Thanks Isa! And Elainee.... Ouch!
PostPosted: Thu Dec 30, 2010 11:00 pm

lol Elaine, meet the product of my rushed attempt at burying digging myself out of a 2 week hole. Plus, I just wanted something up so that Pol and Andee could post again. I agree with you and I will go back and change it (not tonight or this week most likely but changed it will be).

EDIT: Tenses changed which does make it much better. I refuse to alter the flashback though (especially the hidden message because it's a lot of damn code to delete).

Is it me, or did Sierra become a wee bit more popular? xd
PostPosted: Fri Dec 31, 2010 10:48 am

Whee~

I'm so very late in the postage. But I have the day off today and I wanted to post something while I was still feeling fine. On a side note: I hope you don't mind me butting in so to speak, Isa. I had taken the cue from Martin and started Marcel in your direction.

To be honest I was trying to give your and Dragon's character a chance to interact some more before I butt in a little bit later.

≫ Small Edit

Hee, now that I think about it...that's true. Looks like Marcel is gonna have some competition in the friend department. A competition that he is sadly losing so far.

Oh no, don't worry! I was hoping you would butt in. I told you I love Marcel (come to think of it, I love almost all these characters lol). mrgreen

And psh, he is still Sierra's best friend. He can't lose this competition. Not yet anyway.

Hello, My name is
    Butch Travis

I Have Been on this Earth for About
    18 Years

I am of the
    male Gender

I'm staying in dorm number
    Blue 7

I'm currently enrolled in grade number
    12

c o l o r m e p r e t t y

How I Normally Look
Butch has a rugged appearance and stands at 6' 1" and weighing in at 195 lbs. He preferably wears athletic clothes, boots, jeans, or mainly whatever feels comfortable to him. Although he'll never wear anything he would consider 'goth' or any form of dark clothing. Most of the time you'd find him wearing his favorite pair of jeans, a T-shirt featuring some sort of hunting brand, and his lucky cowboy boots.
His sandy brown hair is cut short and it grows into sideburns down the sides of his jaws. Butch also has 5 o'clock shadow lining the rest of his face giving him the look of someone in their early twenties.
From years of farmwork, Butch has built up noticeable muscle mass, giving him an intimidating aura. His body is built rather bulky with broad shoulders and upper body muscles.

Fairytale Appearance
Butch's fairytale form is that of a big shaggy brown Werewolf. Why a Werewolf and not a wolf? Humans began to lose their fear if the woods as time went on, and so wolves weren't as feared as they were back in the day. To keep up with the times, the new Big Bad Wolf is a muscular Werewolf standing at nearly seven and a half feet on his hind legs and four feet at the shoulders when on all fours.
Butch can shift forms at will - regardless of the Lunar calendar. To put into words of his Werewolf form, Butch can go between bipedal an quadrupedal stances so he can stand on his hind feet and speak to you like any other conversation - albeit his voice sounds deeper and less articulated - and can run on all fours.
Covering the powerful muscles Butch has is a thick layer of tree-brown fur. The outer layer is bristly and the fur around his neck and shoulders creates a mane of some sorts. The lower layers of Butch's fur are actually quite soft and provides his body with insulation invade of harsh weather conditions.

y o u o u g h t t o k n o w

How I am
Butch is cocky, arrogant, and can at time be a jerk. Something of a hothead, Butch is more than willing to knock the fire out of somebody if they're to say the wrong thing to him - although he'd never harm a woman.
His arrogance stems from being the star quarterback from his small-town high school. The adoration of his friends fed his ego, allowing it to grow and expand. When something didn't go his way, the wolf began to emerge, giving him a nasty temper.
Butch isn't all arrogance and anger though. Being a pack animal of sorts, he craves social time. He enjoys sports and other forms of outdoor activities such as hiking, hunting, and swimming. He's very chivalrous and considers himself a ladies man because of the attention he received from girls who occasionally fawned over him back home.
Butch is kind of like a dog. Show him an ounce of loyalty and he'll be your best friend.
When confronted with a challenge, Butch is more than likely to tackle it head on with as direct an approach as possible. When he's confronted by a being stronger than he is, Butch may be ignorant to the fact, due to him coming from such a tiny farming community where he was among the strongest.
Butch considers himself without any crippling weaknesses, but in reality he let's his emotions overrun his sense of reason. For example, he'd benchpress a full-grown tree in human form if he knew a pretty woman were to be watching, not even thinking that he'd get hurt in the process. Or he'd knock a hole in the nearest brick wall if angered. He also enjoys playing the bigshot, letting his arrogance guide him rather than common-sense.

How I came to be
Butch was selected to be the Big Bad Wolf when he found an ancient-looking necklace in the barn behind his house, hanging from a lonely nail. Entranced with the necklace, Butch found upon closer inspection to see what looked like a canid fang on it. He plucked it from where it hung and tied it around his neck. Moments later her began turing into an actual Werewolf!
He cried out in panic, alerting his friends causing them to rush to his location only to be confronted by a seven foot tall wolfman. Surprisingly, Butch was able to speak, calming them down. It didn't take the group long to realize it was the necklace that induced the transformation, making Butch immediatly remove it, returning him to human form.
Standing in the barn, freaked out and naked, Butch stated he actually liked the necklace. He claimed it gave him access to a primal side he said he always wanted.
Butch kept the necklace handy and put it on when he had some time to himself, or was with his friends who were honor-bound to keep his secret. When an anonymous invitation came to Butch from an 'Ever After Academy', he was immediately skeptical, thinking it was just a joke from his friends. But as time went on, Butch received several more invitations to the academy. By this time, his parents were well aware of the necklace in its unique properties. They suggested that Butch wasn't very careful with his necklace and used it when someone was around.
It wasn't until a school representative showed up on his doorstep. They explained that the necklace chose him to be the next Big Bad Wolf. Thinking for the safety of others, Butch's parents concluded that he should go to the school.
Now charged with the task of living up to the legendary character he thought was fictional, Butch has to learn how to protect forests and wildlife, lest the balance of nature be thrown off.

