Giving a short nod to her question, the man gave a wry smile. "It took a long time to convince our parents, but they finally agreed it was best. She'll be a junior in high school this coming semester." he explained, adjusting the book he was holding. He nodded again at her reassurances, taking such to heart. "I'm hoping that a fresh start will give her some confidence." his small smile was almost sad, as if there were plenty of stories injected into that one statement. The teacher was hoping that his sister would be more relaxed if she didn't have to hide their secret; he was also hoping that she would realize that this place was safe and somewhere they could set down roots. The only thing missing was their parents, and he was already working on convincing them to move to the city nearby. "I hope she can be happy here." the main reason he had applied to work at that school was to get his sister there.

"An Introduction for myself? I'm Bellatrix Solindo." As Emile explained more about his sister, she was able to draw a few sketchy conclusions about the two. One was that his sister was probably rather shy, if he was hoping for her to gain confidence. "I'm sure she will." she remarked lightly, having been reminded of one of her cousin's own quiet nature. It was that introverted cousin that brought Bella to teach here, and under her eye she watched the girl grow to gain plenty of confidence. "This school caters to students who need a fresh start." It was a magical school, after all. "May I ask how you and your sister belong in the veil?" By appearance, she wasn't able to guess their race, and whether he was human or not didn't really matter when it came to magic.

Smiling faintly at her remark, he was certainly hoping it would be true. His smile shifted a bit at her comment about a fresh start, silently hoping that those fresh starts also catered to teachers. He really didn't want to think about the life he had had before relocating behind the veil; it wasn't pleasant, and he and his sister was still suffering from it. At the other teacher's question, he paused to consider a moment. "We're shapeshifters." he answered after a few moments, his expression shifting only slightly; an imperceptible tightening in his jaw, a narrowing of his pupils. "However, we've never actually been behind the veil until now. Due to... unfortunate circumstances, my parents were removed as children. So, in all honesty, we don't all that much about the veil or any of the nonsense that goes with it." which would explain why he was teaching a subject on humans and nothing magic or veil related.

"An Introduction for myself? I'm Bellatrix Solindo." Settling the book securely in her left hand, Bella's expression lightened at the mention of his family being shapeshifters. She'd only met a handful of the race, and while her first encounter with his kind was not a positive experience, she knew very well that it depended on the person. So far, Emeli had seemed kind enough, if not a bit on the joker side. "That's interesting." she stated kindly, unsure of how to properly respond to his words. It seemed like there was a much larger story not being told, but she was content with skipping it; backgrounds were personal things, and she would never wish to pry. His last words gave her an out, and she returned to her amused tone. "Ha! Nonsense is probably the best description I've heard." She smiled, pushing the bangs from her face as she continued lightly, "I'm sure you'll be settled quickly. The veil can be so much more comfortable than the human side, all nonsence included."

His smirk returned at her comment about nonsense, and his lighter demeanour returned. "I honestly don't know how else to describe it. What with all these rules and magic and things I've never even heard of." his free hand raised and moved as if to wave away all these thoughts. It was far more complicated than he had ever guessed, but he was getting used to it. "It's certainly an interesting time settling in, but I'm already less stressed about blending in." he didn't really need to blend in any more; he didn't have to worry about his slightly odd hair colour, as he had already seen plenty of kids on campus with odd hair colours. Frankly, he was relieved to have his sister out of the often dangerous cities his parents had chosen to live in; Reed's would be a much safer environment for her.

"An Introduction for myself? I'm Bellatrix Solindo." It wasn't surprising to hear that there was stuff he'd never heard of, having lived outside the veil for most of his life. After seing how her adoptive uncle and aunt were forced to adjust to magical life, she was immensly glad to have been born within the veil. It made things so much simpler when one had special abilities. "Hm, nonsense is a good term. What with books trying to run away and all." She smiled, holding up her book slightly as a sort of example. Despite not admitting it directly, they both knew her book was one of those 'slippery' types. Sneaking a glance at the clock to her right, she had to refrain from sighing at the time. She'd promised to babysit, and the girl's school was going to end soon. Bella would have enough to time get to the city, but it seemed their chat would need to end soon. "Speaking of, I should probably check this one out before it gives me any trouble." She smiled, making do with the statement as her excuse for leaving. "I'm sure we'll run into each other again. It's was fun meeting you, Emile."

