Lee shook her head and giggled softly, looking in the direction of the dining room as she spoke. "You'll have to wait until Jeremy's gone for the bikini part. Sorry." Before she could drag Rory to the pool, the soft sound of footsteps could be heard coming toward them.
A servant girl, rather gorgeous if Lee had anything to say about it, walked toward them, somewhat timid looking as she approached. She seemed to have been waiting until the couple was finished chatting to make her move. "M-mister McCormick? I-I saw what you did in there, and I was wondering..." She looked down, her long, wavy black hair falling in her face. "Can you speak to my mother? Is she here, as well?" Soft, silver eyes looked up at the boy, searching his face a bit, the girl awaiting an answer that seemed quite important to her.

Rory looked down at the girl, not sure how to answer her. "I donnae really hae much say in who talks t' me. I donnae see anyone claimin' t' be your mum, which likely means she's at rest, girl. I'm sorry."

The girl shook her head lightly, bowing a bit to Rory before smiling up at him. "N-no, that's a good thing. Thank you. That's an amazing gift you have." She bowed again, keeping her gaze on the boy as she did so. "How long will you be staying here, Mister McCormick?"
Lee spoke up, answering for him, a bit confused as to why the girl was giving her no attention at all. It was her parents house, after all. "We'll be here just for the week." Looking behind her, she bit her lip, turning back to speak to the girl again. "Lydia, could you go see when Jeremy plans to leave?"
"Yes, Miss Lee." The girl bowed before heading off toward the dining room.
"I didn't know Lydia's mom died..." Lee frowned a bit, feeling a little bad for the girl now.
***
Lydia walked into the dinning room, heading for Jeremy and leaning forward to speak softly to the boy. "Miss Lee would like to know when you were planning to head home."

Rory hugged Lee. "Well, you hae been gone awhile. You know now an' can comfort her now. Were you friends wi' her?"
***
Jeremy looked up at the servant girl, already at the door and getting his jacket on, having thanked the Katans for dinner. "I'm leaving now, actually. Let Miss Lee know that I'll return tomorrow to take her and Rory shopping."

Lee shook her head softly. "No, not really. But she always seemed nice, I guess." She looked down. "I'm not really great at comforting people, though, ya know? I dunno what I'd say."
***
Lydia blinked, stepping a bit closer, as to not be heard. "Y-you're interested in Miss Lee, correct? You'd like to speak with her alone?" She bit her lip, hoping the two of them could help each other out.

"You comfort me well enough all th' time," Rory answered, shrugging and giving her a soft smile.
***
Jeremy gave her a suspicious look. "I'd like to, yes. What's you're angle?"

Resting her head against his shoulder, she shrugged. "I guess I just get lucky with you." Sighing, she peered up at the boy. "So, are you really not gonna try to learn to swim? I mean, I can understand that, with what happened, but that won't happen again if you stay in the shallow end." She wasn't sure he even knew about the shallow end of a pool. "Or we could just sit in the hot tub, if that's any better." Then again, he probably didn't know what that was, either...
***
"My angle, sir? I simply want to spend time with Mister McCormick. Alone." She looked back at the boy, innocent enough. "But, I suppose, if you're leaving..." She hoped he'd changed his mind and give some kind of protest.

"Hot tub sounds fun," Rory all but purred, grinning at her. "An' I'll try learned t' swim so long as Jeremy ain't here t' drown me again."
***
Jeremy smirked, taking his coat back off. "Yes, why not ask Lee to come see me off. Tell her I want to discuss the shopping trip a little more with her before I leave."

Lee hopped a bit with excitement. "Seriously?" She bit her lip, kissing him lightly before looking in the direction Lydia had run off in. "He should be leaving soon, I bet..."
***
"Yes, sir." She didn't take a moment longer before heading back to Lee and Rory, walking up to the couple with a small, pleasant smile. "Mister Jeremy says he's leaving now. He requested, however, to speak with you, Miss Lee, before heading out. I believe he wanted to discuss the shopping trip tomorrow."
Sighing, Lee rubbed the back of her neck, looking up to Rory. "Are you coming, too?"
Lydia interrupted, stepping forward a bit to give herself a voice. "A-actually, he requested to speak with you alone, Miss Lee." The two girls looked to Rory, to see if he still planned to join her.

Nodding a bit to Rory, Lee reluctantly left in search of Jeremy, not having to look far before she found him in the entryway, not exactly looking like he was in a hurry to leave. "You needed to talk to me?" She tried not to sound as annoyed with him as she was, even keeping herself from frowning at the sight of him.
***
Lydia blinked, looking off and holding her chin as she thought. Eventually, she shook her head, hair tossing around a bit as she did. "I'm afraid not." Of course, it wasn't as if she wouldn't have normally went to look for him by now, but she had other plans. "But I can fetch one of his swimsuits for you if you'd like. Or you could pick one out yourself. Mr. Katan has plenty to choose from." She smiled sweetly, looking as if she hoped to be of some kind of help.

"I was wanting to talk with you about the shopping trip tomorrow," Jeremy said, shrugging one shoulder. "What time would you like me to come by? Also, would clothes be all he needs or should we go by other places, too?"
***
Rory bit his lip. "Should prolly ask him first, though, yeah? Ain't right just t' take somethin' tha' ain't yours."

Lee cocked her head, raising an eyebrow with confusion. "Uh... I... I dunno. What else would he need?" Why was Jeremy trying to be helpful? "When to come over, though... I'd say after lunch would be best. Dunno if I'll even be awake before then. Maybe two?" She shrugged, actually talking to the boy somewhat casually.
***
"Very well. I'll help you find him." And she knew right where he was, too. She started to walk, though kept her pace slow, occasionally glancing toward Rory. "You and Miss Lee are going swimming? That must be nice... I've never used the pool myself, but I've always wanted to..."

"He wouldn't want to get some gifts for his family? I thought he mentioned sisters," Jeremy said, putting his coat on. "Tomorrow at two. That'd be a good time."
***
Rory followed along behind. "You cannae swim? Or is it tha' th' help ain't really allowed t' use it?" He shrugged a little. "I ain't gonna gae swimmin', either. I donnae know how."

Lee's face softened, nodding a bit at the idea. "He might... I could ask." As Jeremy started to put his coat on, Lee looked down, her fists balling up a bit as she contemplated whether or not to ask... "You didn't really mean it, did you? The thing about Rory and the police... That's... a horrible thing to say to someone."
***
"They try to keep us busy. If we're spending our time swimming, we're not doing our jobs. It's not so much that we can't, we just have better things to do, I suppose." She frowned a bit, clearly still wishing she could tag along. "I can swim, though. I don't know many who can't that live around here. But I suppose pools aren't as common where you're from..." She smiled a bit up at him, trying to sound understanding. Raising her eyebrows with surprise, she tilted her head. "If you're not swimming, what will you be doing?"
