Omega: Catalina - Escalation

User Image
She felt his hand close around her wrist, the redhead turning to yell something at him when she was suddenly lifted into the air, tossed over Jack's shoulder and literally carried away. She only let out one frustrated yell, bringing her fists down into his back to no avail. He shrugged his shoulders, the redhead dropping into the surf with a splash. The water wasn't necessarily deep, but it was enough to get her hair and white shirt wet. Her hands slapped the top of the water as he joked with her about being cute, the redhead getting to her feet slowly. Her wet curls fell into her face as she glowered at him, falling back into her own relaxed stance - feet grounded, arms at her sides, wet chest rising and falling rhythmically with her breathing.

There was already a small group forming outside the surf, looking at the two of them with obvious interest. Kerrigan's hands at her sides balled into fists, a grin spreading across her lips as Jack taunted her, challenging her to come at him. His mistake. If she hadn't made it clear before, he would soon know that she was not the kind of girl to challenge to a fight. He might be stronger than she is when it comes to raw strength, but she had the speed and the experience to put up one heck of a fight, if not win.

"Remember that you challenged me when they have to haul your a** off the beach," she responded cooly, amusement misplaced as residual anger from this whole situation. The distance between them was closed in practically the blink of an eye, water slinging outwards as she took to the air, a kick aimed to connect with the middle of his chest with enough force to knock him back. Despite his hand in causing this whole situation, he did not hit her no matter what moves she pulled on him, and Kerrigan was not one for holding back when she was angry.

Water and wet sand flew in bursts throughout the scuffle, which was actually pretty evenly matched. They fell into a pretty decent, and thankfully learnable, pattern - she would attack, he would block her, she would land a hit to break the lock, and the pair would go at it again. Twisting around, the giant Alpha's hands closed around her wrists to prevent a fresh assault, the redhead bringing her foot up to push against his stomach as a way to steady herself and apply some uncomfortable pressure. While she found herself wanting to cause him pain, the physical contact between them still managed to feel pleasurable - it did nothing but fuel the fire raging in her stomach.

Alpha: Not far from the bonfire..User Image

So apparently Antonio realized his mistake in calling her Linda, and corrected her name later on in the pep talk… It should have made her feel better that he hadn’t needed to be told. But somehow…It didn’t. His words, while some felt comforting, others simply felt condescending. It wasn’t his fault exactly… It was her mindset. And she knew it. But it didn’t change things…It didn’t change how she felt, or the fifty pound weight that was anchored to the bottom of her heart.

It was pulling her down, lower and lower.

She didn’t laugh, or crack a smile at any of his jokes…No matter how charming he usually was, no matter how much she would have normally blushed and stammered…There was just too much going on in her head to feel anything but frustration and confusion.

Her grey eyes settled on him… Perceptive and absorbing, calculating and careful. “If everyone has weaknesses… Tell me, homme… What is yours?”

She was brought back to the fight with the thugs in the alley.

“And if being ruthless, and treating all life as equal is what makes us what we are—How did you and Shandra deal with the thugs that followed her? Did you just…Let them go? Or did you give them a warning that was either fatal or will land them in the hospital?”, she demanded, barely taking the time to breath between questions. There was a small fire building within her that wouldn’t go out…

If Narcissa and Christian brutally beat the ever living tar out of the men that were with them… She imagined that Shandra and AntonioNarcissa’s progeny, did much the same. Perhaps to a lesser degree…But much the same.

She looked away… Hair again acting as a curtain to separate her face from the person she was speaking to. It was a defense mechanism…To hide her expressive eyes and face. She knew she wore her emotions openly, honestly…She couldn’t keep them from her features…But she could hide them from sight. “You offer to teach me to be better…Stronger. By that you mean that there is something wrong me now…Wrong enough that Ah could be one of the many X-Men cast offs. But that if Ah get stronger…Better, Ah won’t be.”

“So what does stronger, better mean? It sounds like Ah’ll just need to become ruthless, and brutal—And learn to ignore the blood on my hands.”

She shook her head, her lips pressed thin as her eyes closed. “Ah can’t do that. If Ah’m in the X-Men…It’ll be on my own terms.”

“The violence earlier wasn’t necessary. All Narcissa would have needed to do was flash or do some trick with her powers…Destroyed something that didn’t matter, sent a warning shot and they would have run like sissies. She used it anyway—So…So much for hiding our X-Gene’s… But no. Beating them to a bloody pulp was better.”
, she trailed off, glancing back at Antonio through her long hair…

“Maybe ah'm already changing and ah just never saw it...Because for as much as what happened was wrong...It's my fault too. Because ah just stood by.”

