Ria's face fell. "If you are trying to get to the Earth Kingdom, the villagers will help you. But first, I think some tea would do you good." she said, and walked over to the small fire. A sturdy iron pot was pertched there, and Ria drew some hot water out and put it in a cup with some tea leaves. "Here you go." she said, and offered the cup to the girl. "Did you say what your name was?"

Akuma smile at Lao."i know what u mean i havent told them i was airbender until i had."Akuma said and passed her some rice."eat some.Akuma said handing it towards Lao.

"You know..." Lao said, downing the rice in a single swoop, "Perhaps we ought to arrange my departure...quickly. This isn't the safest situation for me to be in."

Because I'll end up eating the entire village, she thought with a growl. Then her nose twitched, and she smelled something.

"I smell Fire Nation," she said annoyed. She was sure she'd lost them. "Someone here is alive...pulsing with spices and ash..."

Lao was too intoxicated by the scent. Fire Nation...by far...was the most appetizing of the races left. She had tasted Air Nomad before...so soft and tender as it nearly melted in her jowls...lightened by inner peace. But Fire Nation...they were exciting meals. They were to ones to keep on fighting even as Lao had them half-way down her throat.

She walked out of the tent, ignoring her hosts, as she sniffed through the village, feet hastily clad in fur-lined boots. She looked ahead...and saw Mizuki.

They locked eyes for a moment...Lao's nose and eyes twitching in hungry anticipation. She seemed to be attempting to pry a confession with her eyes from the still girl in the streets. With a deep breath, Lao breathed in the scent.

Ash.

Lao wrinkled her nose in disappointment. What a let down...she swore she'd smelled ash...but this girl had ruined her taste in her immersion with the Water Tribe folk, turning what should have been ashy and spiced into more like wet charcoal. She passed her, hissing inaudibly. She smelled that smoky, tender flesh out there....

She focused her hearing. At first there was little to hear...the whirr and howling of the winter wind so thick it almost made her deaf with the focus. But she heard it...almost a mile off. The crunch of curled boots found on the feet of Fire Nation soldiers.

She didn't care about being taken care of. It was foolhardy and selfish to do so, but she was so very hungry.

She ran from the village, faster than anyone anticipated, entoxicated with the smell of the hunt. The snow caved into her feet as they began to heat up, thick fur eagerly twitching behind her human form and eager to burst out. But she had to wait...she was almost out of sight...

As soon as the watch tower of the village disappeared from sight...the Fire Nation soldiers did. They weren't even firebenders...but mere foot soldiers armed with spears and broadswords. Their fierce expressions changed to horror as they watched what was once the beautiful Lao change into the enormous and frightening creature. Licking her jowls at the quivering, immoblie soliders, Lao breathed out in ecstasy.

"So very hungry...."

In the darkness of the winter night, faint cries could be heard. Even fainter were the sound of bones cracking under teeth as sharp as a blade. Then there was nothing at all.

Hakata jumped into the room and hit Lao with a water whip, "How you doing Lao the Eater? Thats right I've heard the legends of how many people you've killed. Not anymore."

The Water Whip was still in Hakata's Hand. "I've heard the legends, you show up after major battles to feed off the remnants. Well not anymore, Leave My Village You Monster." Hakata whipped the frail screaming girl, and made an Ice Sword and stabbed at her stomach knowing it was this demon, or him and all of his people.

Hakata tried freezing her mouth shut, "QUIET DEMON, I WILL NOT LET YOU PLAGUE THIS WORLD." Hakata tried shooting a massive load of ice spikes at the demon.
