Okay,
Ground beats Fire. Earthquake is Ground. Earthquake beats fire. If you wanted to avoid it, then use a Charizard.
And I didn't use earthquake every time, because I knew you'd think I was being cheap, so I threw in some random attacks and a torterra. Happy?

why just, charizard? why hasn't anyone mentioned moltres? Have someone set up sunny day (solid rock camerupt xp ), then bam Specs Solarbeams from both charizard and moltres.

...
Why is everyone suddenly talking about ways to take down my team? I feel so... threatened... right now...

There will always be a reason not to give an amazing battle... this tournament will always be "HANDICAP"... and my steels defeated that fire... funny ain´t it?

Yeah. With some thought, a monotype match is easier than a regular match. Some types only have a handful of pokemon to use. You can pretty much predict your opponent's team. Then look in your type for something useful to counter with.

But you have to admit, if two trainers of equal skill go against each other, one of them has to win, and it's going to be the one with an advantage. If you do your best, but you didn't win you can be satisfied knowing you did all you can.

However, most people just use it as an excuse. You're most likely not going up against a trainer of equal skill, and the point of this tournament is to prove you have more skill than the next person, earning your spot as a gym leader.

Also, steel beating fire is nice since fire is both super effective, and resistant to steel, but I'm really surprised two psychics beat dark, since it's super effective, and immune.

Sure you know what your opponent has, but he/she knows the same about you. Even if a type has the advantage against another, it's how you deal with the fact that your going into a battle already on the short end of the stick, but it's really all about knowing your weaknesses and knowing how to compensate for them. As a gym leader, challengers aren't going to care about how "fair" or "unfair" it is to take an Ice type against a Ground team; they just want to win your badge and you will need to know how to stop them. Plain and simple.

I am really interested in what you predict my team is going to be, because while I have a lot of pokemon to choose from, most of them are never used.

Round 6 has been posted.

I'll go through the list of old match-ups whenever I get a chance but other than that, everything else has been updated. A few more competitors are close to being dropped due to inactivity, so be sure you all get your battles in asap.
