You were thinking about joining the Army? Why?

Yeah, I wouldn't really recommend the military for anybody, regardless of the country.

I was thinking of joining, because I have nooooo idea what to do after highschool... (I'll be almost 19 when I graduate...) And my dad always told me to join. (But to be honest, he might have been sarcastic, or kidding... He's one of those people that shouldn't be taken seriously, because he's unable to make himself clearly serious/kidding.)
And also, I want big muscles, and be manly, and stuff. But I'm in kendo, and I just got some muscles. biggrin Nobody else other than myself can tell that they're there, but who cares...

Maybe other countries have a military that isn't so bad?

I'm about to graduate and I don't know what I want to do. I'm going to a community college until I figure out what I want to do with my life and then try to get into a better school. How long is it until you graduate?

Who, me? I'm not in school anymore; In stuck in Hell, otherwise known as the Navy. And I don't get out of there until August of 2011. At the very least, use community college to get rid of those pesky courses that almost every degree needs to complete.

I took some community college classes. They were a whole lot cheaper than doing it at a four-year college! They were really easy, though. Kinda felt like high school again...

The navy does feel like high school. In all the worst ways imaginable!!!

Stupid rules, your bosses treat you like children, you have to get permission to do anything (even going to the bathroom sometimes), can only get food during scheduled times. It's all kinds of stupid.

Hehe, I don't know about that. my high school is pretty lenient on everything as long as your present on time.
Drugs? Sure. Fight? Well...maybe a saturday. Failing? Make it up online.
But dying your hair if you aren't preppy is a suspendable offense. A girl was in my office last week for reddish hair and she has to dye it another color, but a preppy girl's had bright pink hair for weeks and no one's said a thing. I don't understand school rules.

That's just wrong. Rules need to apply to everyone or there isn't a point in having any.

the school district's sort of messed up here. I can't recall the last time I did classwork. Which might not be a bad thing...