Omega - Beach - Flick of the Switch

User ImageMaddy had hardly listening to Alek. The girl doubted he would have anything useful to say, but when he started to try and move the unconscious one, Maddy only raised an eyebrow. Yes, let's let the guy who everybody distrusts run off with Leion in this state. sounds like a a wicked good idea, no? Maddy didn't let go, and apparently Shandra was not either. "Oh, chill out," Maddy said lowly, thinking herself rather witty. "You know, I think we've got it handled here, thanks."

She moved in front of him, and cocked her head at Shandra as she tried to maneuver the body of Leion. Alright, maybe this wasn't the best time to make jokes with the red head. She hardly knew enough off her to tell if she would take jokes well. Maddy shook it off. She couldn't help it if she was in a sarcastic mood right now. It didn't really matter at all. "Yeah, yeah," she huffed. "I'm just joking..." she trailed off.

If they all were worried about Narcissa and here attitude, letting Alek take the boy certainly wasn't a good idea. Even if he really pulled out his good guy card for once, die Führeren probably wouldn't like it anyways.

Ever impatient, Maddy squeezed by Alek and lifted Leion under the shoulders. Leion certainly wasn't the smallest fellow around, but she lowered him onto the sand. She more or less shifted his head onto Shandra's shirt with her foot. She glanced around the little circle of people and rolled Leion on his side. "There-- I'd rather not see anybody do a Bon Scott tonight, if you know what I mean." Okay, maybe they wouldn't know. "Pulmonary aspiration. You, uh... choke on your own vomit... Plus I think he had alcohol poisoning.... Fun stuff. Saw a guy getting treated for it at Mass. General for it once. Big dude with a heavy beard; his face going all weird colors...," she trailed off.

Still, the girl felt a little bad. It was a messed up move to leave Vallon behind there, when now she had no intention of returning to him by the fire. Maddy was a very... instinctual being. she had liked the boy, at first. He was kind, really, and had a funny accent. ...but... she just didn't want to talk to him to much right now. She was confused as to why. Typically she could figure out the motives behind her movements, like being her own psychologist or something. Well, playing caretaker to Leion right now or sticking around the older Omega would keep her mind off of that enigma.

She'd been meaning to talk more with one or two of the other Omega people; to get in good with them. She was an Omega after all, not an Alpha like the one she'd been sticking around with.

Omega: Get the party started

She had a nice buzz at the moment. The world floated around her and nothing bothered her. Having a group of friendly faces around was nice. So far, most of the people she had met made her feel like a promotion to the X-Men wasn't the best idea. But right now, everything was okay. Whiskey and vodka tended to make the world right after enough drinks.

When Eli managed to roll himself off the rocks, Petra kind of stared at him blankly. It took a minute to register what she just witnessed. As soon as the drunken delay hit her, a giggle soon emerged and she she put out a hand to help him while laughing. She leveraged herself in case he did take her offer by pulling at the metal in the ground and hanging on. Part of her inherent mutant power was super-strength, but she had absolutely no balance at the moment and no desire to find herself over the edge.

"Are you okay, cutie? I hand you bottle next time, yes? Then we have no acrobatics."

User ImageHanging around the beach.
Forellen was in a little bit of a situation. She more or less displaced herself from all the action in her haste to find a quiet spot near the bonfire and relax but that didn’t really bother her all that much. After all someone had to stay sober and keep an eye on the children as they played and it might as well be her. Forellen took another sip of her wine watching as some danced, some got drunk and some fought with each other. Forellen only watched for a moment the fight between Kerrigan and Jack after the young man had hauled her off down the beach. As long as there wasn’t blood Forellen was going to let the cards fall where they will. Kerrigan was a big girl and she was more than able to take care of herself. Which still left Forellen kind of bored...she wasn’t a heavy drinker so getting drunk wasn’t an option...she really needed to socialize a little bit.

But alas there wasn’t anyone around to socialize with who wasn’t already engaged with their own little crew of people. That brought a sigh to the young ladies lips as she finished off another glass of wine. Forellen continued to watch the crowd as she contemplated a third glass...after all that bottle wasn’t going to finish itself off now. So without another thought Forellen poured herself a third glass of wine and took a sip before strolling off down the beach. She was just out along the beach for a neat little walk, not going very far at all...just to watch the surf and stars. When she hit a certain point she began to stroll back watching the fire and people around it and padded over when she saw that new Alpha Eli? on the ground and Petra she really just wanted to make sure he was alright...though judging by the way Petra was laughing he was just fine. She paused and pursed her lips slightly amused. ”You need a hand?” She offered.

Alpha - Will I remember tonight?
User Image
Eli lay there for a moment, Petra giggling at him, and the world was still spinning. If he remembered correctly she offered help. He was gonna sit down there staring at the world upside down; until his stomach pulled and he figured throwing up wouldn't be the greatest right now. As he reached for Petra's hand, Forellen strolled by and offered hers.