The line of BBW's had to change from wolves to Werewolves because humans began losing their fear of forests and the creatures that lurked within. To keep up with the changing times, Werewolves were then charged to keep humans away from the wild. The BBW is actually the protector of the forest and Butch is only one of several hundred guardians - some still act as wolves, others Werewolves.
Butch is still nowhere near aware of the secret society of the protectors of wildlife that are the Big Bad Wolves. So far he believes sending him away was a waste of time just so he can learn how to keep humans from tearing up the forest. Don't get him wrong, Butch loves the woods and everything about it, but his parents think that he'll just rip every trespasser apart if they set foot in his territory. They want him to not only to learn how to perform his duty correctly, but how to keep his instincts in check.

s o m e o t h e r i n f o r m a t i o n

There's something else you ought to know
Like any other creature of the wild, Butch is liable of succumbing to primal urges and if necessary, volatile instincts. Butch's animalistic side will begin to show through if he feels threatened or is angered to a certain point due to his extensive use of the necklace.

Aww, your assurances as to Marcel's friendship status is probably a relief...and worrying at the same time. Hee, only time will tell. And only I will say how he reacts to it. Eh, we'll have to see.

-------------------------------+

You know. I was thinking about making a female character. Mainly because I found a really cool picture that I would love to use soon. But at the same time there are things to consider. Like the fact that I'm already slow with my posts already and I'll have to think of what fairytale she would be in....

Hmm, its not so much as to if I could handle it. Its more like...am I ready for that kind of thing at this point. What do any of you think? Good idea? Bad?

So do we just start RP-ing after making a profile?? :3

I think it would be a good idea, especially since we are in need of more girls. If you think you can keep up with the characters, I say go for it. We already know your speed with posts, but your writing is wonderful and I think you could bring a lot more to this.

If you need help with anything, let me know and I'll certainly enjoy adding my two cents in.

-------

And now for Texan-Werewolf! Well first of all, thanks for taking the time to make your character and being so interested in this RP.

If you don't mind, there are a few things that I see could use a little bit more work. As our wonderful leader Elaine would say, more detail never hurts. You need to add a picture as well to your profile.

So going to the fairy tale appearance, what kind of werewolf are we talking about? Are we going with Twilight really big wolf or are we thinking Harry Potter skinny half human/wolf thing, or are we looking at Underworld's version of a werewolf? Height is nice, but more attention to body shape please. Will he wear clothes? If so, what kind? Also how does he turn into a werewolf? Is it the "only a full moon" or does he have control over when he changes? Does he have a talisman (much like the Beast character) to control/temper his changes?

I'm sorry, but I really want to see a lot more with how your character is. Why is he cocky and arrogant? Does he have a reason to feel cocky or is it teenage hormones? If faced with someone stronger than him, what would he do? What do you need to do in order to gain his loyalty? If he doesn't hit women, how would he treat them? Does he have a hobby that he enjoys? Does he have a weakness (or more than one)? Those are some things you ought to add.

When you talk about how he came to be, add more! How does he view his grandfather? What about his family? Was he happy to be invited to the Academy? How was his home life? Was he an outcast or was he well liked? Does he only view this as a duty or does he truly care for the forest? Does he even care about people?

These are some things I think you ought to add to your profile. I'm sorry if it seems harsh...

You have to wait until a mod or Elaine gives you the okay to post.

Gotcha! Thanks for the info too! That was the first thing I wondered when I finished if the profile was detailed enough but I would've never thought to input some of the stuff! Thanks a bunch!!! By another pic do you mean his fairytale appearance? If so I can add that too

Oh no. Never mind, I hadn't seen your profile picture the first time. sweatdrop
PostPosted: Fri Dec 31, 2010 1:23 pm

I've dealt with having two or more characters before. So I know that as long as I keep a clean rhythm going on between them I can keep them up fine. But I wanted to at least see if it was okay first before I went ahead and just...started something. Especially something I called myself starting.

I'm gonna throw up a skeleton for my character pretty soon. Kinda raw bones because I know what I want for her but I need to skim and trim in a permanent place. So..if you see it. Its not exactly done yet. But it will be soon.

Chris, you don't have to alter this exact post, just keep everything in mind for next time. The flashback is important for the post, so i don't want you to take that away. Just for future times, keep in mind how to do it even better. Writing should improve all the time, and that's the only reason why I’m critiquing anything because I want you to be a better writer.

Isa, thanks you covered all most everything.

Texan-Werewolf, sadly there’s one major problem with your profile. The bio doesn’t work with the rules of the RP.

When changing into a wolf, there has to be a substitute. Either he puts on a wolf suit or he puts on a talisman to change. These changes are not genetic. Which also means, his grandpa couldn’t have been the wolf before him...
The school gets people random because they have the best traits for the fairy tale. Also when someone starts the school, they cannot contact their family besides letters which are heavily screened. Therefore, he wouldn’t know his grandpa was a werewolf even if he was...

In other words, you have to redo the bio. He needs either a suit or a talisman to become the wolf, not genetics. And, his grandpa cannot be a werewolf.

Also, I don’t think you covered the things Isa told you to do. Please review what she said and add more details in those areas, along with the changes you were told by me. Thank you for showing interest! I can’t wait til your character is fully finished and ready to go!
