Snowing Rainbows killer_klaw Snowing Rainbows killer_klaw Snowing Rainbows "I didnt notice..." Chloe lied. She could easily feel the cold breeze on her cheek as it pasted by. Looking at the River, she began to watch as little fish swam their way down stream. Never before in her life had she ever been this close to a boy, and she never expected to. Yet here she was, in the arm of a boy she just met. *he pulled his arm back from around her shoulders* are you afraid of me? *he asked, not realizing he was thinking it until the question left him* "If I was, do you think I would be sitting this close to you?" Her answer came out honest, and true, even if it came out a bit snappish. Immediately regretting snapping at him, she turned to face him. "I'm sorry...I didn't mean to snap..." *he smiled* Don't apologize, now we're even *Sabin looked up at the sky* it's almost weird being out here with someone other then Steel, I always thought I was a loner, but it's actually nice, having someone to talk to "Yeah, it is." Her expression softened, and she smiled again. Letting her mind wander again, she unknowingly leaned against Sabin, most of her weight against his. "The breeze feels nice..." *his body stiffened against hers for an instant, then he relaxed, his arm wrapping around her shoulders again* yeah, it does *he agreed without really thinking about it, not realizing that he was actually feeling the breeze when he had thought he'd lost his sense of touch*

Maybe...*he murmured, looking at her* I haven't had anyone I could trust in a long time, and...I...I don't know what i'd find, if I let my mind wander, I've always tried not to focus on the past.... Chloe averted her gaze to his, wondering what he meant. no...well kind of, but that wasn't what I meant, I used to let my mind wander while i did the work on the ranch, it kept my mind off the work, somehow I had convinced myself that I enjoyed doing all the work, and that being famous as Blood was all I had ever dreamed of, my dad backed me up, always told me he was proud of me and that I was doing really well putting the animals before myself, called me strong for how much I could do on so little food, that b*****d never told me the part he was cashing in, he spent his money, which I earned for him unknowingly, on drugs, alcohol, and enough food to feed a king every night, I on the other hand, struggled with what little money came into my hands, I used it mostly to care for the animals on the ranch and used as little as possible on my own food, when I found out, it brought me to reality, that was the night I ran away, taking nothing but my show clothes and my fathers best horse, not that that man had enough brain cells left to tell his best horse from a sick mule *Sabin's arm tightened around Chloe as he spoke of his father, his eyes closed tight, forcing back both his memories, and the fresh tears*