"Amazing! Saved by two beautiful women." He said grasping both their hands and anchored his legs to the rock he was just sitting on and helped himself up. He thanked Petra and turned to Forellen to offer her thanks until he realized she was one of the girls she sprayed with sand.

His face went white for a moment. "I'M SORRY PLEASE FOGIVE ME!" He shouted in a drunken outburst. "It was quite immuhcher of me to spray y'all with s~and. There's just something with that Blond that, that I just don't like." His voice changed pitches and slurred as he spoke."You girls have the looks with out the bitchiness; nothing like the girls who live down here in SoCal!" He said standing up taking two steps back and gave a deep bow to them both, stumbling a bit. He looked back down the hill, it would have been a terrible tumble and an untimely demise. "I'm..." He paused, trying to remember his name, "Drunk, so you'll have to learn my name another time. And yours? He asked, now sitting against the rock where Petra sat, he leaned his head back and stared to the stars, not caring that a piece of the rock jabbed at his neck. So this is what it was like to be drunk.

A night he wouldn't remember. It was fun. Too bad he won't recall it.

Alpha - So... My Money's On the Redhead. Until I I get to the last Paragraphs

" Remember that you accepted rag doll" was Jack's response to Kerrigan's statement. He went up a few notches as the fight forced him to. Holding back wasn't a mistake, but as blindly raged as she seemed to be she might not have noticed. Her seniority gave her the right to be cocky. And as far as he saw of her fighting was her element. While He on the other hand barely started down that road. So he wasn't surprised that a sharp pain from bruised ribs would be severely sore the morning next. Or that she was landing all the hits while his few attempts did not. He simply wasn't in the fight just enjoying it. He was aiming to be a pro wrestler, acting was part of the job. She was so feisty, that opening kick winded him. The wet look was distracting on her, and he evened the playing feel tearing and removing his top to the cheering cat calls of the female lookers, who up until that point where cheering the redhead on.

He was smirking the whole time. Obviously enjoying despite the fact he appeared to be losing. So Long as she kept to hit and run tactics she'd remain in control. She did seem a little off though. And she was slowing up, whatever berserker strength she had faded. It was probably because she was in the middle of her cool down that he managed to get her by the wrist. He was about to say "gotcha" but her foot in his brick abs prevented it as he caught his breath before she pumped it out. He thought quick, needing to do something, and the smirk returned to his face. She was faster and more agile, well coordinated. He was raw power, and even still without his armor, a meat tank. He simply let go of her wrist so that she spranged off him, but quicker then she might expect grabbed her by the ankle oft he foot she used to apply pressure.

She was off balanced by this obviously not expecting it. He pivoted back with his left foot and twisted his arm holding and dragging her leg, over handed. The end result was a suprised redhead who unexpectedly flew overhead, and smacked hard into water and possibly the ground beneath it as if she was living club. Jack couldn't stop there. The water took the real pain out of it and she was tougher, He was not goign to underestimate her because she was wet and gorgeous for it. He pivoted the other way, arm outward and this time flung her dazed self back in the other direction letting go. His favorite redhead skipped like a stone thrice before rolling to a stop in the water and recovering. Jack prematurely took the chance to cander to the crowd, mostly the a few guys and fickle girls. His mistake.

Someone yelled look out and he turned only to see the flash of red power slide between his legs. His right knee gave, kicked in the back. Before he could figure out what was what, His forehead was pulled back, and an arm went across his throat, locked by another arm, bicep and forearm squeezing two vital points, as the feminine but strong arm flexed. A sleeper hold, or blood choke. Denying his brain blood flow he was instantly dizzy, and couldn't register everything. He was obviously panicked and fighting the urge to pass out. The part of him that picked this fight for fun and cool her down was telling him to give in. His hidden rarely seen competitive side however was using her as an excuse. Giving in would only disappoint her, and make him less for it.

He was on all four seeming to slump, panting. But finding abit of energy hidden from being lazy throughout the day, He started to get back up much to disbelief and a few cheers. His hands couldn't pry her arms off, he had probably tried that on instinct . His arm bumped something against his side and he felt it out. Having been panicked and surprised by this move of her's he hadn't noticed that she added leverage with her body, her legs were around his midsection locked, allowing her to pull back on his neck. He took hold of a leg in each hand and weak from lack of blood to his brain barely manage to peel those legs of thengrab one and thrash her off sending her skipping again. He was down on all fours coughing and panting with a minor buzz to his head from the sudden blood rush. He spat into the water and stood up shakily. It would pass.

