I've been doing some reading, and from that, I think I'll be okay. I'm going to do self-treatment with icing to help with inflamation, and I'm going to get a sleep brace, as horomones released during sleep cause paralysis, and that should make it considerably harder to fight the brace. sweatdrop

Oh, I forgot to mention. Once the symptoms are gone, there are techniques that are supposed to prevent recurance. Stretches and strength training and such.

I hope I never get carpel tunnel ... or my life as I know it will surely be gone. Video games, computers, programming... about the only thing I can do is DDR, running, and uhh ... st00f

I hope everything goes well, Anu-chan.

Same here. Although, my mom has carpal tunnel and she still manages to be on a computer at work everyday.

I'm now playing Dragon Quest VIII rather religiously. Fantastic game. I can't put it down.

...Until last night. I ran against Empyrea, and goodness, am I stuck. I nearly cried after my second defeat. (It was midnight and I was over-tired)

Hero's currently at level thirty-four, and Jessica's at thirty-two. Her HP's around two hundred. Each character can survive one physical attack, neither Jessica or Angelo can survive two. Not great when you factor in that Empyrea gets two attacks per round, is faster than most of my characters, and frequently casts that ice spell that nullifies any spell I could cast for status boosts.

I would be just fine were it not for one thing. ZING SO RARELY WORKS. Hero and Angelo both have the Zing spell, and Jessica has a staff of resurection. I seem to spend most of the battle healing and casting Zing, which works about twenty percent of the time, and eats up all my MP.

Zing, for those unfamiliar with DQ8, is like Life in Final Fantasy. So while the b*****d bird is busy kicking my a**, I'm switching between Fullheal and Zing like an idiot. It's really fun when everyone but Hero dies.

I don't know what to do, and I'm sorry for venting at you lovely people. I'm off to the Dragon Graveyard in hopes of running-through a few Metal King Slimes.

EDIT: Nevermind. I grew an IQ and summoned my monster teams, and with their combined efforts, they shaved off about half of her HP, and I was able to get the rest.

crying I want to play Dragon Quest VIII ... but I don't have it, and my brother has the PS2, because he's a b*****d.

So i've been playing Star Fox Assault, and Metroid Prime.
Star Fox Assault is awesome, action packed in the muchly loved Arwing, also in the Landmaster(tank), and on foot. The game juggles around from having to soar to the skies in the Arwing, to running around as Fox. There are only 10 missions, but Star Fox games have never been long... excluding Star Fox Adventures. sweatdrop
Metroid Prime I have always found to be very fun.

That's the Dragon Quest whose characters were designed by the guy who created Dragonball, isn't it? o_O

Akira Toriyama
Yeah, it does look Toriyama-ish ... more like just his Dragon Ball series work art, though.

It's a great game, I highly recommend it.

But I'm stuck again. xp I know what I'm supposed to be doing, and I'm having some sucess... I'm trying to cheat the casino by saving when I win and resetting when I lose. I have around 120,000 tokens, and I need at least 250,000. I just don't have the patience. But when I get 200k, I can but the Gingham whip, which is the best whip in the game. The rest goes towards a suit of liquid metal armor, which I will use the Alchemy pot to convert to Metal King Armour. The best armor in the game. domokun I can't seem to win anymore, and I'm losing patience, as I've been here for three days.

crying I want the game!

I too ... am stuck. Sadly...
Resident Evil: Deadly Silence for the Nintendo DS is a lot of fun, great game. But i'm playing through ReBirth mode as Chris and i'm having a bit of trouble. It's not that I don't know where to go, it's just I have to fight off so many Hunters, Zombies, Crows, Bees, and Chimara's. I don't have any healing items in inventory, and finding them is about as rare as finding Magnum rounds(which i'm actually finding quite frequently) ... Hmm, maybe I'll go and get the Magnum now, take care of Yahn, then kill monsters in rooms that I know i'll have trouble in because it's just too much of a pain in my a**. Then i'll save my bullets for the end of the game. Which I hope won't be a waste of my bullets, because the game is only getting harder. Though the puzzles are fun, I don't know how many times i've had to do the Record player puzzle, and the Tombstone puzzle.
Record player you have to spin a record until a song plays through, can't go too fast or too slow, then you won't get anywhere. And the Tombstone puzzle, you have to tap blue lights on the tombstone with your stylus. It's easy, but I don't want to mess up, since the lights are all right next to Chris's fingers, one slip, you'll chop off a finger. eek can't have that happen. sweatdrop

