Leo took as much time as he need, he had two bags, one filled with food, other filled with blankets, and one suitcase filled with medication, he walked over to Katie then handed her these items,
"the soldiers will find you here, take these and leave quickly"

Katie nodded to Leo. "Thank you for all your help." She then called out to Emily, "Emily, if you want to survive, you may want to come with us. She looked at Scotty as she set the two bag straps over in a criss cross. She then set the suitcase on Scotty and picked up Scotty. Though everything was heavy and she felt very weighted down, she would do everything herself silently if no one offered to help. She did hope that all the halfbreeds that she had met would stay with her, at least until they were safely out of the city and away from the military's grasp.

The one who had called himself Nikolai walked up behind Katie. He was not, on the whole, a very altruistic person, but he was somewhat of a gentleman. "Might I be of assistance?"

Emily walked back into the room." Well, at least you ask before you help and scare the crap out of the person, unlike bird brain over there", she said to Nikolai, pointing at the bird lady. She then turned to Katie and said," Katie, I'll come with you for now. But make no mistake, if I find a better deal I'm going to jump for it", Emily said. Then she muttered under her breath, "Stupid doctor. Kicking us out into a blizzard...."

Katie smiled, "Eh, Thank you very much.. She handed Nikolai the unconcious Scotty with the suitcase of medicine, mostly because the other bags were connected to her already and she knew she could handle carrying the two bags alone. "As for going out in a blizzard it might give us the upper hand to give them the slip. Humans tend to get colder than most of us." She then turned to Nikolai, "I am entrusting you with a human that is very important to me." She gave him a look that said, 'please keep him safe.'

Nikolai took the unconscious human and the luggage and arranged them about his person so that he had one hand free while still having no chance of dropping anything. "Would it be more advantageous for him to ride than be carried? i can accommodate that if need be."

Emily slipped into her winter coat, feeling the pain go up her arm. "Dang, it feels worse.", she said. Emily tried to keep her mind off the pain, but it wasn't working quite well. "Hey, you guys ready yet? Or do I leave you all behind".

Nikolai shrugged and stretched, his body changing as he did. Fine black fur grew all over his body and his knees inverted, the changes continuing until he looked like some sort of bizarre fusion between a puma and his human form. "I don't know why I can do this, but I can. It's useful... sometimes."
He dropped to the floor, picking up the luggage in his quasi-feline jaws and flipping the human onto his back. He padded into the front hall, his clothes seeming to disappear into his animal form as he changed the rest of the way.
((I don't know if this is allowed, but I really hope it is. XD))

((I'll allow you. But to keep it limited you can only change into the more puma like state after sleeping a good rest. n.n; But be warned, this will make you more of a packmule...! >=D ))
Katie smirked slightly, things would be more interesting.. she thought as they headed out of the door and into the blizzard. "Eh anyone have an idea of where to go..?"

((Yes, but a pack mule that can rip your jugular out and has the intelligence of a human and a half. ^.^ ))
Nikolai turned to look at the assembled humans and half-breeds with an expression of someone suffering a group of idiots. He began padding off into the snowstorm, the biting wind and heavy snowfall not causing him any apparent difficulty or discomfort. After a few yards he turned to look at the group and sat the luggage down. Surprisingly, the voice that issued from his throat was entirely human, without the animalistic undertone it had possessed when he was in his halfway state. "Come on, kids. We don't have all day, and snow's a b***h to get out of my fur. I've got a pad nearby that I rent. The landlady's a bit of a weird one, but she doesn't mind if half-breeds come in. Says she's seen stranger, and we can't help the way we're made."
The last two sentences were a bit muffled, as Nikolai had picked up the luggage in his mouth and started padding off again.

Emily followed behind Nikolai, looking back at Katie."I hope we get there fast. Because tomorrow I'm getting the heck out of this city. Maybe I could convince Katie to.... nah, I'll stick by myself. No need to jepordise myself with another person tagging along." Emily felt her arm ache some more as they walked, absently rubbing her arm to try to ease the pain.

Jacqueline relished in the heat from the fire when the stranger left, feeling her skin prickle appreciatively. The silence was eerie as she slipped all her weapons carefully back into her boots, before she heard the sounds of the others she was originally tracking. They were going outside, into the freezing weather. She wasn’t sure if they knew who she was, and if she worked for the government or not, and decided to follow after them nonetheless. At least to hold out on their position until her superiors showed up.
Gritting her teeth to turn away from the warmth, Jacqueline bundled herself up in her winter clothes, hoping to at least trap some of the heat underneath her coat, before she opened the door and ran out into the snow after the others, following their body heat when the blizzard blurred her vision.

((Prepare for weirdness))
Nikolai raised a paw to knock on the door, the luggage hitting the door step in front of him, when it was opened. The house itself was average, in between two that looked very much like it. The woman who opened the door, however, was not. She was the kind of person who had gravity instead of gravitas, the kind of figure to whom the word 'equator' was more comfortable than 'waistline.' Her voice, when she spoke, was of the type that one associated with old ladies perpetually at work sewing or cooking. And the converstaion that she went through seemed to go rather backwards.
"Yes, I can see that!"
"Hello, Mrs. Cake. I brought some friends."
"Chicken broth, and it's just started to simmer."
"What's for dinner tonight, Mrs. Cake?"
"I'm sure it can stretch to fit that many, but it'll be late, mind you!"
"I have about... five or six with me. Can they stay for dinner?"
"Five dollars a night for each of them and not a penny less, and I want none of your friends Changeing in the house!"
"Would you mind if they rented for a few nights?"
"Sorry 'bout that, just give me a second..."
"Could you turn your premonition off, Mrs. Cake? It's getting rather annoying."
They paused for a few seconds, then Mrs. Cake hit her left ear a few times, as if trying to dislodge a troublesome bit of water from her ear canal. "Think that's about evened it out. Well, what're you lot lookin' at? Get in the house if ye've a mind to stay for dinner!"
She turned and bustled off. Nikolai stretched and caught the human as he fell off his back, having become a human... or at least a human-shaped being... who was, as a minor point, stark naked and apparently unaffected by the cold. He picked the luggage up and began to walk inside, but stopped, perhaps aware of the stares. "Don't ask just yet. I need to get some pants on before I answer your questions. And don't mind Mrs. Cake. She's a bit clairvoyant, that's all."

"Great, I'm in a nut house now", Emily thought. She turned to Katie and gave her a questioning look. You know the type. The type where it looks like "What the heck is this crazy place" kind of look. Emily was getting ready to turn around and walk out the door. This was too weird and too risky for her taste.

Katie couldn't help but giggle a little. She was quite amused with this Mrs. Cake.. though it probably was the cat side of her that could be amused. Though she had never met a clairvoyant before, so she wasn't sure why she was so amused. "Eh.. What is a clairvoyant?" She asked blushing while her eyes were closed and her body turned away from the naked Nikolai. Though she was one to stare.. She wasn't one to peek...