The new Concern was, were was she and what was she doing. She wasted no time in coming at him again. It was a lucky break for him though. She punched instead of kicked while jumping at him. Maybe the fact that her legs were used against her twice influenced that decision. But then he had her, nice and tight in his arms. Both wet and slippery her blow glanced off and she awkwardly spun around in mid air against him. His arms wrapped and clamped around her arms and upper body. Now she was the one feeling the pressure. He back flat against his chest, and all this contact. If he wasn't exerting himself to hold her and constrict the air out of her, it would almost be pleasant. He knew full well he had to hold back. He could collapse her ribs in and the creak he heard as his arms seemed to squeeze half an inch wasn't a good sign. It was fair to him though. His were gonna be sore the next morning. He was hopign she would find a way out of this bear hug or else someone come interrupt. He'd rather prefer a tie as to either one of them leaving utterly humiliated.

-----

The Jack clone looked at Petra after downing a bottle and getting another one. pretty pretty, and with an exotic accent, as well as deep eyes. The Alcohol played on him wether he should try her, but he thought against it. " Original, Clone. We all get hammered the same, bleed the same. The only difference is in death or sleep we go poof at the end of the day. And I'm abit forgetful at this point, so as to what I am. I haven't a clue anymore. I can enjoy myself all the same. Double the fun." was his response to her question as he opened a fresh bottle of whatever was in his hand. He was just goign to enjoy himself. Tossing out the technicality that he'd cease to exist within a few hours helped that. The events that amused and dragged on had him laughing

Especially Eli's little speech and all. He remained quite listening and watching. Awkward how the one with the most presence is also the most silent. Especially when he drank. It was kind of weird.

The halls had been busy, chattery and everyone seemed to travel in groups; they had the tribe mentality without being in a tribe. Damn them. This would have been fine, but Peta, no Aren, was already a part of one, and his heart belonged there instead of in the walls of the damnable school. So far, it'd been nothing but books, and slight simulations, and very little of what he had thought his education here would include.

Even with the close quarters of the Danger room camp-out (apparently there was a huge fight that had resulted in his -among others' rooms being decimated, he clearly belonged to another world, and it hadn't seemed as though he'd ever find a niche here. Clearly, after six months, he wasn't going to adjust.

Having given up on what the Academy's vision was for its mutants, (his grades weren't up to par with the Tribes' expectations) Peta stared at the remnants of what had yet to be packed. There wasn't much, so he had no fear of making it on time to his flight back to the west.

This was not to say he'd not enjoyed his time here, but the culture shock that he was still going through was immensely more than he'd anticipated. It was like an entirely different planet, despite the fact that they had electricity, indoor plumbing, the works. But the traditions that came with such a small society definitely didn't apply to the general population, and that lesson was had been drilled into his head over and over again, like a broken record, stuck on his least favorite track.

"Oh well." He sighed aloud, not aware that someone had tiptoed in behind him. He belonged in Montana anyhow. What he been thinking when he'd decided to go galavanting around a strange campus on the opposite side of the country? It was stupid really. The long haired male chided himself for having such an optimistic attitude.

There was a tap on the makeshift door frame - Peta rarely closed the door behind him, as privacy wasn't a luxury often received at home, and the native american rounded his gaze on the polite intruder: an upperclassman that he hadn't the slightest idea of who she was. "Scott Summers wants to see you in his office." She said formally, giving the student no indication of the reasons why his presence was requested.

Aren nodded stiffly, his insides quaking. He was already leaving, what more could they want? His soul?

~~~~
Ten minutes later he found himself staring at his superior, his back against a hardened office chair that he silently swored was made specifically for the purpose of making one uncomfortable. He fidgeted in his seat as he waited for the deliberation on what exactly was going on. Having Scott Summers request an audience with him was a first, and completely unexpected.
The shades gave away nothing and Peta grew increasingly weary as he stared up at them.
"I'm told you prefer Aren to Peta." He started, tone serious enough that it reminded the boy in the eat of someone pounding stones against another to create an arrowhead. "And while your marks could stand to be higher, you've shown great promise in your shifting abilities, and you've grown at rates that has caught our attention."
Aren blinked, expression deadpan to match Scott's. So far, the man hadn't said anything too awfully bad. Scott continued, still using a tone that marked a formal address. But in his hands dangled a junior team ID that Aren could have sworn had his picture on it. It streaked red, the mark of Alpha's competitor. "It's for this reason you've been chosen to be promoted to a junior team - Omega to be exact." Scott raised an eyebrow high enough that it was visible over the brim of his glasses as he waited for Aren's answer.
He was of course, speechless. It'd only been six months, and he'd not exactly made an effort to stand out against the crowd. At least, not yet. Until he got used to the culture shock of being off of the reservation, Aren had decided to hang low, not wishing to be labeled an "awkward duck."
Scott must have realized that Aren wasn't going to say anything, perhaps from the boy's mouth falling slightly agape. "Alphas and Omegas are on a much needed and well-deserved vacation; your plane ticket is in the folder, as is the key to your new dorm for when you return. Obviously you'll be wanting to live nearer to your new teammates, and out of the Danger's temporary rooms. For now, go enjoy the beach; you'll regret it later if you don't soak up this time with as much fun as possible." With that, he slid the documents, the ID and the key across the desk for Peta to take and ushered him out of the office. "Your plane leaves tonight, by the way."
~~~~~ Catalina~~~~~

This time, the plane ride included no stupid girls that claimed that his name was feminine, and Aren grinned at the memory, and how some kind soul had switched seats with him to save the girl from being choked. It'd only been six months ago... but that seemed so distant, and his life's path had altered a great deal since then.