Nonsense was the perfect term, he believed, since the vast majority of the things he had had trouble with were certainly odd indeed. He smirked at her comment about books, giving a short nod in agreement. Hopefully, the book would not try to escape again and the woman would be able to enjoy it in peace. Taking note of her glance to the clock, he paid it no mind; he had nowhere to be until it was closer to dinner, as he had promised to take his sister somewhere. His smirk shifted to a more pleasant smile, and he nodded again. "It was a pleasure meeting you, Bellatrix. I'm sure we'll see each other again." Considering they worked at the same school, it was going to be quite likely. Due to her glance at the clock, she probably had somewhere to be; he didn't mind, of course, as he would certainly like to look about the library a bit more. He waved his free hand in a short wave of departure before moving back through the taller book stacks to wander.

After making sure Greator had settled Aurora down carefully on the ledge of the window Vera had opened, the half-elf took a step back and let Aurora come down herself but present of needed. "And I have some research to do." The half elf sighed, keeping her voice level and quiet. "It's my freshman year of college, but I haven't received any classes yet, so instead I do a lot of research. Four years here...and I'm still too nervous to speak to the teachers about taking classes." Vera thought about her fiancé and flushed a bit with a small smile, messing with her ring.

"That was a lie." Came a familiar man's voice. He was referring to the fact that she couldn't talk to any teachers. "You talk to me." He added with a smile as his face appeared from the other side of a book shelf. He pulled down a book before walking over to the table not too far away and putting it down. He had a stack of book already and it was learn that they were all in Chinese and Japanese. He was going to read these. "I guess I'm not a teacher to you am I." He teased his bride-to-be. "I feel hurt." He started to mock pout at her for those words and make her feel guilty.

Vera's blush darkened and she DID look upset for a moment, messing with her engagement ring nervously. Then she smirked. "What, I should have said OTHER teachers? Sometimes I don't exactly know what to say to you, either, Mr. Tiger..." Vera told him, face calm but her eyes were laughing at him. "Everyone you meet in life is a teacher, so there~ And it's not like I have a class with you...yet~...so to me, you WOULDN'T be my teacher. So nyeh." Sticking her tongue out for a moment at him, Vera gave Baihu a hug after she made her point. "Maybe you can start helping me learn Chinese, so I can include you in that list..." Vera suggested calmly, her own mocking tone in her words back to her groom-to-be.

 Peter came into the library looking frustrated and threw his stuff on the table and slightly paced back and forth with one hand on the back of his head 'what the hell just happened' he said to himself he sighed but winced from the insodent that happened in the cafetirea he had brusing on his face and scrapes he put his head in his hands elbows on the table and sat there "i thought I was sent here cause I was smart"

Having entered the library an hour prior, Ciel was seated at one of the tables with various books surrounding her; she had a notebook directly behind her, a mechanical pencil in her hand tapping her lip as she skimmed the contents of the book. She was researching shapeshifters, trying to find out more about her own kind and maybe even discover why her parents were running and who from. The girl jumped at the noise as the boy threw his stuff about, the lavender colour of her hair fading to a shadowy grey before shifting back; the pencil she had been holding fell from her grip, a small noise of surprise escaping her lips. Taking a quick breath, she turned her gaze upon the other student, taking a moment to study him. He seemed to be a little older than she, and his wince did not escape her gaze. There were scratches and a few bruises forming on his face, and her eyes widened slightly. He was only the next table over, so she didn't have to raise her voice much when she spoke. "Um... are you okay?" she inquired, a look of concern crossing her features.

peter looked up "im fine" he said before grabbing his stuff and pulling it closer to him and opend the worn book he had and thr.binder and grabbed a pencil from his pocket and.began scribbling things down on note book paper he then glanced at the girl "sorry for startling you." He said befor a young student dropped off a vintage camera by him and h moddes in thanks
