"Just swollen pain," Isadora answered as she placed her back in the scabbard. Her legs felt somewhat weak for her to stand. But she couldn't let the pain took over her. Right now, she and the others had to get out before the dancer alerted the others. "Don't worry, it will go away. But for now, lead the way. We must escape hurry."

Though her pace was moving slower than the magic users, she wouldn't let it bother her. Her main concern was to get out, find her comrades, and tell them what had happened.

They moved forward until finally they saw light at the end of the tunnel. "There!" Octavio said. He looked back at Isadora. "You're still ok?" He asked. "We're very close. I can lend you my shoulder if you need it."

While traveling in the tunnel with the magic users, the pain was fading little by little. Though the paladin could feel the swollen with each step she took, time itself had given Isadora a slow recovery. With time went by, Isadora was able to walk normally with them.

In addition, she also had a little chat with Lucius of how well he was and what did he do after they had last departed from the Dreaded Isle. It turned out that Lucius had run an orphanage with under the guardianship to look after Rei. It was strange to hear how Lucius was chasing Rei while the shaman was in this world for months. Maybe time was different between this world and their home world.

As they reached to the end of the tunnel, she heard Octavio asked how well she was. Isadora lightly tapped her foot to the ground. So far, her legs were aching but no pain had shoot through her.

"I'm very well now. There's no need to lend your shoulder to me. However, I thank you for your concern, Octavio." Isadora replied. She then drew her sword out and raised her shield up.

"Let me take a look to see how many morphs are outside." Isadora instructed as she paced toward the opening. Although she had no idea how many morphs were outside from where they were, it would give the magic users the chance to cast their spells while she blocked the enemies with her shield.

Peeking around, she saw there were five on one side and five on the other. That would mean that the other ten must be in the back. Isadora came back to the group.

"Okay, there are ten morphs outside and I think there must be ten more from the other side of the manor." Isadora informed them. "So, what's the plan?"

Teifi the Fleetfoot wasn't like other combatants- she didn't see the need to trash talk her foes or sneer at them before she left. So while Isadora yelled at her while the boulders fell before her, Teifi focused wholly on how she was going to drag the General out of there. Putting her down for a moment so she could remove the makeshift spear from her hands, the dancer made sure to handle her newfound daughter carefully. She was in charge of the girl, now! She would protect her. She was as good as blood, in her book.

Remembering the sound of the barricade, the redhead turned back, turning her dark blue eyes back to the sharpened stick. If she couldn't intimidate, then she could at least threaten someone to step aside, even with her ankle still sore. Though she had to wrap her scarf around her own neck to keep it out of her way, she was well-prepared- she had all the tools she needed to get her beloved daughter back to the house and make sure she was safe and sound. Goodness knows, those hooligans were ready to make her trudge through anything, only to expose her to the harsh realities of outdoor life!

Staring up at Melethia as she made her way back to the library, Teifi's eyes were cold and threatening as she stared down the dragoness, her eyebrows furrowed and her arms holding Amelia almost bridal style. Her left hand, which held the girl's legs, also held with it the sharpened stick. Adjusting her grip so that she balanced the blonde girl's thighs on her arms instead of holding her steady with her hand, Teifi likewise brought up the tip of the 'spear' to point straight towards Amelia's face.

"Leave me, lest I kill your friend, first."

Daring her to attack, Teifi pushed past the woman, the stick still extremely close to Amelia's face. If she got attacked, nothing would stop her arm from jamming the limb straight into the girl's cheek, let alone her eyes or nose. While it was an empty threat, she said nothing and did nothing to make herself seem like anything more than a heartless barbarian.

Calling up from where she was, she moved to the exit and back towards the house- she would only be stopped if Melethia barred her way.

"Mika. Several of them have escaped. I've recaptured one of the attempted escapees."

"...Ten?" Rhys spoke up at last, having been silent up until that time. "Did you see their classes? Sword-wielders, magicians?"

I knew that voice back there... Teifi. Not sure what she meant by "thieves", but... at least Amelia wasn't hit by the cave-in.

This one fact consoled Rhys more than anything... for whatever reason, in that instant, Teifi had placed a high value on Amelia. If she'd REALLY wanted to, she could've probably taken the lot of them by surprise, but instead chose to let them leave while taking only Amelia back. So, when he looked at it that way...

It's bad, but it could be worse.

Mika heard this call from where she was. She growled under her breath. Escape?! Why would they dare run? Now... Now they will die. Mika ordered a morph to get the guards together and head towards the camp in the mountains. They'd obviously be heading that way. Mika went to make more morphs down in the basement. They'd need reinforcements. She began to make more... hundreds more... Morphs would overrun this world! She sent her army to rendezvous with the other morphs she sent after them.

Castello had very sensitive ears. Even in the shower, he could hear Teifi calling, and he slammed the knob against the wall before stepping out. After just a moment of thought, he decided that he should probably wear a towel, but as he walked down the hall toward the library, he sort of forgot why he had picked it up.