He was on a team, that only a small fraction of the students at the academy even could hope to be a part of. Maybe, he'd find his niche here. Maybe, hopefully.

The ride to the condo was short, uneventful and he found himself finally at his destination as the skies darkened into a purple hue and the sun disappeared beyond the horizon. Quickly, Aren tossed his duffle bag on a bed on the first floor, not bothering to unpack much, save to change into a pair of swimming trunks and a tank top. He left his hair falling at his shoulders, not bothering to pull it back out of his eyes as he all but raced towards the dancing flames he'd caught on the way in.

As his steps closed in on the others, Aren's gaze fixated on a glimmer of flaming hair that reminded him of someone familiar. He'd not seen the girl in years, and the likelihood that he'd ever see her again was slim, but his feet willed him to go check. The native american inched closer, and he couldn't mistake the glowing green eyes as a coincidence. "Shandra?" He exclaimed excitedly in barely more than a whisper. No way that this was happening. No freaking way.

But she was off to the side, exactly how she would have been before. He of course was taller, his voice deeper, and she looked lost in her own little world that she might not have noticed his quiet approach. Suavely, Aren leaned down so that his lips would be next to her ear, "I think, I should hold you to that promise of a dance." He whispered coyly, the grin on his face evident in his tone.

Omega - Quick Lies, Fun Truths

Carlos took in what Evie was saying, with little bit of effort. He only really agree with what she said and his mind was going every which way and exhausted whatever it was it could to say otherwise.His eyes half opened in consideration to what he would have to humor her for. When she asked the question though it wasn't so simple. and he did somewhat hesitate. With someone lovable and as gorgeous as her just floating beside him, that would have been abit awkward in a way, not that either of them had respect for most boundaries. Before his hesitance could catch though, his rapid thinking had him blurt out the first lie to come to mind. " A Pepsi". He willed his pulse not to jump as he said it but sighed. He decided not rather quickly to be abit more honest.

" I'm not exactly sure anymore. What I want I could probably get. It's complicated.". He realized that went against the poitn of what she was doing and he went silent for awhile. Still thinking and trying to sort those feelings she was talking about what little he could as he was. He decided to change the subject, rather abruptly and randomly, though random was influenced by her. Without completely registering on a conscious level he spoke again, " Your little kiss and dunk reminds me Chica. I never did get anything for winning that bet. What can we do about that now I wonder."

Abit of his devious nature seeped into it but he was hoping more to just change the mood and maybe deal with the other stuff later. Happy memories and the prospect of maybe getting something he was owed was enough to get him to think abit more positively. Which helped alleviate some of the negative and random like why the fish avoided him. He didn't blame them but it still kinda hurt. He could try to hypnotize them which he never tried before, but he wasn't sure. He also like his usual self didn't want to use his powers.

Omega: React, Over

Jacen was still a bit shell-shocked, but he could still function. He looked over at Shandra as she responded, instinctively turning at the mention of Narcissa, expecting their fearless leader to be standing behind the group, ready to nuke the lot of them. He turned back around just as quickly, chiding himself for the paranoia. He was a bit on edge after all.

Wilbur seemed to be growing bored with them, trying once again to leave, this time with Hoshi. At this point Jacen had no desire to go up the mountain. All the delegating and drama had killed the mood for it anyways.

Jacen turned from the other boy as Maddy piped up again, explaining something about Choking on puke. A crease appeared between his eyebrows as he considered this. “Um, good job then.” He said, not a very good detector of the humor in Maddy’s tone. Just another thing he still had to get used to with mainlanders, even after all this time.

He looked down at Leion before frowning, and averting his eyes to his feet. If it was that awkward to see him knocked out, how much more weird would it be when he woke up?

His eyes jumped back up as he felt a new person approach from behind him and Shandra. The vibrations Aren created were muffled by the sand, but he could still tell when he stopped to crouch on the other side of Shandra, Whispering something Jacen couldn’t quite make out. Jacen’s mind moved a million miles an hour, this was just what they needed, some super-villain to sneak up on them and ruin this vacation too. Kraken moved the instant he heard Aren start speaking, jumping over Shandra and into the native American, wrapping an arm under the man’s shoulder and pulling what he didn’t know to be his fellow Omega to the ground with him.

