Night had fallen, and it seemed as though the flow of campers had -finally- stopped. Thankfully.

And it was quiet. An almost nice kind of quiet because Chris wasn't around with his mega----

"ALRIGHT CAAAAAMPERS. GET YOUR BUTTS IN GEAR AND MOVE MOVE MOVE!"

Oh -crap-. Better follow him to the Campfire Ceremony area.

"Waaaow..." Jay took a while to process the appearance of the Messhall. Yesterday, when she arrived, it was crowded and full of mindless chatter and laughter of fellow campers. Now it was empty. Totally, completely deserted.

For a moment she reconsidered going in, but her stomach grumbled loudly, moving her paws to slide open the Messhall door. The place was creepy, really. Absolutely no one around.... No Chef, no Chris, no campers....

No Chef!

Jay's golden eyes got wide and greedy as she looked longingly at the door that opened to Chef's kitchen... Maybe, just maybe if she was really quiet and stealthy... But, honestly.. She didn't want to be the test subject, the first to find out "what happens when you tresspass in Chef's kitchen". Shuddering at the thought, she walked over to a table, sitting down and proceeding in drumming her fingers on the table. It was the damn morning. Chris woke them up. "You don't wake people up if there's no breakfast on the table, damnit!" Oops, did she say that out loud? Oh well. Her voice echoed in the now-colossal-looking Messhall.

"Awww, don't tell me my little wakeup call upset you..."
There it was. That mocking voice which surely had a mocking smile to back it up. Chris strolled his merry way into the messhall and found himself a nice comfy perch...by sitting on -top- of one of the tables near the front of the hall. Figures he'd choose a seat close to the kitchen doors.

"Cmooon man I let you guys sleep! That's more than you'll be able to say in a few days~"

Sitting cross-legged on his table of choice, Chris absently reached up and pawed at a piece of his hair. After a few casual strokes it was back in place and he could turn his award winning smile right on Jay.

And there he was. That midget p***k of a host, mockery and all. Joy. And then, THENNNN, of all the nerve, he gave Jay that smug smile that reeked 'I-have-all-the-benefits-you-don't-and-there's-nothing-you-can-do-about-it-so-HA'.

"Upset? UPSET?! Where's the food, man?!" Jay scowled at him, rage cheered on by her empty stomach, "and you could hardly call that letting us sleep." That guy was always messing with his hair and the likes. Well, Jay would like to mess with his hair. It'd come out in patches if she had a say in it! And if that didn't get her booted from camp. She was in this to win this now, right?

Chris gave a casual shrug and shook his head.
"Dunno dude, I don't get paid to cook."
Psh, how should he know where the food was? Cooking wasn't his job and he had already had his brekkie. Those campers were just going to have to wait until Chef got breakfast rolling.
"Besides, never said food was ready. Just said it was your wakeup call. Haha!"
His laugh man -his laugh-. So natural and yet so evil.

At least Chris looked well rested. If Chris was bad on a full night's sleep he'd probably be unbearable on a lack of sleep.

Jay scowled, the b*****d kept his little mockery game up. Ooh, if only she could get him back... But no, that was for later plotting. Yes. Now she needed food. And this guy wasn't going to help.

Where was that damn Chef? Should've went into the kitchen earlier, before he came. Should've, should've... That lazyass Chef probably won't show up for hours anyways. Ugh.

"Then what do you get paid to do, dearest host? I would've thought you'd at least get us all fed at regular times!!"

"Uh...to host? DUH."
SHEEESH were these campers -really dense- or what?
"I'm also the writer, background designer, director, executive producer, pilot-in-training, and...something else heh heh!"
That something else was the worrisome pa---wait. Chris was allowed to fly?! Oh shi---

"Again, food's not my job. I have noooothing to do with your menu or meal times. Soooorrryyy~"
No, no he wasn't. Why should he have them fed on -regular- times. It'd take out some of the drama!

Serena had been walking up to the Mess Hall when she heard talking.. Well sorta talking. Someone was talking and other person sounded very upset. She recognized the upset voice as Jay. A surprised look came to her face. When she had met her the night before, she seemed so calm and nice. Whoever she was talking to, must have upset her pretty bad. Who in the world could she have been talking to that was so entirely upsetting like this? Well curiosity would get the better of her, and soon enough she came into the hall and smiled. "Morning Jay." She glanced over at the older audio. He was the one who broke the news to them last night they had lied to everyone. "Good morning." She had forgotten his name out of being just woken. He seemed to have a paw in everything. Smiling as nice as possible without trying to show how she was upset, she was careful to choose her words and speak gently. "Sorry to bother you but would you happen to know what happened to the brownies I had packed in that bag that was left with me? They seem to have gone missing and I really wanted to share them with Jay here, and everyone else in my cabin."