As such, Castello stepped into the library with the towel wrapped up around his hair, jerking his thumb over his shoulder as he stepped up behind Melethia. "Hey, Teifi! You gotta check out the baths, they have hot water that comes right out of the wall!"

He paused, surveying the scene and completely forgetting that he was (gloriously) nude. Slowly, he let himself shift to lean casually on the door frame, elbow pressed to the doorjamb, lifted up over his head while the other rested against his side. "... So what's going on, exactly?"
PostPosted: Tue Jun 16, 2009 8:08 pm

(( Oh dear Lord, why did you have to do that Castello? DX ))

Isadora nodded. "Yes. Three magic users, two soldiers, two sword wielders, an archer, and two pegasus knights. However, if that dancer alert Mika and the Heroes, it would mean that more morphs will come. I'm not sure about the Heroes though. They may come or not."

Isadora looked back at the opening. It look like they had to change their plan. She knew that Rhys was strong since he was the Bishop. However, she wasn't sure about Lucius and Octavio. She was unsure how strong or powerful could Octavio was..... But if he was able to bypass the Heroes and Mika without their knowledge, it was well that he may be more than what he appeared to be. As for Lucius, she knew that Lucius had a delicate condition, but he was pretty strong. After all, they both had fought when they were in Elibe.

"Judging from those ten morphs, I think we would be able to handle them. However, if more morphs came, we maybe outnumber...... I suggest about taking down ten morphs and then run to find our comrades before reinforcement come. After all, we don't know where our comrades are at nor how far are we from them."

Everything was dark, incredibly odd... Amelia could vaguely feel she was being moved as she lay motionlessly in Teifi's arms, but that was the extent of being able to recognize anything. She had always been a hardy thing, and that chloroform was strong, but she was starting to feel little pinpricks of light pierce through the blanket of unconsciousness.

Little traces of speech registered. "...Teifi! ... the baths, they... ....out of the wall!"

Her green eyes flickered. A little sound went past her lips, and she groggily shook her head from side to side, hair flipping back and forth. Her arms stayed limp against her stomach as she tried to make out shapes, her vision heavily blurred and still dotted with black at the edges. Vaguely she could see a redheaded woman's face above hers as she turned her head to the side, finding a man with what looked like a rather large bundle of cloth on his head. Amelia considered that he sure had on a lot of flesh-colored clothes, then turned her eyes down a little to be afforded the very... ahem, nice view as her vision cleared a little more.

Oh. Wait. Not clothes.

And out of shock, she found her vision black once more, and Amelia went limp again in Teifi's arms.

Melethia let Teifi go. She wasn't going to let Amelia get hurt if she could help it and she could right now.

When her eyes turned to see Castello though, she freaked. "Oh RANGAROK!!! THAT ISN'T A SIGHT TO SEE!" She covered her eyes. "DAMNIT THAT BURNS!" She crawlled away from Castello with her eyes still closed.

Thankfully, Melethia moved aside with little difficulty- she didn't really need a fight, and the entirety of her magic was focused around making sure her ankle didn't give whenever she limped forward. An empty bluff, fueled by desperation and a desire to protect- that was all she needed to assure her own safety, and Amelia's, as well. Listening to someone approaching, she looked up just in time to see Castello stepping into the library in all his nude glory.

She wasn't phased in the least. It was like a parent bathing their naked infant, in her eyes- it was nothing that she was going to freak out over, unlike the poor shrieking dragoness. As a matter of fact, she managed to keep her eyes off of his most embarrassing parts with no problem at all and just looked the raven in his gray eyes.

Granted, they were narrowed with irritation when she realized that Amelia had seen him nude (that wasn't something she wanted her daughter to see!), but she met him in the eyes nonetheless and turned her face away from Castello with a shift of her body. Too little too late, perhaps, but it was better than risking the chance of her opening her eyes and seeing it again.

"Castello! Put on your clothes- you'll blind the poor girl." Suddenly realizing that now might not be the best time for scolding- he did ask for an update, after all- Teifi jerked her head towards the pathway and stepped over the makeshift barricade. She wanted to get out of the library and get the girl into her bed, safe and sound.

"Several of them escaped. The priest that healed me... and a few others I didn't recognize. How many people were here, Castello? There was a blond man and a boy with white hair. I didn't see them here before." With a heavy sigh, she looked back to her adopted son again and would have waved him off if she could.

"Go and get Triumph. I'm sure he'll help you find them."

Castello blinked, raising a brow at Melethia's reaction. "I know, I know," he said, "It's a little frightening, right? Don't worry, it's not gonna hurt you. I'm frankly not terribly interested." He turned his head a bit, looking thoughtful as he answered Teifi. "Well... these two, plus... a blonde guy and a white-haired guy?" Weird. "And then the carrot-top with the staff and the lady with the blue hair and the sword. So four of them escaped?" He frowned, and with a sigh unwrapped the towel from his head, then tied it around his waist.