Jacen was outside the Native’s guard a second later, fist cocked back to deliver a punch to the face before he stopped. The kid looked kinda familiar… Maybe he’d seen him around at the acada-… Oh.

Perhaps next time he should look at the person he's tackling before-hand.

Woops.

Shandra barely tensed up when she felt someone start to lean down by her. At first she thought it was Antonio, that seemed to be one of his favorite things to do, so she was prepared to just keep a straight face and continue to stare out at Alek while she waited for him to put Leion down.

Only...it wasn't the familiar Spanish accent voice she was expecting. It hadn't been Antonio. And she nearly jumped from that. Actually...she did in a way. She moved herself forward into a tucked roll and accidentally may have knocked Alec off his feet with her powers. When she realized what she'd just done, Shandra was actually very happy she hadn't done anything worse.

Shandra looked towards where Alek was with an apologetic smile for accidentally making both him and Leion suffer through her surprised leak.

"Sorry," She mouthed towards Alek.

She had a feeling that breaking a vase might be one thing, but breaking a person wouldn't go over as well. Though considering it was Alek...still, she didn't think that Emma or Scott would find him as replaceable as the kitchen objects she kept breaking.

And it seemed that Jacen had launched himself over her just as she had started the tuck and roll as well. Were they being attacked again? Seriously?

The redhead turned back to see just who Jacen had taken to the sandy ground behind her. Dark skin...long hair...

He kind of looked familiar.

And hadn't he said something about a ---

Glowing green eyes widened. Peta was the name to the face that had grown a good deal in the last few years. He'd definitely matured but even if he'd gotten a bit taller and more filled out the Native American Accent and overall look about him had stayed the same. Mostly.

"Jacen, wait...wait...I think its okay," She spoke out, standing up to her feet and looking rather...curious towards Peta though most of it was intertwined with the suspicion of something being up as well.

First Nathan from a few years ago...and now Peta? Who was next - Doc? --- She definitely hoped not, seeing as she was fairly sure she had killed him.

She couldn't believe he still remembered about her "owing" him a dance. Hadn't she scared him off from dancing...? Something in her told he was going to be stubborn though...and she had no want to bring up the past. Not now...definitely not a past that she had left where they hadn't gotten all the facts. What would he think when he found out that the shy, innocent little redhead he remembered hadn't exactly kept her nose clean?

Seriously, what was he doing there?

Shandra shook her head lightly to herself, not sure if she honestly wanted to know...

"I'm...going to get a drink," Shandra said just loud enough for Alek, Jacen, Maddy, and Peta to hopefully hear her.

Without waiting for them to respond, the twenty year old mutant turned around - twisting her feet in the sand to do so - and walked off towards where she could pretend to be getting something to drink. Leaving her outer shirt as a pillow for Leion and all.

As she actually did get a bottle of water and hid out where no one could see her without actually looking for her, for once not with her powers, Shandra remembered that she was supposed to be guarding Leion's safety. Oops.

Hopefully Maddy was a smart enough girl to watch out for her friend...Shandra didn't exactly do well with things from the past randomly showing up...

Alpha: ..... Not always strong.

User ImageGideon's body made no movement when she slapped him across the face. Couldn't be good for her hand. Given her actions toward it which was none other then simple none use, he was fairly certain she might of broken a bone or two. even if she didn't it obviously hurt her regardless of what her face hid. "I know a lot more then you think." He said as she turned and looked to the water as her hands seemed to check her hair at the mention of it earlier. He listened to her tell him she knew that it didn't go away. That was good well at least a good start, as it meant she accepted the truth of the matter. Then she went on to spout off about how he couldn't imagine what it was like. Guess the girl knew nothing about him. She was there for the Hydra nonsense wasn't she.

He listened to her words and watched her actions. He knew that words can say one thing while ones body may say another. When she was quiet he watched her a moment. He knew this was hard on her. It would be hard on anyone to of gone through her situation. "I haven't always been...." He started to say when she cut him off. He listened and when she talked about a time when those they cared for were cold and dead he would understand. Gideon sighed at that thought. It was one that bothered him quite often, his long life span. That unless he was killed by some unnatural force he would long out live those he cares about. And would do so in his prime if Logan was any indication.

He knew this wasn't going to be easy to really get her to talk. He had originally wanted to ask her to talk. He didn't want to have to in a sense force it upon her as he currently has. It was just her actions earlier with Bella showed him that it wasn't an option. Never mind the faint sent of blood from her and the obvious wound to her wrist. He knew if he tracked her scent away from the party area on her trek there. He would likely find the spot where the wound on her wrist came from. He knew even in this state Cissa was to proud of a person to harm herself, so others had to be invoked somewhere on that trip over. If he had Bella's hearing he may of even heard it take place. Though he noticed no indication from Bella on it so she must not of been ease dropping into that area when it happened.

