C.J. smiled as he followed her in. There was no doubt in his mind this was finally working out for him. And on top of that, with someone that didn't look like she was 2-Face's beau!
"Okay, okay. So I offered to take what's-her-faces out to lunch. I just wanted to distract her from putting the whammy on Mist'! Now be a pal and drop it, huh?!"

Misty smiled and kept close to CJ as they followed the waitress from the entrance to one of the nearby available tables. This was a fairly good choice. She'd stopped in here a few times, and they usually had good food. Not sure how much the other two were going to like it, but she was hoping that they had frog legs today. Egg drop soup...mushrooms...butterfly cookies...wontons...shrimp...
As the waitress seated them, Misty took a seat near the aisle and waited for her date to settle in as well. Usually she'd just tell them what she wanted to drink as she sat her stuff down and kept right on walking to the buffet. But...she didn't want to do that when she had someone else with her.

C.J. eased into a seat next to Misty (on the other side of her by the wall) and took off his hat, putting it on the chair across from him . . . and by the looks of it, was hungry enough to eat the table.
"OOooooh trust me. If I didn't want to have a good boyfriend impression, I WOULD have eaten the table!"
Oy . . . anyways, he was essentially settled in as he looked over at Misty. "So what looks good to you, hon?" he asked.

"Well, the buffet's usually pretty good here. And the soup's usually good as well." she replied, smiling back at him. "How about you?"

C.J. smiled casually. "I'm good for anything . . . this hero stuff works up an appetite!" he said. In truth he was totally ready for some Chinese food . . . and if the writer wasn't broke as a joke, he'd totally go for some Egg Foo Young right now!

Misty smiled. "Well, you definately deserve it after everything today. I could go for the buffet. It's usually cheaper than a dish...I don't want you to spend too much on me." she replied.

C.J. smiled and put an arm around her. "Don't worry about me, babe. I gotcha covered, but the Buffet definitely works . . . besides, finally getting the courage to ask you out made that mission worth it." he said with a wink. It only took us about . . . nine months!

Misty grinned, then leaned up against him to put her head on his shoulder. "Well...as long as it's alright with you. And I'm glad you're happy with it." she replied. She was rather happy herself. She still wasn't quite sure when or how they both knew each other...but she was glad they did.

I'm pretty sure SHE isn't, but since there really isn't a "continuity" for you and I, we're kinda just . . . out there. Why?
"I mean, she has NO idea about the Halloween party, Christmas at our house . . . that trip to the movies that got referenced but wasn't shown onscre-"

C.J. relaxed when she put her head on his shoulders. "Well if you're happy, then I am too, hon." he said as the waiter came by.
"Excuse me . . . welcome to the Emperor's Palace . . . do you need more time?" the waiter asked.
"Stop c**k-blocking me!!!!!"

"I'm ready if you are." Misty replied as sh looked up at CJ, her head still on his shoulder. He was buying, so she was going to let him order for them. He'd said he was fine with buying everything, but she still felt better with him ordering.

C.J. smiled. "Well I guess a bottle of wine and two glasses for starters and . . ." he said, looking at Misty. "Ladies first, hon." he said. He was usually the one who said that anyways . . . Dundee was still young, so he wasn't too sure about things yet, and Arell was almost like Benoit. Except with his smokes. DO NOT get near Arell when he smokes. He makes most steam trains look like they have no smoke at all!

"I'll take the buffet ." Misty replied as she looked back over at the server. That would be the best. Get a little of everything rather than getting a full plate of something and risk the little ones not agreeing with it.

"Better make that two, sir." C.J. said with a confident little smirk.
"Very well, I'll be back with your wine, the buffet should be open soon." the waiter said after jotting down their orders and walked off.
C.J. looked at Misty for a beat. Good lord I could get used to this. Finally things are going right! he thought.
"Wine good for you, Mist'?" C.J. asked. He was a little surprised the waiter didn't ask if they wanted red or white, but that was fine with him.

"Wine should be fine." she replied. "I'm a fan of it at least. And from what I understand, they should be too." she replied, placing a hand on her stomach.
After all...if Savage claimed ripping them out of her would still be fine for them, what was a little bit of wine going to do? This would be the first bit of alcohol she'd had in....well, she hadn't had any since she got this little surprise.

That's right! After the date we go find him and whop his a**. I know Arell would understand.
Anyways, C.J. smiled when she mentioned all three of 'em liked wine. "Well, reckon it's grape juice, too. No skin off us." he said. He really didn't want to get out of their embrace, but the reminder that they were still rather hungry had brought him into reality fast.
