disrespect her; even if he wasn't socially adept, he had still been raised a gentleman. "It's an older one, but I lost the one I just bought." he explained, giving something more than a satisfactory response. He didn't want to come off as cold, even if socializing was far from his favorite activity. Briefly, he wondered if she played as well; he supposed it was a possibility, but he held off on asking. "I like all sorts of games, though. Video games, card games, board games..." he trailed off, unsure of other sorts of games; sports were out, of course, as he wasn't fond of them.

Sayo's attention jumped at the name. Pokemon, to be precise. She immediately began groping around her pockets, apparently turning out that she had more than it looked like and quite a few things in them, judging by how she kept taking things out, glancing at them, and putting them back. Looking for something. She was still listening to his words, of corse, and she paused to go through the gap he so politely made for her under a branch before resuming her digging. Then, suddenly, a light went off in her head and she reached in a pocket on her scarf, pulling out a small yellow rectangle. According to the faded label, a japanese copy of Pokemon Yellow. She had english versions of more recent games, too, but they were hidden in a pouch in her bra and she felt it would be awkward to dig them out.

"Pokketto Monsuta~" She chirped happily, holding it up, just a bit proudly, for him to see.

Continuing to weave his way through the foliage, the blonde glanced back every so often to ensure she was still behind him. He raised an eyebrow as he noticed her digging around in various pockets, but didn't ask. He assumed she'd tell him eventually, or not at all; it didn't matter to him either way. As she spoke up, however, he looked back once again and smiled at the object in her hand. "Hey, I have that." he tells her, pleased that she seemed to like Pokemon too. "In English, though." he adds, though he figured that much was obvious. He did, of course, have a Pokemon game from each generation. Yellow was an old favorite, since it started with Pikachu, but he hadn't played it recently.

Sayo grinned, the area around her mouth giving off a faint greenish light in the dark until her teeth were covered again. She couldnt help but be a little happy that they'd found a mutual interest, which she felt melted the awkward ice that'd been sitting around the conversation, even if just a little bit. She fumbled a little, slipping the game back into the handy scarf pocket so she wouldnt drop or lose it; you had to be careful with older games or they'd break or mess up. She tugged the ends of her gloves up her wrist a bit, just for the readjustment (Sayo had always had a lot of trouble sitting still, and fidgeted a bit even when moving about) before looking back up.

It'd been too dark to see before, but just a pinch of light filtering through the trees hit Solomon's head in a way that made Sayo notice that he was, in fact, blonde (Before, she'd more assumed light brown). She faintly wondered if it was natural, but again, decided not to ask for the sake of being polite. She did, however, choose to ask something else.

"Oh, you have favourite pokemon?" she inquired.

Destiny Is Calling Me

Noticing the faint green glow, he raised one blonde brow in question, though didn't speak on the subject. They seemed to be noticing quite a few things about each other, though didn't ask questions. Unlike Sayo, however, Solo was keeping quiet simply because it had little to do with the conversation at hand. It would be rude to steer the question in a completely different direction, especially when he had just been asked a question. Stopping momentarily, he glances about the area swiftly before setting out at a slight angle from their current path. He had heard her question, and was instead considering her question. "Entei." he says after a moment, picking a Pokemon most like himself. There were, of course, no Griffin-like Pokemon, and so he had instead settled upon one that was at least part way there. "What about you?" he cast another, more direct glance over his shoulder at her. He couldn't hazard a guess as to what she might be, as nothing with glowing teeth came to mind, so he supposed it could be anything.

After having her question answered and reasked, Sayo had to think. She had a lot of pokemon she liked. He'd chosen the roaming legendary Entei, which seemed like a thoughtful choice, so she wanted to put an equal amount of thought in her choice. She liked dark types, ghost types, poison types... Aha! Finally, she settled on one.

"Haunter!" she exclaimed in an almost cheerful tone. Of course. The poison-ghost type had a certain appeal to her. Maybe it was the endlesss shuddering caused by it's lick, as stated by the pokedex. Or maybe she just thought it looked cute following her in HeartGold. She wasnt sure herself, other than the fact that it really was her favourite.