"I may have appeared strong and the aggressor in the time that you have known me. But that is in no way the truth." Gideon said moving to stand a bit closer to her. His eyes shifted from hers to the water. "Your right I don't know what it was like to be tortured for only a week and a half. But I know just from seeing that room and enough of people like Belasco to know what went on in that room. I lived through it myself." He then turned to look at her again his eyes were soft and for once he showed someone other then Bella that his eyes can show pain. Before she could interupt he spoke again.

"I wasn't the hunted, the prey no. I was the experiment, the tool, the weapon. You were born of loving parents. Raised to take on their legacy shown love compassion. Had a family." Here is was the things in life that bothered him. As messed up as kids at the academy saw as there lives they all still had a family. Gideon closest thing to a family is his genetic progenitor Wolverine. "I wasn't tortured and mentally raped for a week. Try the first 16 years of my life. I was trained from the time I could walk to fight. The first word out of my mouth was weapon. That was what all the scientists referred to me as if it wasn't my designation or experiment number X-20." He looked at his hand absently for a moment he hated talking about all this as much if not more then she did about what happened in limbo. "I am only strong because I had to be if you prefer created and forced to be. I was only a weapon after all if I wasn't strong then I was to be disposed of. When I screwed up I was beaten, when I performed as they wanted I was beaten. And it only got worse after they triggered my mutation when it was decided that it was taking to long for it to show naturally. Then it only became a running to see how much there weapon could take. When they decided my training had progressed far enough and had been tested enough to where they were sure I had an eighty percent chance of surviving. I got this oh so wonderful metal laced to my bones." When he mentioned that he let the claws slide out for a moment only to retract them again. He stopped there for a bit to give Cissa time to speak again. He hadn't even mentioned how he took his first life at the age of eight. He had said enough now to hopefully show he understood. While the situations of it happening were different the actions that happened to them were the same.

"So you see if anyone here knows what you went through when you were tortured....I do."

Alpha: Lying to a Lie Dector

She thought he probably thought he was sly. With her eyes closed, her hearing had peaked letting her hear more than voice inflection. Heart rates tended to change when somebody wasn't being entirely truthful. But it wasn't a matter to press on at the moment. His comment about a Pepsi made her laugh and really it wasn't far off her own thought pattern at the moment.

"Funny, I want a fifth of Jack Daniels and a steak," She muttered her mind's foremost thoughts. Her life was often about whims. Not all whims were grand and mysterious.

After her own mutterings she listened to him as she floated along in the water. His thought patterns initially defeated the purpose of what she was trying to get him to understand. Sometimes life was as easy as you let it be. His next comment made her smirk remembering the fun of their high school games.

"You never did name your price," She responded as her feet found the ground below her. She stood with the water at shoulder height. This line of thought humored her. For a moment, he seemed a bit lighter and less serious which (even if it was temporary) made her feel good that she could help for a moment. Continuing, she said, "So we can't do anything about it. You have to pick your prize."

She watched him for a moment and then watched the fish flit away from him. Walking over, she motioned for him to stand. Turning her back to him she explained, "Maybe my positive energy will cancel out your negative. Not trying to be cute just follow my lead."

She stood in between him and the fish keeping to her usual stillness. With her left hand, she moved his right arm to mirror her own. The back of her hand rested against his palm. She held onto his hand by intertwining her fingers with his at the knuckles so she could move the tips of her fingers towards the fish. For leverage, she held onto his left arm with her own. Her movement was well thought out, almost graceful. Evie could move her muscles to a near perfection most could only dream of.

"Be still. Slow your breathing," She whispered as she held her fingers on her right hand straight out towards a school of fish. Keeping her movement as fluid as possible (as to not seem so foreign in the water), the fish started to n** around her finger tips. Then she whispered evenly not to change her breathing, "Slowly straighten your fingers and keep with the movement of my arm."

The fish kept with their pace and kept nipping around.

Alpha - Catalina - Giving Space Can Be Hard

User Image Raine smiled at Christian, who was quite the gentleman about offering to get her a non-alcoholic beverage. Some might think she was a prude, indeed it looked like she might be the only one not drinking in the current situation, but she really didn't mind. She didn't have problems with drinking, she was just too in control of herself all the time to let her guard down. With her powers, as was witnessed earlier this evening, if she lost control of herself she could lose control of her powers. It was the thing that brought her to the Academy in the first place, and she was not about to do anything that would sacrifice the work she was putting in. They might be on vacation, but she had a feeling that the faculty would know each and every thing that was going on. Telepathic mutants could be dangerous that way.

