*Brimmstone notices Raiden's actions and finally is able to awaken. While Raiden had not been in Yokoshima's grasp nearly as long as Brimmstone has, he can understand just how far Raiden had to go to get to this point. The courage and selflessness that someone so young displayed is nothing short of astounding. Even if Raiden has only been Yokoshima's puppet for a few years, it's still impressive that he could change so much in such a short amount of time. Spending countless decades planning his revenge against Yokoshima, Brimmstone allowed himself to become a pawn. To him, it was necessary in order to learn the truth about Yokoshima's influence in past events. Because of the time spent as a pawn, he knows all about Raiden's involvement with Yokoshima. He's seen dozens of people like Raiden become nothing more than fleeting marionettes. He understands just how difficult it is to break free of those strings, and seeing Raiden's efforts just goes to show how much strength Raiden has. He knows more about him than Raiden may ever realize. It's more than enough to help Brimmstone find the strength he needs to overcome his rage.* "Enough." *Little by little, his determination shines through everything. Through Yokoshima's influence, through Zehuti Faust's necromancy, through Tarvos' possession, and even through normal bounds.* "I said...Enough."*It's difficult at first. There has been so much diluting his sense of purpose....his need to finish what had been started between him and Kold. But he made up his mind. This stops now. Period.* *Brimmstone yells at the top his lungs:* "I SAID THAT'S ENOUGH!!!!!"*This yell was like a declaration from a king, or maybe even higher. More importantly, something else happens. Brimmstone's will is so strong, that his determination actually becomes power. Right now, everyone can feel Brimmstone's determination. It's overpowering and if they weren't all seasoned warriors with strong mental fortitude, they would have been unable to withstand Brimmstone's will and faint. Everything stops. Kold's cryomancy is nullified, Kokujo's shadow magic is nullified, all influence over Brimmstone is nullified. Everything stops. Even the shuriken is blown back from the sheer force of Brimmstone's will. For a moment, the entire castle, and all other background noise becomes quiet. Silence.* ((If you're having a tough time understanding, it's the exact same thing as in this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YwSG-2i6gU )) *Tarvos' spike form bleeds out of Brimmstone's chest and is transformed into a pendant and falls to the floor. Brimmstone slowly descends to the floor and picks up the pendant, genuinely surprised at what just happened. He seems to know what happened, but is astounded that it happened at all.*

There was the sharp sound of metal on stone as the deflected shuriken lodged one of it's points into the dark floor after being deflected by Brimmstone's sudden outburst. This was followed by the lighter sound of Kokujo landing on his feet a little ways away after being ousted from the shadows when his magic was blown away. He was still on guard, not quite sure what had just happened. Even though Brimmstone physically had done nothing, Kokujo had still felt a huge unseen force, almost like a wave hitting him, it was something he would find it hard to describe. "....What was...that?" he half whispered to himself, managing to regain most of his outward composure, and staring towards Brimmstone critically, as if trying to find some kind of physical evidence of what happened. "His attitude suddenly changed too, I wonder, did he just break out of their grasp with his will?" he wondered, starting to fit some peices together in his mind. Dark energy seemed to flow from his person, collecting and froming around his shoulder. A couple of beedy red eyes lit up in the blackness and the excess energy whisped away to reveal Corbenik, having had his corporeal form suddenly interrupted by Brimmstone. "Jeez-louise oven-head" He piped up, looking quite un-thrilled at being will'd in the face without warning "Anger management; have you heard of it?! I think I owe that jerk a punch in the everything at the next opportunity I get" he added, huffing. An observant onlooker though, may notice he seemed a little distracted, his eyes glacing down the the pendant in Brimmstone's hand.  Over at the other side of the room, the darkly sophisticated and now rather displeased sounding voice of Zehuti spoke up, as he gave Brimmstone a look of contempt and disbeleif. "You....so you had the potental for that? This eventuality was absent within the extensive data I collected, I already documented your limitations, down to simple numerical notation. How dare you defy my control, Hotsu". It seemed that the bad doctor knew exactly what happened, at it certainly seemed he didn't like it one bit. Though he seemed to be the least physically affected, for the first time to the crew his smug outward demenour gave way to signs of irritation.

