Ren arrived ragged and tired. He had been searching for a way back to the Earth Dojo for a day and a half. Being kidnapped definitely took a toll on his psyche. There was a lot on his mind about what Bao revealed to him as "the truth" of Kaimen's original intentions.
Can't be true...
He entered the Earth Dojo's walls and fell asleep on the floor

A rush of air is speeding along the rock path of the Tsuchi Dojo. It kicks up sand and dirt on either side of it, making the entity's presence known. As it gets closer to the Tsuchi Dojo doors, it slows down and begins to take on shape and color. Finally, it stops, just five feet from the door, and Jin trades his air form for his physical form. He stands there and waits for the small dust storm he's created to die down. Once the dirt is properly settled, Jin steps forward and opens the door.
Deep blue eyes scan the dim interior. Ren is easy enough to spot, lying where he is on the floor. But he isn't as worried about Ren as he is an ambush. He doesn't find evidence of the enemy, though. No recent scents. No out of place sounds. And the spies that followed him to the Tsuchi Dojo find no strange presences.
Jin sighs and enters the dojo, leaving the door open for light. He takes a knee next to Ren and gently places a hand on the boy's back.
"Hey, buddy. Do nah make me fetch water in a bucket ta be wakin' ya. Ren! Come on now."
The dragon's voice starts out soft, but increases to a casual level as he keeps talking. He doesn't want to startle the boy, but he needs to get his attention.

Ren snorted loudly and continued to sleep. He had never experienced that long of a fatigued state before. His heavy sleeping was a result of it.

Jin snickers and shakes his head. The tall man stands up and walks away from Ren. He stops at one of the pillars that support the roof of the Tsuchi Dojo, turns around, and lets himself slide to the floor against it. For now, he'll watch over the boy and let him rest.
While Ren rests, Jin forms an air spy and begins to practice with it. He tests its receptiveness to different forms of stimuli. How much stimuli can it successfully process at once? And how long does it take to process the stimuli and send it back to Jin? Are there any adjustments he can make to make the spy more receptive to one kind of stimuli opposed to another? Once he's done with that, he begins to practice condensing the spy for use as an air bomb. He doesn't detonate any. He just practices condensing it farther and farther, pushes the air to move faster, and practices locating the central point that safely detonates the air bomb.

An elongated ear twitches as one of Iri's spies emits her voice. Jin listens carefully, muttering something back each time. The last time, he takes longer to respond. He has a more complicated order.
Jin closes his eyes and lets the air bomb in his hands carefully dissipate. Then he begins to focus on Ren and the energy around him. He feels the boy's energy. And like a bloodhound catches an old scent, he feels the residual energies of the people who have been near him. By association with the energy signatures he recognizes, he can strike them off one by one as insignificant in this exercise. Until he finds one that sticks out. There's something very faint. He wouldn't have found it, unless he had been pressed. He's not even sure as to what it is. But it's got Bao's energy signature. And though he would have taken it as residual before, he now recognizes it as more like a very slight recent signature. Kind of like Iri's weaker versions of her spies. It's like finding the energy signature of a gnat. And it takes much fine tuning for him to be sure of what it is.
Jin opens his eyes and thinks of the energy signatures standing around Iri. He recognizes the man she calls Reeve. And there's another one. That must be Tutsumi. Jin throws out a telepathic link and begins to convey what he's seeing.

Jin forms a few small, barely perceptible air spies. They float over to Ren and hover above him. The three of them send out small pulses of air. Jin closes his eyes and begins to picture the images they send back kind of like how a bat uses sonar. Before he gets close to a sleeping nin, even a young one, he wants to be able to pick out a target and go for it.
Not that Jin is suspicious of Ren. But if Bao planted something on the boy, it could mean trouble for him and the rest of the academy. Even if Ren gets mad at him for it, it's something Jin has to do.
As Jin concentrates, the spies move. They're examining Ren from different angles, trying to figure out the source of the possible target.

Ren shuffled in his sleep and adjusted his position on the floor. He would hit the air spies by accident if they didn't move out of the way during the shuffling. Ren was feeling uncomfortable on the hard floor but he continued to sleep; not as heavily as before.

Luckily, air spies don't have much mass. Swatting one would feel like swatting a gnat. Not enough to wake a sleeping person. And Ren's movement helps Jin out. It gives him a better range of examination. And that's when he finds what he's looking for. While Ren is still shuffling and not as likely to notice a small movement, an air spy makes it into his pocket. With a gentle nudge, a small piece of paper is extracted. All three spies begin to circle around it, carrying it on an isolated current of air, and toward Jin. When it reaches him, Jin cups his hands and lets it settle in his two palms. Cautious of the scroll, Jin keeps a tiny current of air between it and his hands. He lets his head droop, chin almost touching his chest. It looks as though he's meditating, and this is the pretense for cupping his hands in such a manner. Until Ren notices the scroll is missing, it need not be brought up. Jin needs to think of a way to approach the subject first.

Jin gets to his feet, moving so carefully his armor and hakama don't even make a noise. Taking a deep breath, Jin walks toward the door, and as he does so, summons cushions of air under his feet. The air cushions prevent his wooden sandals from clacking on the floor. When he gets to the door, a gust of air opens it and allows Jin to leave without taking his attention off of the scroll in his hands. The door closes the same way. Then Jin takes off in the direction of Kaze.
For the better part of his run, Jin uses the air cushions beneath his feet. They prevent him from making noise on the stone walk way of Tsuchi, and lend him a little speed. After he's out of range of general chakra senses, he puts a little more into the technique and gives his speed a higher boost.
And as Jin runs, he works on Tutsumi's advice. He begins to wrap the scroll in layers of his energy carried by tiny currents of air. It's like covering a ball in a giant piece of ribbon. He keeps doing this all the way back to Kaze, until he can no longer sense anything but his own energy. Jin's energy is effectively disrupting whatever can be felt coming from the scroll.

Ren kept tossing and turning in his sleep periodically. Eventually he stopped moving around and continued to stay fast asleep.

Breathing heavily, Ookamimaru stumbled past the treeline, towards the dojo doors.
Tracking a person who is dissolved into air seemed harder than expected.
He had lost Jin's scent somewhere halfway, the air had already blown the scent into another direction.
After roaming around the woods for quite some time looking for tracks -which where obviously not there since air doesn't make any footsteps- he arrived at the Tsuchi dojo out of mere coincidense, rather than tracking skills.
Still panting, he hobbled to the entrance along the path, not wanting to spoil the bandages any more by walking through the sand, though they already where stained by mud and blood.
When standing in front of the door, he put his nose in the air.
Apart from the smell and sounds of Ren sleeping, he detected Jins odor, but only faint.
It seems he has only been here for a short period of time, and left already.
Huffing, he scratched the door.

Ren's eyes squinted while they were closed at the sound of scratching. It wasn't loud enough to wake him up so Ren's eyes stopped squinting and went back to normal.

Not really thinking he could have expected a reaction of a human sleeping -since they sleep ubelievably deep- he stopped scratching and entered the dojo by opening the doors with his left hand, while his right hung limp by his side.
Peeking past the ajar door, he saw Ren lying on the middle of the floor.
making an approving sound from his throat, he entered and shuffled towards Ren, trying to walk as quiet as possible.
He went to sit beside him, not doing anything to wake him up.
He just stared at him, and waited for him to wake up.
After all, who knows where he has been through.

Half-an-hour passed and Ren was starting to wake up. He sat upright and rubbed his eyes hard, "OW! Too hard!" Ren tried to massage his eyes from how hard he rubbed it in the first place.
He didn't notice Ookamimaru sitting there yet.