Before Jay could retort, Serena walked in. She seemed quite cheery and oblivious, smiling at Chris and all. What was she thinking?

The right thing, really. If she got all friendly with him their team could get... No! She wouldn't even think of it. No need to jinx such a marvelous thought.

But still... Serena actually politely asked him what happened to her brownies, "hah, if I got a guess at who took them I'd say it was him right there." Man, would she kill for a brownie. Serena looked like such a great cook, too. Goddamit.

Chris' ears perked as the next camper filed in. Amazingly he was polite enough to let her speak -and- he seemed to be giving it careful consideration.
"Hrmm....brownies huh? About yaaaay big?"
He gestured with his paws, trying to see the brownies in his mind.
"Packed in your bag right? Enough for the team? Hrm..."

The host tapped a paw against his chin, deep in thought.
"Yeah! I saw them! Chef found them while we were going through bags for usef---ahah, dangerous things. We confiscated em dude, no outside food or drink."
The host gave a 'no no no' gesture to Serena, the calm smile on his maw once more.
"Don't worry though, they were delicious."

Serena flashed a smile to Jay. She would explain things later to her, though she was hoping she didn't have to after hearing the warning that cameras were everywhere and seeing how much control this guy seemed to have, it would give it away. "You guessed really well Jay." She beamed then looked at Chris. She seemed a little saddened by the fact that she wasn't allowed to have those brownies however she smiled. "I'm glad they came out so well and that they were enjoyed either way. I was wondering, since it seems like I missed a lot yesterday: Do you think I could make some more while I'm here? I would gladly make more for you and the staff here as well. I just really like baking. And if you don't want brownies again, I can make anything you'd like: cupcakes, cakes, anything involving an oven." She was friendly and she figured if she remained nice and did her best, maybe she could get what she wanted. She would have to fill in Jay this idea later.

......Huh.

Well um...what the heck? Where was the DRAMA? Dude he stole her brownies and ATE THEM. Why wasn't she upset? What the hell was going on?
Chris looked a bit confused for a moment, and simply gave Serena a brow-raised stare. ....Huh. He um...well then.

Shaking it off, Chris decided to roll with it. Psh, why not? If someone wanted to give him something then he was going to take it. The fact anyone wanted to -cook- for him simply added to his ego. There was, however, the matter of dealing with the master of the domain.
"Hey if Chef wants to let you cook then I'm certainly not going to object. But dude, that's up to him."

Jay returned Serena's smile with a half-hearted one of her own. She was hungry. And somewhat tired. And here they were talking about delicious brownies! She couldn't take it anymore!

Back to the cabins for Jay. "Ugh, I'm going back!" She slammed her paws on the table, making a big deal of getting up and out of the Messhall with a single glare over her shoulder at Chris, then another smile at Serena, "could you please tell me when some food gets here?" And with that she rushed out and back to the cabin..

Serena only kept up her same calm smile. But inside she was snickering. She couldn't wait to tell the others at her cabin her plans when she had the moment to do so. She blinked and got a very uneasy look on her face. It was the first since that smile was gone. Seemed she wasn't always the cheerful sort. "You mean the guy with the sock-puppets last night?" She shuddered a little and shook it off. "Alright next time I see him I will. Thanks." She looked up at Jay and smiled. "How about I just go find us something to eat instead of waiting around? I'll see you back at the cabin Jay!" She waved goodbye to her. Those blue eyes turned back to Chris. "Have any advice when talking to Chef about using his kitchen?" Couldn't hurt to ask since it seemed this guy knew what she was getting into and she herself was clueless. "And do you have a favorite dessert you would like?"

"Yep, that'd be Chef-man! This entire building is under his control. Anyone wanting to do anything involving food has to go through -him-."
He was torn really. Food was always good, but he had Chef himself to cook him whatever he wanted. That and watching this poor camper suffer at the paws of Chef...

...Oh man this could be rich.

"You know. Chef really likes it when campers show some initiative and cook for themselves. Less work for him, ya know? Besides he LOVES cooking. It'd do his heart some good to see someone else in there working..maybe you could teach each other a thing or two?"
Chris stretched and hopped down from his perch. He headed towards the door, making sure the wicked smirk didn't cross his maw until his back was to Serena.
"Maybe surprise him with something? Me...I could go for some more of those brownies."
With a tail swish he was gone, leaving the camper in the main lodge to figure out what to do for herself.