*Kyla drops to her knees from the force of Brimmstone's outburst. She grits her teeth and watches intently. The fight appears to be over. She glances back at Zehuti, and her lip curls with a low growl as she wonders if he plans to attack before anyone can catch their breath. She keeps Hien gripped tight in her right hand.*

The rush of power from Brimmstone washes over Raiden and it forces him from unconsiousness. His eyes slowly open like those of a college student on a Monday morning.
"Nnnngh....somebody tell Captain Zippo to tone it down. I just absorbed his miniature solar apocalypse. The least he could do is let me sleep it off."
He coughs.

*Kold stares at Brimmstone, trying to process what just happened.
Brimmstone used Outrage.
Kyla used Agility
Raiden used Protect
Kyla's happiness stat to Raiden went up +1
Kokujo used Ominous Wind
Kold used Ice Car, Flying Ice Strike, and Arctic Dungeon
Raiden used Giga Drain
Brimmstone used Hyper Voice
Brimmstone has been healed from his confusion
Lunar Hope Crew is confused.
Zehuti used Grudge
Brimmstone caught Tarvos. Give a nickname to Tarvos? Tarvos will be transferred to Pendant's PC
He looks at Brimmstone's chest. There doesn't seem to be any wound from the spike, and now he has a pendant. That force...what was it? It was somehow familiar, and Kold has a passing senstation of fury and fear....though it's strange, it's as if those feelings are someone else's....and he just happens to feel it too. He collects himself and stands up. It looks like Brimmstone might explain this. He glances over to Raiden, then to Brimmstone.*

*After a moment of grasping the situation, Brimmstone once again goes on the offensive. There's a lot to explain here, but for the moment he needed to seize the opportunity. He gathered blue flames in one hand and seemed to "charge" the energy. Magma rises from the floor and solidifies as spiked lava rocks. In his other hand he gathers red flames in his other hand and charges that energy to create intense flames around the rocks. He clasps his hands together to combine the two and launches a huge volley of meteors at Zehuti. This all happens quite fast, so Zehuti may not be able to react in time.*

Zehuti raised his staff in the airf for a moment, the red eyes on the gruesome skull decorations pulsing with energy for a few moment "Summoning: Boneyard Sentinel" he hissed, slamming the butt of his staff into the ground in a wave of ghostly energy. A couple of massive skeletal forarms seemed to rise from the ground infront of the begrudged necromancer, holding themselves in a guard possition as the meteors pelted them. When the smoke cleared, the arms - or what remained of them - were in tatters from the fierce bombardment, but for the most part they had done their job as Zehuti himself only sported a small burn mark on his arm. Being undead he couldn't really feel pain, but there mere fact someone he considered his puppet had managed to lay a finger on him at all had him looking rather ticked off. If Zehuti was anything though, he was smart, and knew this was not a good time to rush into things. He needed to pull back for a moment and review his plans. "Hmf....You may have stolen your freedom back for the moment, but know that a free fool is still a fool no matter how much power you have. This is far from over...." Zehuti's grim voice echoed. There was a puff of smoke as what remained of the boney defence vanished, covering Zehuti for a moment, and when the smoke cleared he had made good his escape.

"Damn, he got away. Well I guess that's fine for now." *he dusts himself off and places the pendant around his neck then turns towards Raiden.* "Raiden. Rest for now. For your courage, I thank you. I've seen many like you and you've come farther than any of them could." *he walks towards the stairs and gives a quick wave with his hand as he does so.*

*Kold forms an ice wall in front of the staircase*
"Stop right there. We're not finished yet. I'm not gonna let you just walk away without answering for any of this. First of all, what the hell was that? You yelled and all of a sudden I felt this force. What was that?! Second, why did you come here if you were undead? That battle was needless, and yet we had to suffer the consequences."
*he looks towards Raiden, then back to Brimmstone*
"Third...I know you know who that masked boy was. The 'catalyst for the Great Cataclysm'? What's that supposed to mean? And I know you know about my memories. Why have they been altered? To what degree? Answer me!"
*Kold's tolerated a lot of secrets and confusion lately, so it seems he feels entitled to some answers.*

