Olin stared at the girl. He was no medic. He could fight and cook, but that was about it. He stepped back from the group, feeling isolated. He didn't mind. He hadn't had much in the way of friends before joining the Pennet. He only wished that they would have thought things through before including this new member.

Calix saw Olin's change in posture out of the corner of his eye. He didn't want Olin to feel isolated from people that he had been far more acquainted with than himself, even if Olin's demeanor towards him was probably the most hostile of the entire group. "She's going to need something to eat once her neck is healed. Got anything she'll be able to manage?" he asked, looking at Olin.

Arc sighed at the other newcomer. "...Right..." He walked over to her and put his hand over her wound. He hand began to glow and it began to fix itself.

Her eyes widened immediately as she felt her pain dissipate. Pushing herself up again, Serena looked around her, stretched out her now fixed wings. Smiling, she turned back to the group and bowed, nearly falling over. "Thank you, thank you very much. I'm sorry to have been a burden." Her smile trembled on her lips as she stumbled, her shoulder hitting a tree as she leaned against it. The physical exertion she had been using through these last few days, she wanted to fall over and sleep for a week. "My name's Serena. Serena Moonstalk." And with that, she held out her hand, and the tattoo upon her arm was shown, the marking of a halfbreed, half angel half demon. Unknowingly, she was showing the people before her just what she was.

Calix shook Serena's hand, seeing the tattoo on her arm. He didn't know what it meant, but he didn't pay any mind to it. "I'm Calix. I would introduce the others, but I've only just met them myself. Here, have some water," Calix offered, holding the canteen out to her. "What happened to you?" he asked her.

Serena immediately recognized her error and pulled the sleeves on her torn cloak down. She smiled wearily at him. "Thank you." she said, grasping the canteen and drinking sparingly. At his next question, she looked away. ~Better to give a half truth~ she thought, then shrugged. "I'm not sure. I was attacked for apparently no reason in my sleep by hunters of some sort, and they've been tracking me. I hoped I gave them the slip, seeing as how I've been flying for about three or four days straight," Serena explained, crossing her arms over her chest.

"You've been flying for that long in that condition?" Calix asked, surprise clear in his voice, referring to the broken form she stumbled upon them in. "That's impressive," he continued, finishing his last statement with a crooked smile. I wonder what would want to attack such a...cute creature, he thought to himself.

Dammit...how much demon blood is going to come? He could hint that Serena was part demon but kept to himself. "I am Arc."

Olin simply ignored Calix. He Already had food made. He never wasted any, and he was sure the soup was warm enough. The girl intrigued him. She was obvious for what she was, and he felt it was best that it be revealed when she wanted it to be. Even so, he needed to talk to her. "Girl, a word if you please," he stated simply. He wished to talk to her. He knew better than to let people think they were better or worse than they are.

Calix watched Olin and the Serena step away from the group. He sighed and stood by the stream, again finding himself staring into his reflection. This is what happens when you're a wanderer. Can't expect everyone to accept you, he thought to himself. I guess Serena will be good company if she ends up coming along. She's in the exact same situation I am, he thought hopefully. He found himself relaxed by the view of the flowing water, and closed his eyes.

Serena smiled at Calix. "It's what I need to do." she said, tilting her head slightly. And at Arc's introduction, she turned to him. "Pleased to meet you." She said, bowing to him. Turning to Olin, she nodded. "Of course, what is it?" she said, walking up to him.

Neferous listened well and hard, becoming more and more worried. They seemed to snare more injured people like Calix and Serena. He expected that both of them had a reason they were wondering from the world, and a black secret to match it. But in that sense, they were like himself. Then again, he felt that he was abandoning Olin by not voicing suspicions. Nef waited for Serena and Olin to finish

Olin led the girl away from the group. When they were out of earshot, he turned to her and stated in a calm, but hushed, voice, "I know what you are. I will not force you to reveal it to the rest of the group, but just know that eventually the rest of the group will find out on their own. Look at the group. We have a demon, several humans, an angel, and a Lycan. You have no racism to fear here.
"At the same time, do not question us on our mission. I don't like how welcoming the rest of the group was to our other new edition. People are too trusting." Olin closed his eyes. He thought for a quick moment before adding, "this is nothing against you, just that our mission is dangerous."

Serena stared, her skin going pale. "I-" she shook her head. "Thank you for explaining that to me. And as for your 'mission', I've probably lived through more dangerous. But, if you would like me to leave it be, then I will. "If you have noticed my mixed heritage, then most of the others would have as well. I am just not used to having others be kind...ish to me. Thank you. "Now, I am no serial killer, have never stolen in my life, and have never willingly hurt another on purpose. So, you have nothing to fear from me." Smiling once again, she regained her color, turned, and looked at Neferous. Walking over, she tilted her head to the left slightly. "You look as if you would like to say something... What's on your mind?"

Neferous raised his head to look at Serena. She definitely had traces of demon in her, but she was bleeding too much and her face too colored. If she was what he thought, that would explain her strike from society. "If you haven't taken a life then you should probably know," Neferous said professionally, "we are all murderers. We're righteous murderers, and we don't kill unless there is a need. Still, that's what we do. You'd do well to know when to let us fight and where to go when that happens."
