Zyke saw the Asteroid closing in, and he new that he couldn't charge another Raion in time, nor could he muster the ki required fast enough. Luckily for him though, the Asteroid had taken a great amount of damage already from the beam. Zyke's pulse began to race as the rock was coming in fast. He resorted to using a faster technique he had learned earlier. He put his hands out to his sides, charging up ki shots in either hand, the ki of which was the same as Raion, dark, chromatic colors with sparks coursing up his wrists. He had grown to like the natural feeling of this ki rather than the ki he had usually accessed. He quickly threw two shots at the rock, hoping that they'd both hit their target, and that it would be enough to finish this one so that he may continue to the other two approaching threats. He began to power himself up, drawing out enough Ki to open his gates and gain the access to the power he needed to complete his objective; not dieing. He reached the limit on time he had to power up before he needed to begin to set his strategy in motion.

Zyke used this time and the Ki he had brought forth to open his ki gates, all of his latent ki rushing out to the surface in a painful and quick rush of power. The ki began splitting his skin, the splits almost looking like silver runes going over his body. To anyone looking on from somewhere else, they wouldn't be noticeable, the runes hiding under his suit. Zyke had drawn the power out he had believed he would need, but as he went to charge another Raion, he noticed that he would not have enough power in this state to keep himself alive in this position. He realized with a pang of guilt and worry that he had majorly underestimated the challenge he had brought upon himself, and in doing so, he had endangered everyone else on the ship as well. One idea came to mind as the asteroid came ever closer, and it would be his one chance of turning this bad situation around.

A power began to well up inside Zyke as his anger began to take over him. He put one hand out in front of him, sparks of bright chromatic ki sparking up his arm into his hand and collecting there into a blast. A silver aura formed around him as he began charging for his attack again. For those who were ki sensitive, the jump in his power-level would have been well enough of a hint to know what he had down. But seeing as he was covered head to toe, aesthetically it was impossible to know what had happened. Silver hair began to block Zyke's view slightly inside of his helmet, nothing enough to actually detriment his vision or aim though. The ki in his hand was gathering nicely, the attack forming in his hand with little effort to him. The sound that the ki made was similar to the sound of a powerful looming overhead, almost deafening to normal ears. Zyke began to relax, confidence growing as he began to believe that he would definitely be able to turn the tides of this conflict.

Zyke fired the charged attack from his hand at the approaching asteroid, the air around him resonating from the ki ripping it's way to the Asteroid. A sound that almost resembled that of some beast roaring could be heard as the blast flew through the air at it's target. A trained ear could hear a slight crackling sound mixed in with the overlaying sound in the area. The attack scored it's hit right on the mark, the beam colliding with the rock with tremendous force, the asteroid almost falling into tiny bits just at this, but still seeming to hold itself together for now. Zyke kneeled over in exhaustion after this attack, it had taken most of what he had out of him. He felt his transformation dissipating from him as these thoughts crossed through his mind, and he knew that his gates would be closing themselves right about now as well. He didn't know what he'd do to take out the last rock on it's course to the ship.

Zyke felt his transformation fade, his power returning to it's resting rate. he was extremely exhausted. He looked up to see the oncoming Asteroid, still a fair distance away. Judging by the distance and the rate at which it was coming, he thought that he might have a chance of actually stopping it. He stood himself up, and began to power his ki back up, he was going to need every last bit of ki he could muster to pull this rabbit out of this particularly grim hat. He was charging as much as he possibly could, but he didn't even have enough ki develop an aura around himself, but he didn't much mind, he had no need of flashy light effects right now, he just needed enough power to stop the Asteroid in it's tracks.

Zyke had to almost laugh at himself out loud. He had so little ki left, it only took him a few seconds to get access to all of is reserves, hell, he didn't even have enough ki remaining to use his signature technique. So he had two options left to stop this threat, and one of them he had banned himself from. So option two would begin to unfold. Zyke put his hands out to his sides and began to charge primal ki in his hands, sparks riding from it up to his wrists. He threw his hands in front of him, ki shots launching from his palms almost like a shotgun. They all flew straight for their target, the final Asteroid. Zyke had fired the ki shot but he didn't let up on charging the ki in his hands, no, instead he was already in the process of preparing to fire the next volley at the Asteroid. Thankfully, compared to his current amount of ki remaining, these ki shots didn't do much but dent into his remaining reserves. The only thing against him at this point was time, he had to barrage the Asteroid with these little shots until it gave way.

All the shots had hit their mark. Zyke grew slightly more encouraged by the fact that even through how much he had exerted his ki already, he could still aim a volley of shots at a target. His hands were still upraised, the ki still forming in his hands as he prepared the next volley. He was gonna fight this till the very end, his resolve was absolute, and he wasn't going to change away from that course for anything. He was never going to fail to defend something, or someone, ever again. The ki in his hands started to spark more intensely as his emotions began to stir from a long time ago.

A volley of six more crackling shot flew from Zyke's hands At that oncoming Asteroid. He still didn't let his hands down, had only a few more moments to destroy this thing, and he had to land most of his shots if he was to succeed.

Yet again the volley of shots hit it's target, victory was so close that Zyke could almost taste it in his breath. He yet still continued to charge the ki shots in his hands, still preparing for the next volley so that he may continue his onslaught without interruption.

Zyke let loose another volley of shots through the sky at the Asteroid. It was really beginning to show the wear on it now. Zyke could do this, he knew he could he just had to get the next couple attacks in with some extra power to them and the Asteroid would shatter into thousands of harmless bits. The shots flew through the air toward their target, a crackling sound being left in their wake as they went.

The shots each again hit their mark, the surface of the Asteroid showing the damage that it was sustaining in the form of cracks and crevices that now littered it. Tension began to grow in Zyke's mind, he was down to the wire, it was now do or die, and the last part was quite literal.