He wasn't the type to take orders, though, and he didn't take them well. Not even from Teifi. As the dancer stepped past him, he grumbled and muttered, "Tell Evelyn to go, I'm goin' out." Without waiting for her to respond, he swept around her, molting a single black feather on the floor as he made his way back up to his new room to get dressed.

Melethia opened her eyes a bit. "That wasn't a good sight to see. Glad he didn't touch me. I would have screamed rape if he did." She stood up. At least she was alone again. She contuned to look around the library to see if there was anything else she could find out about what happened here and what happened to Rei.

"Ugh..." she said still trying to get the thought of Castello out of her mind. "I wouldn't have minded if he covered himself there BEFORE I saw him. Cause he's not a bad looking raven, but I didn't want to see all of him." She shuddered a bit before she sniffed the air.

"This isn't good." She stated, "Rei's scent is covered now because alot pf people entered this place." She sniffed the air some more "Lets see Amelia, Rhys, and Isadora." She listed off the scents, "The blond she-male, the white haired one, the dancer, and the raven. I think his name was Castello. Then there is Rei, who's scent is now faint, and then there is one more faint scent. I can't tell who's it is. But who ever it is...I'm really sure it was the person who did something to the shrimp."

Melethia took a good look around the library. "I might be in trouble now that I figured something out." Melethia though was willing to take that risk.

Evelyn groaned, as she rose from where she was seated against the wall. Sleeping on the floor and against a wall definitely hadn’t been one of her better plans. There was no helping it now though; Evelyn would just have to suffer the sore consequences of the awkward sleeping position. Sore hardly described it though, there was pain in so many places and she had a headache. Wait, the headache wasn’t from sleeping, it was from yelling. What kind of idiot yells when a girl is trying to get some beauty sleep? Honestly, what nerve!

Hissing and grumbling under her breathe, the Beastmistress made her way to where she had heard the yelling; that being, the library. It was just as Castello was leaving that Evelyn caught the last bit of the little conversation Teifi and him had been having. A small demented smile crept onto her face as she watched the mostly nude Castello leave the library bound for other places. Normally, Evelyn would have complained about having to be sent because Castello was too lazy to do so himself, but today was different. After all, it had been a while since Evelyn had gotten some good use out of her tome. But what better way was there to but it to use than to go after some escapees and paint the path home with their blood? Oh yes, Evelyn was not going to let this chance slip by and allow some other hero to be sent in her place.

“Teifi, Teifi~” Evelyn said in her sing song voice as she skipped over to the mother of their group. “Oh, do send me, I would just love to take Triumph out for a little walkie and find me some cute little escapees.” The girl seemed to purr as she cutely begged Teifi to allow her to go out. Cute, was something Evelyn usually wasn’t, so when she acted as such, it usually meant she had some sick, devilish plan up her sleeve. “Mother, I’ll be sure to play nice with the people and come home before its too dark out,” she continued to say before sealing the deal with a small peck on the red head’s cheek. Evelyn wasn’t about to wait for an answer as she skipped out of the room humming. “I’ll be home in time for breakfast!”

Before leaving she made a quick stop in the room she had claimed as hers. Before falling asleep on the floor she had taken off her headband and earrings, as well as left her tome on the bed. Oh hey, there was a bed in the room, now why the hell did she sleep on the floor? Too late for that though, next time, next time. Evelyn was still humming as she put on her sparkly accessories and snatched the tome off her bed. Tonight was going to be so much fun. It had been centuries since the girl had last unleashed her magic on some poor unsuspecting victims. She shivered remembering the joy that filled her body as their screams of terror reached her ears, when the victims realized her tome had given them synesthesia. That was only if the magic didn’t kill them first though, so not many people ever got to experience the horrible event.

“Mikaaaa, I’m going out out out!” Evelyn chirped as she ran back down the stairs and twirled out the door. Perhaps he had planned it, but the first thing the teal haired girl saw when she exited the house was her mount still flirting with that horse! “Puppy,” she yelled as she jumped onto his back and made herself comfortable. “It’s time to go and get you some dinner. You can flirt with Victory all you want later.” Evelyn purred into one of the Gwyllgi’s ears while petting his fur. “It’ll be just like old times, my dear,” she continued to reminisce as the playful nature vanished to be replaced by one that was just simply evil. A larger smile spread across her face as she began to laugh like a crazy person. The laughter died down as she pulled on Triumph's fur to steer him in the right direction. “Just like old times…”

"No one is in here now." Melethia told herself. "Good." she sniffed the air again for that unknown scent. "Maybe I can find who this goes to." She followed the scent out of the library. "It's stronger out here. So they are still around here." Melethia contuned to follow the scent not knowing she was following Mika's.
