"Raquel?"
Teagan poked her head out from the kitchen, looking ragged as she looked at her with swollen, red eyes.
"Raquel... he's gone." Those were the only words it took to send her back into her crying jag. "I- I wouldn't let him have his stash back, and he was throwing things and--"

But it was no use. She couldn't speak through her fear or tears.

Raquel furrowed her brow, shutting the door behind her, rushing over to embrace hr friend to try and calm her down. "Shhh...there there...." She soothed, stroking her hair slightly. "It's alright...It's alright...he didn't leave you. If he didn't take any of his things or even his guitar, He's commin back...He's just scared...." This whole situation was far too familiar to her. She remembered how scared and upset she was when she went through this. Though she wouldn't let Teagan give in. Nat was so close. He just needed a little more help.

"H-he grabbed me," she began again. "His grip was so tight, and he had this crazy look in his eyes like he was gonna hurt me if I didn't give him the drugs. I don't even know where in the heck I tossed that thing, but Raquel, I was so scared of him. I've never been scared of him."

Teagan pulled away out of pride. She could stand on her own two feet and sort things out in her head just fine, but what she couldn't do on her own was get Nat to come back.
With one more frustrated sob, Teagan finally let go of her sadness. Now she was just mad as hell.
"So what am I supposed to do now? Is this how he's gonna be every time he gets upset? Please tell me I haven't done something stupid, Raquel. I can't handle lettin' him go again."
PostPosted: Sat Oct 03, 2009 12:29 pm

Raquel frowned, letting er go, now crossing her arms as she thought it all out. "Nat's not like that..." She sighed. "He's the most gentle person I know, ecspecially to women. Sure he gets angry a hell sometimes but...Its just those drugs hun. Right now they're taking a serious toll on his body that he cant control. You're almost there though....I'm assuming he left because he was afraid of hurting you any more. Once he calms down and gets through this angry stage...he'll be almost out of the woods..." She furrowed her brow, making her way into the kitchen where she found the violent mess. She knelt down and started picking up pieces of the shattered mug, thinking this all through.

"You wont have to let him go. He just needs to beat this but he needs your help..." She threw away the glass before moving to pick up the knives that had been scattered across the floor. "Especially for this next part..." She furrowed her brow, looking suddenly sad. "I think its the hardest to be honest..." She admitted, standing a moment. "I gave in and gave him what he wanted so many times...but the one time I managed to get him past the violence... He got very sick... so sick I was afraid he was going to Die....and when he begged me for the drugs I-...." She shook her head. "He was so close and I let him slip back into it all...." She looked angry at herself as she picked up some more bowls that had fallen.

Teagan heaved a sigh. She honestly would have done the same thing... but...
"Raquel," she asked as she, too, helped clean. "Should I burn them? So we don't have that happen again. I'll take care of him, I swear, and I'll call the medics if he does start slipping. But I just have to know what to do..."
PostPosted: Sat Oct 03, 2009 1:01 pm

"...Well burning them or not is up to you..." She began, sighing a bit as she tried to get cabinets back in the right order again. "All I can say is dont give up. Nat needs this.... he needs you..." She pause a moment to look over to Teagan. "...He'll be fine once his body starts to purge itself of the drug once and for all. Thats going to the hardest part for him, since its a little scary and painful. He's past the violence stage now. The only violence left in his system is reserved for his own body... he's just going to need kind words and a soft touch to get him through...."

Something about how she said all that hit Teagan hard. He needed her. It wasn't just something she'd been trying to fool herself into believing.
Maybe she wouldn't burn the drugs now, since they might save his life if things went truly wrong.
"They're in there," she said, nodding to a cabinet he thankfully hadn't raided. "I... don't really know what to do, Raquel. Thanks for coming, though. I panicked."

A final sweep gave the place a somewhat normal appearance. Then it just looked messy, instead of ransacked. One thing back to normal, she thought. All she needed now was Nat.

Raquel nodded, reaching out to place a hand on Teagan's shoulder. "I'm just glad you're ok...adn that Nat will be..." She furrowed her brow, glancing at the clock. "Speaking of which...I dont know but i'm starting to get a little worried about him...." She bit her lips slightly, crossing her arms a bit tightly.

"I did wait a little while until I called you."
It had been over an hour, she knew that much. Wherever Nat was then, Teagan wasn't sure if she could reach him or not, let alone what state he was in. Everything was just too overwhelming.

"Should we look?"
With every question she asked. Teagan felt a part of her cringe. She was the one who was supposed to have answers, not be standing around waiting for them.

Raquel looked up at the clock once more before nodding. "It wouldn't hurt...Who knows what he could get himself into in this state..." She looked to Teagan before reaching for her coat. "Just to make sure he's alright you know?"

"Let's search around the house first. Maybe he just went outside..."

It was wishful thinking, she knew, but it couldn't hurt to try.
And so, out the went to search the rows of beautiful flowers that were in total contrast to the situation. Beautiful blooms swayed in the breeze and caught the sun, but all Teagan could see was the empty space between them all. Nat wasn't in the gardens.

So many regrets passed through her mind that Teagan didn't even know what she would do if they found him. Drag him back to the house? Reprimand him? Having Raquel there might only make the situation worse...
Well, she thought. Lorey didn't have to deal with Richard's insanity when he quit smoking for her. She had a real drug addict on her hands, but maybe this was repayment for her temper over the years.

"Let's check in the gazebo," she called out, thinking that could be another place they might find him.
PostPosted: Sat Oct 03, 2009 1:58 pm

Raquel nodded in agreement, following Teagan to search her property. Though with no luck they went to check the gazebo. Raquel highly doubted he was anywhere near her property, but was greatly surprised when they turned the corner, and saw a heaving, shaking lumped form on the floor of the gazebo.

"Nat?!" Raquel called, running to to check on him. Nat was barely conscious, shaking slightly, and white as a ghost witha slight fever. "...We need to get him inside..." She muttered as she looked him over concerned.

Teagan forgot everything the second she saw him.

He was so pale, shaking, and so sick that he was barely responsive.
"Baby?" she said, taking his face in her hands. "Honey, come on, we're gonna get you inside. Nat, we're gonna help you get inside, alright?"
Every time she repeated herself or begged for him to stand, she felt her heart breaking. This was her role in his life, she decided. They were meant to find each other, either to break him of his habit or to simply break him.

Raquel hadn't realized how strange it was for someone else to be calling 'her' Nat 'baby'. She wasn't jealous, it was jut a strange thing for her. She pushed that out of her mind though, coming up to take his arms and chest in her arms. "You grab his legs, from the knees to make it more comfortable. We'll get him inside and into bed." She instructed as Nat managed to look up wearily at her.

"R-ro-o-x-......?" He slurred as a strange dejavu swept over him. Though he quickly rerouted his brain to the present, looking everywhere till his hazy gaze rested on Teagan. "I-....I'mmm.....s-s-sorry......" His voice and whole being faded in and out of consciousness as he pleaded forgiveness from Teagan, even in this condition.

It broke her heart even more to hear him begging her for forgiveness. The weakness there reached her knees, making it more of a battle just to get him to the door of her house.
"Everything's fine," she said in a choked voice. "Everything's just fine..."
What a lie.

Once inside, the couch was the only place to put him, since they couldn't possibly get him up the stairs safely.
Teagan gathered blankets and pillows, but had no idea how to treat something like this. Colds and the flu were one thing, but withdrawal? She'd never seen such a thing.