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Just when I thought I would ration my healing items until the end of the game, I have to knife battle Yahn(or Yawn, whichever you go by). THAT WAS BULL s**t!!! I wasted 4 healing items fighting him! It wasn't too much of a problem for me, until I fought Tyrant for the first time. I killed him, but I got stuck in the wall a couple of times, and took in a lot of damage. Now I end the game with low health, Save Jill from the jail cell, and narrowly escape with only 8 rounds left in my Magnum. I make it to the heliport, and Tyrant rips through the ground. This time, he's pissed. Needless to say, I was ********. I can't find any health items, because I used them all.
crying crying crying crying cry for me!

You know what? Void my last post, please?

[warning: May contain spoilers]

I got myself out of that situation. Reason behind this is: I started up the game once, and left the save room. And it put me into a knife fight sequence. I died the first time, I pulled out my stylus too late >.< ... So I loaded up the game and kept going out of the save room and back in until I got another knife battle. I got into a few, I died in each. Then I found a perfect technique to kill Zombies and Hunters rather quickly. Cut from the left, to the right. Almost guaranteed to make them stumble back with each hit. So I did that and I hoped I would get a Green Herb from one of the possible item drops. Just so have it, Luck was on my side! ho-rah me! I got a green herb ... though at my rationality at the time, I neglected mixing it with a Red and Blue herb I had in storage. I use it, I'm put back into Caution ... orangish-red caution. I had a few hits in me left xd ... So I keep going out and in the save room until I get into another knife battle. I get into another one, hoping I would get another green herb. But instead I got 2 Magnum rounds... The room in which the Red Herb was, had a case of shotgun shells I had neglected to get at the time due to lack of space in inventory. So I took those shells, and I grabbed out my shotgun from my chest and used it to clear the path until I got up to Tyrant. ******** beautiful work! about ... umm ... 7 naked zombies in the room right before the room Jill's locked up in. One shot, I kill four of them, shot two I killed two more. Then I turned a corner and wasted the last with a third shot. Now I have four rounds left. The room outside of the room where the zombies were where Jill was locked up in had a bunch of Chimera's ... luckily they're a bit slow to senses, and their turning is horrible, considering they all are a bunch of ceiling runners. I go up the stairs located right next to the door(thank god..ish) and kill three more zombies ... each with one more shotgun shell per zombie. I'm left with 1 shotgun shell, and 22 magnum rounds. No more zombies left to fight after this point, it's straight to Tyrant. So I empty my inventory of everything except for my Magnum with the 22 rounds. Remember those two magnum rounds that I had received from my second knife battle outside the save room? Well, I ended up using them. It took 22 shots with the Magnum to kill the 7ft ********... Well... Then Brad threw down the rocket launcher and I BARELY run around him. I get the rocket launcher and shoot Tyrant when he's about 2ft infront of me. I got lucky during that fight, Tyrant hit me ... 3 times. Two of the times he hit me, he knocked me way back, enough for me to recover and get a few more shots off into him. Needless to say, it took a while for me to run around and get some shots off into him. One more downfall, right before you go to fight Tyrant, The self destruct sequence starts its timer. Got three minutes to get up the elevator, and fight off Tyrant. It takes about a minute to talk to Jill and Rebecca and get all the way up to the heliport, grab the flare, and set it off. You can either watch Brad circle the heliport which will waste about another 30 seconds, or you can skip right to Tyrant tearing through the ceiling. Needless to say, Time was of the essence in this battle.
Ta da?