Sayo just vaguely noticed Solo giving her an odd look, even if just for a moment, and was just a teensy bit curious as to why (It never did occur to her that her glowing teeth might be a cause), but she didnt ask. The two seemed to be doing a lot of not asking, the sheer irony of it was just hilarious if you happened to be looking at it, but no one was.

Destiny Is Calling Me

It seemed the girl was taking time to consider her decision before speaking. He waited patiently, running over his own choice in his head. Entei was a fire type, right? He had no affinity for fire, but he supposed it was a fitting enough choice for him otherwise. Even though it was big and strong, while he certainly wasn't. Entei was noble and powerful, and Solo was scrawny and made a better nurse than warrior. Alright, so maybe the choice wasn't fitting at all, but that didn't matter, right? Glancing up as she announced her choice, he wondered what the Pokemon had to say about her; probably nothing, if his own choice was anything to go on. The forest had begun to progressively thin as they moved, and it became obvious that the blonde really did know where he was going as light became clearer in the distance. Letting the conversation fall, he emerged from the edge of the forest. Hands falling to his pockets, he turned to glance at Sayo. "Well, here we are. Welcome to Reed's." he didn't sound especially enthusiastic, but he did his best to smile lightly at her. He wasn't fond of schools, though he supposed Reed's wasn't all that bad. "Do you need help finding anything?" while he was hesitant to ask, he do so nonetheless; it was the polite thing to do.

Sayo flinched a bit at the light; being in the forest for so long had made her eyes sensitive. The school... It was so... big. Very big. Ridiculously so. It made her a bit awed, even. And worse, she knew where absolutely nothing was. Which made her nervous. She wasnt sure she wanted to let her new, er, aquantance walk off just yet. Especially not when he was offering help. She quickly drew a folded sheet of paper out of her pocket, and proceeded to thrust it into one of Solo's hands while she proceeded to cling to the sleeve of his other arm in a childlike fashion.

"I-I, ah, I no do know where these are," she stuttered, a sheepish and halfway embarassed blush crawling across her somewhat pallid cheeks. She then, with a slight flinching motion, realised she was clinging to his sleeve and quickly let go and withdrew her hand as if the inoffensive article of clothing had burnt her. Unsure what to do with her hands, she proceeded to clench them together in front of her solar plexus in a traditional pleading manner.

"Y-you show me, sh-shite kudasa- er, please?"

Destiny Is Calling Me

Looking at the strange paper that had been thrust into his hand, he twists it this way and that to get a reading on it. It appeared to be her schedule, but he wasn't totally sure. He opened his mouth to ask about it when she grabbed his sleeve, freezing him to the spot. Why was she touching him? Was this how people interacted? Was she flirting with him? Why? He nodded stiffly to her stuttered statement, jumping slightly when she flinched and pulled away so quickly. What the hell was going on? Taking a deep breath, the blonde ran a hand through his hair before adjusting his glasses as he surveyed the campus from their small forest opening. Honestly, he wasn't totally sure what she wanted exactly. To be shown somewhere, obviously, but he didn't know where exactly.

"I can take you to the Front Desk? They'll assign you a dorm where you'll be living." he offered, glancing at her cautiously. There was still a leaf lodged in his hair, and obvious dirt stains on his knees, but nothing bad enough to make him want to change first. After all, he had seen people running around in worse than this with no problem, and at the moment his appearance was the least of his worries.

Zoey had led David to a nice clearing in the forest using her noise. She kind of felt like a dog, but she would forgive the other creatures just this once. Once she was sure she was away from any eyes she turned to him and waited for him to do his trick.

David followed silently as she led the way to a clearing before she looked towards him. "Okay then. Here goes." He said to her with a kind smile. His body started to inflate and started changing color. Soon enough, what stood before the werewolf was a metal looking being with gears on his round body. "Well?" He asked, his voice now sounding a bit more robotic, but speaking in the same manner as his human form.