*Brimmstone raises an eyebrow* "For someone who tries to hide things as much as you, you sure are demanding a lot. If you want your answers, take them from me. Read my mind! Throw me against the wall with your psychokinesis. If you can do either, then I'll tell everyone what they want to know." *Brimmstone crosses his arms and waits*

Fine. *Kold tries to read his mind, but before he gets too far, Brimmstone's will forces him out. He tries to move Brimmstone with psychokinesis next, but Brimmstone sends out another burst of that force from earlier, making Kold's knees to buckle a bit. He regains his posture after some effort.*
"What....?! How is this possible....?!"

"It was just to test it...but it's true...!" *Brimmstone is shocked. He shifts from shock to slow excitement.* "I can't believe it....I thought it was only a myth..." *Brimmstone laughs for a moment, quite pleased with himself.* "With Clear Haki awakened, I will no longer allow anyone else's will to interfere with my own." *Brimmstone says this more to himself, and for a moment he seems to forget that everyone else is there. After a moment he looks up and notices that everyone's staring at him. They seem to have no idea what he was referring to.*
"Going by your reactions, I take it none of you have encountered this before. Not surprising. I'm shocked that I had it in me to be honest. That intense experience had awakened my 'Haki' (Ambition).
It's is a power that lies dormant in all the world's creatures... 'presence', 'fighting spirit' and 'intimidation'... It is not different from the things that mortals can naturally sense such as these... 'The act of not doubting'. That is strength!"
*Brimmstone leans against the wall, preparing for an epic explanation.*
"However, most people do not notice it or fail to awaken it. Broadly, there are two types of Haki common to everyone, given the proper training:
White Haki (Color of Observation) and Black Haki (Color of Armaments)
White Haki is a form of Haki that allows the user to sense the presence of others, even if they are concealed from view or too far to see naturally. When using this type of Haki, one can predict an opponent's moves shortly before they make them, thereby making the attack that much easier to evade. This prediction appears to the user as an image or brief 'premonition' of what the opponent will do in the user's mind's eye, and the damage the user will take if the attack actually 'hits'. From what I can gather....the more killer intent the enemy has, the easier they are to predict. Although, more skilled users can predict future moves whether there are ambient murderous intents or not.
Anahata of G.R.A.S.P. used this. He could not see, but moved and reacted as if he could. He also used the defensive capabilities of Black Haki too, but not nearly as much as White.
Black Haki allows the user to create a force similar to an invisible armor around themselves. This allows the user to defend against attacks that would otherwise cause them harm. Only significant physical force can overcome this defense. With training, it can be further honed into a weapon with which to strike others. It can be used to augment the user's own attacks, projected ahead of the user as pure brute force, or imbued in weapons to increase their effectiveness. Any attack enhanced by Black Haki hits immensely harder than it would normally without it.
Bushimaru of G.R.A.S.P. used this extensively. His sword attacks could deflect energy, and his latent armor from his 'Chield', and just the sheer amount of force he had in each attack.
In summary, White's observation are good for defense and Black's augments are good for offense. They're similar, yet different. A yin-yang.
However, there is a third type that only a certain group of 'chosen ones' are said to possess... Clear Haki (Absolute Haki / Colorless Haki) .
Clear Haki a rare form of Haki that cannot be attained through training and only one in a million people carry it. It grants the user the ability to overpower the wills of others. The most common usage is knocking those with weak wills unconscious.
While inexperienced users are restricted to merely overpowering the will of one individual or blindly knocking out weak-willed people around them, those with more expertise can pick out weak-willed individuals in a large group and knock them out without affecting those around them. However, those with stronger wills can resist or even ignore the effects of Clear Haki. It grows as the user's spirit grows, so in a sense it can be trained."
*he stands up, most of his long-winded explanation over with.*
"Honestly, I thought Clear Haki was just a myth. I've only heard about it in legends."
*Brimmstone shrugs his shoulders then points to Kold in particular.* "Psychic powers are using one's mind to overcome another's. Your will was not stronger than mine, so your powers had no effect."
*Brimmstone seems to give everyone a moment to process this information before he continues*

