Finally, the clock showed the time to start and Peri spoke up, having basically ignored everyone thus far... other than to note that there were two pretty ladies over there with the kids. The two kids seemed to know each other and had kept each other occupied while waiting, so he was glad that he hadn't had to chase kids away from any of the incubators.
He cleared his throat as he stepped forward. "Alright, a couple of rules. No touching anything unless told you can and no wandering off. Alright then." He glanced at his clipboard and started walking off, figuring that the group could figure out that they should follow him. He stopped in front of an incubator, glancing inside for a moment before turning to the two kids and the parents.
"This is Zyanya's green dragon egg." He pointed to the incubator, where an egg lay, covered in moist leaves. "Any questions?" He asked the girl, though left it open for the parent to ask as well... Most of the parents seemed curious about their kids' dragons. Probably because they'd be the one housing them.

Zyanya looked into the incubator and gazed at her green dragon egg. when asked if there were questions she found herself wondering what she should ask.
"Because my dragon is a green does that mean he or she will be green too?" she asked curious since the dicussion she had jsut been having with Valens had brushed teh subject breifly. "Oh and will a green be able to fly?" she asked thinking to what Narayan had told her.

Peri nodded to the girl's question. "Yes, a green dragon will be green in color. Though, greens are often mistaken for black dragons when they are a hatchling due to the fact that they're a very dark green, so dark that they are almost black. And yes, greens can fly."
He waved the group to follow along to the next incubator. "This is Valens' silver dragon egg." He pointed to where the egg sat in a bed of snow. He glanced over at the horse boy. "Any questions?" His eyes flicked upwards to include the parents in that question.

Valens looked over at the incubator that his dragon was in, trotting over to look it over, "Woah! Shiny." He said, tail flicking back and forth as he looked it over, what a pretty colored egg. He looked over at the man that was telling them about their eggs seeming for a moment thoughtful. Anything that he wanted to ask? Thinkthink... no. Not really, well... "What is it? Is the dragon a boy or girl?" He wondered if you could tell through an egg.
Lamiah gave a little giggle at the question her son had asked, "What are the Silver like temperment wise? Anything that we should worry about?" She asked, hoping that it was a going to be a good dragon that her son was getting to work with, "And is there anywhere that we can find books on them? So we can be ready for the little one when it hatches?"
Valens had his face pressed against the side of the incubator, breath fogging it up a little watching the egg as if he thought it was going to do something. When he heard his mothers words he looked back to the Perilas, "Oh! Oh! How long till it hatches?"
LaVey seemed to have no questions, instead waiting for the answers to the questions that the man had been presented with before adding to the list.

Peri shrugged at the boy's question. "You'll find out when it hatches." Unfortunately, there wasn't a way to tell the gender of the hatchling before it actually hatched. He wondered if D-corp was working on that in one of those research labs they had.
He moved onto the woman's questions. "Silvers are some of the nicer dragons. They love justice and hate cruelty. They also love gems, like almost all of the dragons." He smiled at the woman before moving on. "Well, some bookstores have books on dragons, you just have to hunt." If it weren't for that man, he'd invite the woman up to his office to read some of his books.
Luckily, he was distracted by Valens' next question. "Well, it'll be a while still, but you'll be contacted when it starts to hatch."

Valens's tail swished and his ears flicked back and forth in an excited sort of way. Ahh! Mystery egg! So there could be anything in there huh? Well not really anything since it had to be a boy or a girl but... it was like a raffle! He pressed his face against the side of the incubator again to watch the egg.
"Ahh, I see. Thats good to hear." She murmured, sounding quite relieved that her baby was getting a nice dragon. A lover of justice even! Adorable! She smiled brightly as she walked over closer to get a peek at the silver egg that had her son's full attention, "Its very pretty isn't it?"
Valens nodded rapidly, "Looks like jewelry." He said, tail swishing that much more quickly.
LaVey watched Lamiah and Valens as they cooed over the egg, thoughtful. Even standing here looking at the egg it was rather hard to believe that there would be a dragon living with them soon enough, "Are their diet like that of any predator?" He asked, deciding it would be good to know exactly what the dracling would want to eat so it could be on hand. As much as he could picture Lamiah making cookies for it he doubted that would be amongst its normal diet.