She smiled as he finally went to the source of the red cups to find her a non-alcoholic beverage, the brunette giving him a grateful smile. It was good to see he was willing to loosen up a little and dance with her. With everything that was going on, it would be really easy for him to sink into his own state of depression until Sophie made a decision as to what she would do. It was sweet how much he cared for her, and it made her feel good to know that her friend was in such good hands. They would take care of each other.

"It's not the number of feet you have, it's how you use them," she replied in a joking manner, dancing with the song. It was clear that he was letting her take the lead, which she didn't necessarily mind. While she was not the best dancer at the party, her body had a way of moving to the music, her skin taking on a slight glitter as she slowly release some of the energy she had been holding in from the fight earlier. Unless one knew her and her powers, they would thick that it was just the light of the fire playing tricks off of her almost obnoxiously clear skin. The smile on her face only faltered when an annoying kid gave her friend a rather unfriendly poke on the shoulder, though when he handed Chrisitan a cup that was then handed to her, filled with Sprite, she smiled, calling a thank you to both males over the sound of the new song.

"Thank god you hit that streak, I'm parched," she said with a smile, taking a deep drink from the cup to quench her thirst. They started dancing once more, Raine able to easily tell there were things weighing on his mind. Of course she did not have to ask to know what the main one was, she just wished there was more she could do to make him feel better. Biting on her lower lip as she danced with him, the brunette moved slightly closer to him so that she didn't have to yell so loud, ticking her curls behind her ears as she gave him a semi-knowing look.

"Christian, if you ever want to talk…about anything…you know I'm here, right?" The sounds of a scuffle drew her momentary attention, hazel eyes moving through the crowd to catch a moment of the fight between Kerrigan and Jack. However, as quickly as they wavered they were back on him once more, never once missing a beat of the song that pulsed through the bonfire.

Alpha: At ends with himself
User Image
Alek rolled his eyes, not once, but at three different occasions. First when Jacen disapproved, then for Shandra, and then once more for Maddy. When Maddy reached to grab Leion from Alek's arms, he gripped tightly, before letting go, realizing a fight over his body could cause a casuality, or two.

"Well fine... I can tell when Im not welcomed." He started before being shoved by Shandra. He turned to her and it didn't take long at all for a dry cut throat reaction left his lips.

"You b***h... what the hell was that for? Im not taking him am I?!" He clenching his fist, that was steaming in the heat of the air, indicating at just how cold it really was. As if the slight lightening of his eyes didn't indicate enough of his power emergence.

"It would be a real shame if you all end up with a friend that feels out of place. You just make sure that you all tell him your the reason he had no one to talk to when he wakes up and remembers things he did in a drunken state." He turned and started down the summit.

"Im out. I have some packing to do." He spoke loud enough that everyone at the party could hear.

The air and Shandra... and this new guy, grew suddenly cold as Alek stormed past them, pushing them both aside on either side of him. His body cold, leaking a n** into the skin. That burning sensation you get when you hold ice to long. "Move it or loose it people." He called behind him as he worked his way down the beach and back to his room.

Once there he looked to his suitcases that were already packed with what little he had. Why had life been so difficult for him. Did he not take a near fatal wound for someone that had nothing to do with him? Did't that count for something? He didn't care. All these...self righteous pricks could go ******** themselves for all he cared. He hated being the outsider. He understood why he was here, and he owned up to that. He made his mistakes. But what he didn't understand now, was why everytime he made an attempt to gain any type of respect it only pushed him further away.

His thoughts were ripped from him when his phone ring. "Who the hell..." He looked down and saw a familiar area code... followed by an all to familiar 7 numbers. Why the hell was Daniel call him... He thought he ended that all to well already. Apparently he was wrong.

"This better be good. You got 10 seconds."

1...2...3...4...10

"No Daniel! Im done. Don't you understand anything you dip s**t! Yeah you heard right. Im coming home, and no I dont want to see you. I swear to god if you come anywhere near me Ill freeze your freakin..."

"Your at Catalina... how the... what..." Alek turned around at a knock at his door. Alek's breath left him. Tears rose in his eyes. It was easy to be a douch bag to Daniel over the phone, the computer... anything like that. But in person... Alek still hurt to much. He tried the rebound thing. That didn't seem to work, he felt sorry for Everett... even if things would have worked for them. But Everett was the one that left with out so much a good bye.

"Bella... Evie...anyone...if you can hear me... please... help me..." He whispered to the window with flowing curtains from the wind outside. He had not moved, he was still stationary. Tears rolling down his cheeks. There was a click in the room as heat started to flow through the vents as his room had gotten colder.

"Alekzander... open this door. I just want to talk. "

"Please..." He pleaded to the wind once more... his heart beathing, his blood going cold in fear... nervousness.

"Hear me out please." The voice behind the door was restless.