*Kyla listens and is impressed by this information. She sheathes Hien, and helps Raiden to sit up. She mutters to herself*
..haki...hmm...never heard that term before, mew mew. If Brimmstone can mentally overpower others...*She shivers a little thinking of how Brimmstone's allegance tends to (or at least seems to) sway at times, and the idea of being overpowered by Brimmstone's grey matter is not a pleasent thought. Also, she has a breif daydream in which Brimmstone flies around Gaia on a massive flaming brain laughing maniacally and burning cities to the ground. But then Kyla has a sudden thought, shakes her head and speaks loud enough for Brimmstone to hear*
Great! Excellent! You have so much prepostorone that you can brain slap your opponents. Very impressive. But....THAT STILL DOESN'T ANSWER ANY OF KOLD'S QUESTIONS.
We all think it's great that you've attained a whole new level of mysteriously terrifying, and, really very genuinley I am glad that you are no longer being controlled and that you're not dead...but...ANSWER THE FREAKING QUESTIONS!
We didn't come all the way here just for fun. We're here for a final showdown with Yokoshima and you clearly have information that could help us. So, please, please tell us. What's going on with Kold's memories, and who was that boy in the mask.

He's exhausted, but able to sit up. Raiden leans against Kyla for extra support while the room gets gradually less blurry. He coughs while he speaks though.
Hmmm...Haki. Though we were both able to reject Yokoshima's influence, I don't think it was through the same means. I don't have this "clear haki" or whatever you called it. My resistance built up very slowly, over time. And having Ashura's power on my side has helped me grow stronger. I should get a t-shirt that says, "I was subjected to Yokoshima's mental trauma and all I got was this lousy t-shirt instead of the power to punch people in the brain with my brain."
He coughs into his arm loudly.
Still, Kyla's right. Interesting as that information is...you still owe us a lot more answers. And at this point I don't think you've got the right to demand that we "take them from you" seeing as how...you know...we sorta helped you to awaken your shiny new toy.

Kokujo stood in the background as usual, having managed to compose himself in the time between Brimmstone's outburst and the present time. As a result he was now back to looking thoroughly unamused, folding his arms and throwing Brimmstone a rather suspect glare. He was gratful that it turns out Brimmstone had broken free from Yokoshima and Zehuti's control, but may have been more inclined to show it had Brimmstone not just tried to turn them all into economy-pack charcoal.
He listened stoically as Brimmstone explained his new mysterious power, his stony outward expression hiding his interest in this new revelation. "So....willpower manifested into physical form....considering that's how we're existing in this dimention to begin with in a way.... it's certainly not beyond reason" He mumbled to himself, trying to put the pieces together in his head.
He turned his attention back towards Brimmstone, speaking up "Well....your explanation has cleared up the issue of what happened right now....but as with Kyla and Raiden, I believe you owe us a little more than that. You've been hiding all sorts of answers from us, for longer than we probably know. I understand you have your personal secrets, Brimmstone, but this is no longer just about you and your own interests....I believe we deserve to know exactly what's going on here...." Kokujo said assertivly, leaveing only a fine line between asking and demanding answers.
Meanwhile Corbenik was busy being flopped over Kokujo's shoulder limply, looking very bored now that excessive violence was no longer occuring. "Great great, so Moltres-Man gained the ability to mind-rape other people's mind-rape. Captain-Fridgefreezer flummoxed his psychic jiggamawhozits and yet progress towards making lighter-face into a regular member of society still remains in negative figures" Corbenik summed up the situation from his point of view, while waggling around his floppy kitty arms. "Can't we just leave ol' ghost rider there to kick Yokoshima's a** for us and we can just go home and feed me icecream?" He suggested.
