Carlie sniffled, and wiped her eyes, looking at Hal and Edel. "I'm s-sorry..." she said, sniffing again. "Y-you guys must think I'm really s-stupid or s-something..."
She wiped her eyes again. "O-okay. I'm... I'm okay now," she said shakily. "S-so... We, uh... we need to figure out where we're gonna go... Yeah..."

Edel smiled gently. "Actually, I can take you straight over to Lucas and the others if you would like. You can move on with...what you were doing with them. I apologize again that I can't allow you back into my home. Not yet anyway."

"I can go over to them, sure. I dunno if Carlie and Hal want to, though," Captain Marvel said.
Carlie just shrugged. "What do you think we should do, Dad?" she asked.

Hal paused for a moment in thought, then looked back up at Edel. "You said you needed to go over there as well to talk about what had happened, right? Well then, why don't we all go over. We can talk to the others, and you can better inform us of what is going on when you talk to whoever you're going to go see."
"Alright." Edel replied. "And I'm sure if you would still rather go shopping or something, that would still be optional while we're talking." she said, looking to Carlie. "We will be in the main part of the city after all, and I'm sure you'll have someone closer to your age to go with if your Father does not." she said, a hazy, lavender colored portal opening beside her on the street.

Carlie grinned a little, and glanced at Marvel. "Oh, I'm sure I will..." she said softly, and Marvel fidgeted a bit.

Hal frowned a bit. Edel on the other hand just grinned. "Well then...let's head over. Shall we?" she said, stepping through the portal and disappearing through it.

One of the household servants made her rounds about the house to make sure everything was as it should be. She stopped first inside one of the lobby areas of the home. Inside, Edel was speaking with her son, Michael. The woman then made her way up the stairs to the second level of the house. From there, she went to the next room that was occupied. The goddess, Alcina, was asleep and surrounded by some of the mistresses gems. To help restore her powers. The woman closed the door and headed to the next room that was occupied. Edel sat with her estranged husband, Richard Blackstone, and was still talking to him. He'd been here for what must have been hours. She didn't want to disturb them, so she calmly walked away and headed towards the last occupied room of the home. That she was permitted to wait on anyway. Inside this room, were two women with long black hair, and black...almost Grecian dresses. One sat in the corner of the room, carefully spinning bright, glowing silver threads. The other, sat at the other corner of the room, mindlessly twirling a long measuring rod. Two....of the three Greek Fates. Both visiting...and both still looking for what had become of their sister. She had been on her little "trip" for quite some time now.
ENTER from Home Sweet Home.
Inside one of the more dimly lit rooms far down the hallway, much farther into the incredibly large home than any of the guests were permitted to enter, Edel appeared in a whirl of lavender smoke. And she. Was. Furious. "You're an a**." she grated out, storming into the room farther. "In every imaginable sense of the word."
"I told you making a visit to speak would be pointless...." a quiet voice replied from the darkened corner of the room.
"Fortunately, I had no expectations of your other half actually helping. I got what I went up there for." Edel growled, looking down at the hand she had slapped Xiao with. One of her rings had been twisted around so that the "jewel" was facing the inside of her hand. Resting inside of it, was a droplet or two of blood and a sliver of skin. "I'm just furious with the sheer arrogance he has. I swear you two just concrete my opinion that splitting oneself into two separate bodies is just a waste. I knew it was pointless before, I received the better half, but even I'M not that....that....errrgh!"
The voice let out a small chuckle. "So...you're really going to go through with this spell? I thought you said it was far too much work...and if it backfired, there would be hell to pay."
"Xiao...after that thing came into my home and threatened my child...I'm fully willing to swat at a hornets nest right now. Might as well put a candle inside it and burn the entire thing. Let what manages to come out sting me." she replied as she slipped the ring off and inspected the sample she had managed to pull from X. "So....I am going to do what I can to take care of the whole 'helping people' thing....I am going to get both you and Alcina taken care of once and for all...you two will help me....and if your other half gets killed, so be it." Then she pulled off another ring and started towards the dark end of the room. She held her hand out expectantly. "Now then...try to solidify a part of your arm enough that I can get a decent sample. Then I can make my little spell, and take part of it out to your wife."

[enter the Spectre]
A green light emerged from a corner of the room that Edel and Xiao were in. As the light faded, a deathly pale man was standing there, hooded in a green cloak. "I am here to help. Your goals are the same as mine. X must pay for his sins." Though it was not in his nature to help others, or ask for help, he was fully aware of X having the power that Neron had provided him; his power was now exponentially greater. Possibly too great for even the Spectre.

An green clothed arm soon materialized in front of Edel. She took the arm in one hand and pressed her ring against the skin with her other hand. Before she could use it to draw any blood from the invisible being, the Spectre made his presence known.
Edel jumped at his sudden arrival, and Xiao apparently panicked and withdrew his arm.
Edel closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "Relax....he's not here for you..." she said calmly as she turned her attention towards her new, VERY powerful guest. This was.....beyond unexpected. "You say you've come to help? I....must say I'm a little at loss of what to say. I was prepared to go about this little spell all on my own."

"Your intentions were to try to draw X back into Xiao?" the Spectre said. Though it was asked, it wasn't a question.

"Something like that." she replied, glancing back at the invisible being that had become....overly quiet with the new guest here. "The spell is something of a symbiotic nature. With X's blood sample, I mix it with Xiao's...and Xiao should be able to feed off of the surplus of energy X has. This will allow him to maintain some form of a body, and allow him to use at least most of the power he should have. And....if I allow the same spell for Alcina, she should be able to recover her full power as well. With as much extra energy as X has...he shouldn't take note of this unless he's really, really paying attention." she said, then grinned a bit. "Fortunately...he can't see anything in this room. Even if he's focused on my home now."

"That will not be enough to defeat him," the Spectre said, matter-of-factly. "Vengeance must be served."

"I know." Edel admitted. "But for the moment, that's all I have. My focus has been drawn to the problem of the missing heroes. Since my last invited guest pretty much told me off and threatened my child. If I dug through more of my older books, I'm sure I'd be able to find some spells that could turn the spell into one that drains the energy rather than simply feed off of it."