Peri nodded to the man, after grinning at the boy and mother cooing over the egg, rather amused. "Yes, dragons are carnivores."
With that, he herded the group out.

He was shaking, nervous. A dragon! He'd never actually seen one before they'd gotten the one on Halloween. But that was a small dragon, no more the size than a human hand. This one? Who knew. And it made him a bit anxious to see it, what was coming into his house.
Canti blinked, feeling the hand in his grip trembling as they approached the lab. Onyx eyes glanced up to Lucas quietly, watching as the college student made all sorts of various funny faces ranging from widened eyes to thin lips. The ant gave the hand a small squeeze, effectively attracting his guardian's muli-colored gaze. And when he had it, the child smiled broadly, reassuringly. A dragon! It was going to be the coolest thing they ever had. It would be like Soap, and help him with his chores, and then they could go out and enjoy the sun.
Seeing his adoptive son brimming with reassurance and excitement, Lucas felt himself calming slightly. The ant just had that effect on him; even Keiran himself was beginning to warm up to the kid and his unconsciously catering ways. Slowly, but surely, a smile flitted shakily onto the photographer's face. "You ready?" He asked as they reached the doors of their predetermined destination, one gloved hand reaching up to nervously place itself against the handle.
"Ready as I am going to be ever." Canti responded with a nod, his antennae twitching faintly with his enthusiasm. And so the door was opened, allowing them entrance to the cold halls where he had been told some sort of aid was awaiting them.

Peri glanced up at the clock. Eh, it was a little after time. And only one kid had shown up. Oh well, he'd only had two on the list. He glanced at the kid. An ant boy. Fun. "Hello." He greeted boy and parent. "This way, please."
After a moment, the man stopped in front of an incubator. It appeared to be filled with rocks. "See the large one in the middle? That's your egg, not a rock. Lindworm eggs like to blend in with their surroundings." He glanced at the boy. "Any questions?"

At the greeting, Lucas gulped and nodded somewhat towards Peri. He was perfectly content to just stay in the hall, though the hand latched around his fingers urged him otherwise. Upon seeing the incubator, he became curious despite himself, leaning over the ant to peer in.
"Really?" Canti hushed, incredulously craning his neck towards the rock-filled place. Questions? "Is that meaning it is to be invisible always?" He wondered, those thin antennae twitching as he thought over the scenario of never seeing his dragon. That might be sad... Maybe he'd paint it?
"How big is it gonna get?" Lucas interjected, looking worriedly between Canti, the egg, then Peri. "And is it... vicious?" He ignored the ant's questioning gaze at that, rather concerned for his couches and other kids at this point.

Perilas cuckled and shook his head. "No, not invisible. Just as an egg, the lindworm is designed to blend in."
The man turned to the parent. "Well, lindworms aren't the largest of the dragons. Their main length is body length and not as much height like most of the other dragons. Lindworms fall into the neutral category as far as good or bad."

Mellifee rushed into the room. The usually calm child didn't like running, especially when her tail tended to hinder her movements, but she wouldn't keep still since she learned that she was going to see her dragon egg. Once inside she looked around and spotted the man. She ran to him, or rather attempted to, and asked, almost out of breat: "Where is precious friend?" And then remembered she was supposed to greet people first. She paused to get her wind back. "Hmm... Sorry. Hello, can I see my dragon egg please?"
Ebony followed her silently, she was holding what seemed a modified child's scooter under one arm. She had let Mel ride it through the hallway knowing the little larvae child had some difficulty getting about but had insisted in getting it back before entering. She nodded at the teacher.

Damaris was beside herself with excitement, prepping her father to behave himself while she was visiting her egg. It was tough work taking care of one's Dadda, particularly when he was having one of his "phases".
"In case I take too long, I putcha some more pills in your case," she motherhenned him, shaking the pillcase S-D kept in his duffle bag.
"Yes, dear," sighed S-D, pulling into block of the parking lot.
"An' don't ruin your apa-tite, neither 'cause you said you was taking me an' Taylor an' Tabansi for pizza!" she was already unbuckling her seatbelt before they even found a parking space.
"Wouldn't dream of it, dollface," S-D rubbed at his tired eyes as he parked the car. "I'll be back in half an hour, okay?"
"'Kay, Dadda!" she slapped a wet kiss on his cheek and practically flew from the car.
She jogged her way into the building, sliding on her backpack.
